The application adobe acrobat reader is not included in the the software package of this phone, and is not available to download in the nokia website, try to download from another S60 3rd edition phone from nokia website or visit adobe site.

i am using adobe reader 9.0; i can't view my pdf's.
i tried following the suggestions on the attached link:

i tried all the suggestions in the "try these first", adn the first three suggestions in the next section
now, i am able to save the pdf to my computer and open it in reader. however, i am trying to open some pdf files from the website: stocklayouts.com. i can' t save those pdf's onto my computer because i don't click on their address.

i did step 2, , checked and unchecked the Display pdf in browser
i did step 3., updated it and repaired, from the help menu

Open Reader by itself (look for its icon in the Applications folder, and double click on it), this should show you the EULA.

Many years ago during the Windows ME era, I created several short PDF slideshows with software (Adobe Photoshop Album) that included audio. I saved them to a flashdrive. I've got the same issue and I want to use Preview to read pdfs on Safari. At some point I had Acrobat Reader installed, but deleted it and everything associated with it. However no matter what, I get: "Before launching pdf documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the end user license agreement, then quit and relaunch the browser."
This means I am forced to use Reader, when I don't want to. There seems no way to default to Preview to read pdfs on Safari, even after deleting Adobe Reader completely.
Anyone have a clue how to fix this?

Hi, I am new here. I didn't know if it is the optimum catagory for my question, I hope you guys will help me.
In brief, I want to view PDF files like a flipping magazine. You know, just the same flipping effect that ibook did on ios. Adobe reader is the only choice to browse PDF on computer for me. It's kind of bothering and annoying now.
So, any ideas for that? Plus, my computer runs on win7 64bit.

How to view PDF files in Safari

Hi,
I can't view PDFs in Safari since updating to 5.1. I just get the annoying dark-grey screen
I don't have Adobe Reader/Pro installed, I don't have the internet plugin, I have tried running the phrase in Terminal that is supposed to tell Safari to open PDFs not get another program to (cut and paste into terminal as is from various other threads) and I have tried downloading the file form this address: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/22361/safari-display-or-download-pdf-files (incidentally, I can't download it because Safari tries to open the .dmg file in a new tab, but that doesn't work, nor does OPT-click -> Download linked file allow me to download it).
I've been to the Genius Bar at that local Apple store and the tech couldn't help - even though she looked at the problem for about 30 mins.
Does anyone know of any other possible fixes for this incredicbly annoying problem?

No it does not. You'll need the help of an application from the App store in order to do this. You can also view PDFs on the web via Safari.
And for future reference, please do not type in all caps. It gives the impression that you are yelling.

Still unable to view pdf because screen is black. Have gotten rid of library plug ins and done restart but still unable to view pdf files.

Is this in Safari or Preview?
You really need to use the "AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin" for Safari which comes with the Adobe Reader installation. Then you'll be able to see PDF files in Safari just find. I would also select Adobe Reader as your default application for opening and viewing PDF files. Preview just does a bad job with some PDF files.

I spent hours on this. pdf.js sucks ass. Neither foxit nor adobe reader works. I have been using firefox since 2.0.0.20. I will have to quit if I can't view the pdf files inside my browser! How to view .pdf hyperlink without it downloading?

I've published many sites in iWeb where I've hyperlinked text to a .pdf file and the .pdf simply opens in a new window.
Now I just published a site and for some reason, whenever I click on the hyperlink it downloads the .pdf and then opens it in Acrobat.
How can I get it back to where clicking on the hyperlink just opens the .pdf without downloading it each time????
I'm not sure it's a Safari issue because the other sites I have work properly: when I click on the hyperlink, the .pdf opens in a new window...no download.

Maybe I didn't explain it clearly...or maybe it's just over my head.
You are correct, the link to the file called "Introductions" works just fine from the iWeb address:
http://web.me.com/adamrogers/TEST/Home_files/01-Introductions.pdf
The .pdf file opens without it being downloaded.
But if you access the same file through the domain name that is masking the above iWeb address (www.onlineproductioninfo.com), the only way to view "Introductions" is after the file has downloaded...and I don't want that.
Is that just the way iWeb is set up when you choose the hyperlink as "A File"? If so, I don't remember it happening before and I've created many sites in iWeb.
It would seems strange if this was the case, especially since it seems to only occur when a domain is forwarded to the iWeb address with masking applied.
