How to view WEBI Report in NWBC ?

Hi,
you can use the standard web based application called OpenDocument. You can find the details as part of the documentation for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise available on help.sap.com
Each report can be opened using simply the browser URL - which you can integrate into NWBC.

I had created a query and created the report by clicking create report button. But i am not aware how to view the report. I am unable to find appropriate menu item to view the user report.

Hi Wadood,
To view a already set-up report in the defined query layout, you need to open up query manager, select the report (do not double click - just highlight!) and then click on the print preview button.

Thanks for your reply .
we have comments column in our report . for each we have added one blank cell to give the comments purpose .
But Multiple Users are trying to edit the report same time so who ever saved the report those comments only available .
To avoid multiple users to edit the same report we want to implement the report locking mechanism similar to Universe Locking mechanism in Designer .

Go to CCM,select the Webi inteligence report server and in the property of the service add -trace at in the last.
to activate the ConnectionServer traces:
...\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\cs.cfg
And change the line <Traces Active="No"> to <Traces Active="Yes">

How to view the report instance without going thru the infoviwe in webi

all,
when you run a publication with a destination on infoview .. then as the end user who want to see the report i do have to go to the publication to see the report, is there a way to go directly to the report without passing thru the publication ?

You can use the SDK for viewing webi documents, but first you have to get the logon token (username, password, authentication).
You can see it for example in the CMC -> view
In order to get more information:

How to Refer WebI Report in SAP Portal

Hi Experts,
I want to show one of the report created in Web Intelligence rich client in SAP portal. I have done the SSO part and imported the par files and changed the configuration in web.xml as per the documentation.
Now ! I have developed the report and it is available in my local machine in UserDocs folder. How can i refer this report in SAP portal now. What r the parameters i should provide ?
I have created the BO Iview in portal by selecting the BO Iview template, but couldn't understand what parameters to provide and how to refer my report which is there in my local machine.

First step : transporting "par" files and epa files into portal.
imported   "com.businessobjects.pct.sap_pik.epa" file in portal
         deployed "com.businessobjects.pct.masteriview.par" in portal
         deployed "BusinessObjectsKM.par" in portal
Second step Created System Object and its parameters:
Host name of Crystal Enterprise Server : almboxi31.ho.almarai.com:8080
        Path of Crystal Enterprise Server           : /SAP
        Protocal of Crystol Enterprise Server     : http
Third step creating Iview
Iview Template                 : Integration Kit for SAP Iview

I have to display the web reports avaialable on our portal on the blackberry.
How can I achieve it?
Should I install anything on my blackberry?
Should I develop web applications seperately for displaying on blackberry or can I use the existing once developed using WAD and that are available on our portal?

Hi Prasad,
yes you can configure the blackberry device with the SAp platform to display reports.We do this with the help of crystal reports.The reports configuration is must to use them on your blackberry or PDAs.
The full report is not displayed in the device .So for this we need to configure the reports in parts.The are various browsers used to browse the report on the balckberries.They are mportfolios and Java and com parts viewer.There are documentation available on the SAP forum.Please get the instal;lation guide and you may configure the blackberry.

How to save webi report created using InfoView into my local PC

I am creating a Web Intelligence document using infoview and once the report is ready, i want to save it in my local PC for later refresh. How can i save that using Infoview ? I don't want to save the report in the server(repository).

After saving WebI reports to Local PC also, one can't see them COZ of .wid extension, to view them again we need WebI installed.
You can Save them to Excel or PDF or CSV to your local PC and Schedule them to get latest data as well.

How to view just Reports by one end user in OIM

How could I make just one end user to view only "Reports link" in OIM web console? When I login with xelsysadm into OIM then i can view all links in left panel. I would like to provide one end user just to view reports but not the others.

Those are probably set on the "All Users" group. You'll need to remove the default menu items all user's get and create new groups that provide what is needed to those users. You cannot remove a user from the All Users group.

Launch Interactive Viewer Webi Reports - JSP

We are trying to build a Report Dashboard which shows the reports similar to how you see in the InfoView. We have achieved most of the functionality. We have an issue where we want to open the Interactive Viewer for any Webi Reports so that the users can modify the reports... Essentially when we open these Webi Reports in InfoView, we are seeing the option to Edit, but we do not see the same option in our App... Does anybody know a way to launch the Webi Reports in the Interactive Viewer?Thanks, Rajiv 

Rajiv,Â 2 questions for you:
[1] Is this a security issue?Â The user account logging into your report viewer application - is this the same user account that you logged into InfoView with?Â The Settings for WEBI in the CMC may be different for these users - hence you see different report viewer options.
[2] Are you using openDocument.jsp in your report viewer application?

How to save WEBI report in CSV format on file system

I am trying to save a WEBI report from BO server in CSV format through java / BO SDK. Iam able to save report in html , pdf and xls format. Please provide a code snippet if available.
I know for pdf and xls we directly use doc, binary view and for html there is HTMLVIEW. But iam not able to save it using CSV OutputFormatType
