How to work left -right like a booklet in pages!? basics right....?

how do i work left to right like a brochure! I'm getting soon annoyed because this is pure basics am i blind or is this impossible in this program?

It is called Facing Pages and as AllergyDoc says is just one of over 100 features missing from Pages 5.
Use Pages '09 and tell Apple what you think of this in the App Store Comments/Reviews.

How to handle left-right navigation in visual web jsf?

I am developing a new application using visual web jsf woodstock in netbeans and components. Tab works fine for top level navigation. Is there any solution for left-right navigation? I wanted tree but each node has a link to a very new page. How can i handle left right naviagtion the same way tab does, content loads on the same page.

I don't know exactly how the tabs do it, but I suspect it is one of the following two methods. First method, all of the content of each tab is steamed in the original request and activating the tab controls just use JS/DHTML to hide some content and show the correct content. The second method would be to use AJAX style requests when the tab is activated to get the new content from the server and then JS/DHTML to show it.
If you tree is large, you will not want to use the first method. If you use the second method, consider a JSF-aware AJAX library like a4j.
On a side note, Woodstock is probably not the best choice for a new project, as it is no longer being actively developed (see [https://woodstock.dev.java.net/index.html|https://woodstock.dev.java.net/index.html]).

Apple Magic Mouse--right click not working, left-right scroll not working

Brand new out of the box, right click does not work and neither do the left-right swipe. Is it likely I have a faulty mouse, or is there a software update or setting I have failed to find? Running 10.6.4 on brand new MacBook Air. Experts--help please

I have the same issue. My magic mouse is only about a year old and i honestly don't use it that often... it seems to me the right click is not "connecting" well as i have to click several times or very hard to get it to make a clicking sound. not sure if its stiff or broken or not.
Overall I'm pretty frustrated as this thing was EXPENSIVE.
Any ideas how to fix it?

How to Set Left/right audio channel while Video playback

how can I controlling the left / right audio channel while video playback, I can't find any method or class for this in JMF, anyone that can direct me how to do it?

The way I found to control two stereo channel is to implement a plug-in Effect that will control two volumes (left/right) indipandently.
You can start from the example GainEffect from sun, and implement your control.
For eample, if you want to mute the left channel, simply set to 0 all the odd samples (or even...I don't remember exactly, try it).
You have then to add you plug in to the processor chain... again see the examples.
More complex effects (panning etc) can be done in the same way, but it seems to me that it's quite CPU intensive.

To be very specific: How do I reuse a component from one page to the other? Do I really have to add the component to each page? And what if I have several components - on a number of pages - and want to rearrange them? Do I really have to do that on each page?
Can anyone shed some over this?

I would suggest you look at the manual and example applications before you jump into developing APEX applications..
For Example, if you need a set of controls and regions for all pages in your application, you can create a page 0, and all the items from it will be inherited by your other application pages..

Bottom line - flash cant do it alone - you will still need

"why?" and how the flash player would handle

Alt shortcuts not working for alt-left/right or for é, í etc

Hi guys,
I've had this problem for a while now… Essentially, the issue lies in the alt-shortcuts for left and right where one is usualy able to 'word jump', and the creation of accented characters like é and í using the alt-e shortcut. All other alt functions appear to work fine for the moment. The alt-left/right shortcut still works when shift is held down, and highlights all the characters that have been passed over, as it should. The output for alt-e is completely blank, and the alt-left/right output is nothing, unless shift is also held.
I have a British English MacBook Air keyboard on Mountain Lion, and I have set it to that layout, and I regularly switch between this and greek for scientific formulæ. I've fiddled around with language and input settings trying to get it to work again to no avail, and there are no shortcuts programmed to that to my knowledge. I have checked on a guest account and it seems to be account specific. Ideally I'd like to keep this account without migrating everything over - does anyone have any ideas with regards to how to track down where the problem is?

Magic Mouse left right swipe not working

I got the mouse with my computer about a month ago. And suddenly, the left/right swipe has stopped working. I've wiped down the top and changed the batteries. I restarted. It doesn't seem to be working.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Take it back to Apple and get a new one, yours is still under warranty.

Here is one more example that i have modified the GetCell function so that you can use it for adding all the cells to the document. It takes several arguments to specify everything you need to create each cell. It now lets
you specify the Text, the Text Alignment, the Text Font and color, weather the cell shows the Border, the BackColor of the cell, and the Padding values for the Left, Right, Top, and Bottom.
If you study the code you should be able to figure out how it works. From here you can figure out the rest of what you need to do and how to use the
GetCell function.

How can I slide detached audio left/right in sample increments, rather than frame increments?

I exported a detached audio file from FCP X to Pro Tools for processing, and I have now imported the processed audio file back into FCP X.
I need to align the processed audio clip with the original audio clip. I am using View --> Zoom to Samples, and can see the amount I need to slide/nudge the processed clip in the Timeline. The problem is that the mis-alignment is smaller than a frame. This sounds small, but it is visually clear when you play the video/audio that the video and audio are not aligned.
Question:
How can I elect to slide the audio left/right in the timeline in increments of the audio samples, rather than in increments of video frames?
Since FCP X allows you to view the audio in Samples, it certainly must somehow let you slide/nudge the audio in Samples........I just haven't found it.

Let's be clear about one thing. There is no way on earth any human being can percieve a one frame discrepancy in sync at a frame rate of 24fps or higher. Going to increments smaller than one frame, while it can be done, makes no difference to the way the media is viewed. Presumably your viewer will not have the benefit of multiple synced waveforms as a guide.
It sounds like you have an alignment problem in ProTools. This should be a incredibly simple to fix in that application.
The problem may laos be one of sample rate difference. What are the specs of your export audio file from FCP and the specs of your imported replacement file coming from ProTools. They should line up exactly if the sample rates are identical.

Do you mean that it's being declined, that you are getting an error message, ... ?
If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
If it is a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
