does anyone know how to view a tv show bought and downloaded from itunes store on a Mac Book Pro? It won't allow it, says the format is not supported. good one Apple...

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of your question; was the TV show in question originally purchased and downloaded to the MacBook Pro you are currently trying to watch it on? You may want to try redownloading it per the following article:

    If you need to reinstall Mac OS X 10.8.x (there is no 10.8.6 yet, by the way), restart your Mac, hold down the Option key so you see all the bootable partitons, and boot to the Recovery Partition. From there you can reinstall Mountain Lion. You will need a good Internet connection.

    That's like asking how many cows can I get into a field.  It depends on the size of the field, size of the cows, the terrain of the field, etc.  We could use a bit more information on what you're trying to accommplish:
    1 - where are the photos being downloaded from.
    2 - how big are the photos?
    3 - where are you going to put the photos, i.e. into folders, into an iPhoto library?
    4 - how big is the hard drive in the Mac Pro and how much free space do you have on it?
    etc., etc, etc......

    You can only get 4GB or 8GB (2012 Models) in the Air when you order it that way.  Otherwise, you're stuck with 2GB.
