How to write on new a line in "Comments"

For things such as photos and folders, if we click "Get info", we can write in an input area called Comments.
I am inputing a lot of information and I need to have paragraphs or starting on new lines to make things more tidy. How can I start writing on a new line?
If this is not allowed by the system, how should I separate the information? Should I use "," or ";" or "/" or something else?

It looks like Control + Enter once can do the job already. iW00 comment comes first in the order, although both comments have the same created time being displayed. I will choose their comment as the solution. Many thanks.
To other people with the same question, both ALT + Enter and Control + Enter can make you start at a new line.

If i simply use the following update statement in MV45AFZZ, then the first date will be updated by the new Schedule line date, which is not what i want. (Since new order always the First line "0001" will get updated)

But i still have the question, seems the user exit 'USEREXIT_CHECK_VBEP' in 'MV45AFZB' is used for addtional checks on the schedule line, my questions is how to add a new schedule line? It maybe very difficult. so is it possible to change the configurable Sales order's Finish Date for it's production order, and force it to generate a new schedule line?

How to add a New schedule line and update the order quantity?

Hi all,
I have to add a new schedule line in VA01/VA02 so that when ther is partial confirmed quantity against a schedule line, we have to create a new schdule line based on the existing so that it will contain confirmed in one and unconfirmed in the other.
The schedule line will split once the user go to Header data screen in VA01/VA02. So I used USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAK user exits in MV45AFZZ include program.
I splited the order quantity against the confirmed quantity and added it as new schedule line in the XVBEP internal table and update UPDKZ flags for XVBEP & YVBEP.
Could anyone tell me is there any other way to do this without updating XVBEP? Because it is affecting some other place because of index table is not updating. How to you think use if update xvbap-etenr_high and update index table IVBEP1 for new line insert into XVBEP instead directly inseritng it into?
My code as follows:
xvbep-WMENG = t_temp-WMENG .
modify xvbep TRANSPORTING WMENG.
t_temp1- ETENR = '0002'.
if SY-SUBRC <> 0.
t_temp1-UPDKZ = UPDKZ_NEW.

How to write data in differt line in .txt file

Hi all,
I am tring to write data on one file using utl_file,
the first cursor loop write data on first line of the file using
utl_file.put_line(..........................);
end the second cusor loop write the data on secion line of the same file using
utl_file.put_line(..........................);
file format we are given as .txt;
problem we are facing is when we open the file in notepad all the data is showing in one line...
same file if we open another tools like edit plus, word pad etc it showing the write formate( line by line)
Can any one help on this we need to set any setups in note pad????????????/

As others have said it sounds like an operating system difference.
If your Oracle is installed on a unix based server then the file will be written using Unix style newlines which are just Line Feed characters.
In Windows environments a newline is considered to be made of the Carriage Return/Line Feed character pair, not just the Line Feed.
Some applications such as MS Word or Wordpad can read Unix style linefeeds and interpret them as you expect as a Newline. However Notepad doesn't.
When you transfer the file from Unix to Windows, usually this is done using an FTP based mechanism. If you transfer the files using FTP Binary mode, then every byte of the file is transferred as it is on Unix, and the file will essentially be a unix file on a windows system. If, however, you transfer the files (from Unix to Windows) using FTP ASCII mode, then whenever FTP encounters a LineFeed character it will convert it to a Carriage Return/LineFeed pair of characters, so that the file will appear correctly in Notepad. Likewise if you transfer files from Windows to Unix in ASCII mode, then Carriage Return/LineFeed pairs of characters are converted to just a LineFeed character so that the file becomes Unix compatible. Note, you shouldn't transfer binary files in ASCII mode as it can corrupt them, it's only intented for text based files.

there will be some problem happens when we are going to upload a bulk data of say 25000 records.if its gonna update 20000 records,rest 5000 records i have to do it in next step,if this is going to happen then the first 20000 records will be displayed forever.because it have the capacity to write 20000 records.thenext 500 records will not be written.so there is a chance of redundancy.how to avoid this redundancy while running this script

if you want to write same in standard text then you just need to press enter you will get second line & you can write there.it will come in next line only..in SO10 you will get the same screen for writing as you hav in SAP script.so new line is also there.or just press enter.& yaa if you want to use outline there then for particular variables or automated data you can use outline type.so number will be generated automaticaly.for this you will get help in help.sap.

You can use the "channel" functions for this. I'm far from an expert on channel programming but I've read files line-by-line successfully by going one character at a time, looking for a carriage return.
You can open up the file channel with something like:

...then you can call F_ChannelRead iteratively to build the string in a buffer, looking for a carriage return (ASCII 13) and stopping there. (that is, ptr[0] == 13).
There might be a better way. This is just the way I've gotten it to work. It probably is not a good method for unicode files.

I have to get the info from the keyboard to draw a line on the old form of the original project. Please tell me what I should study more, the applet or the java bean. Please check if you have properly populated the following fields in POSCHEDULE:
PO_ITEM
SCHED_LINE
and the other fields required for your schedule line such as delivery date and quantity, etc.
After that, make sure to properly populate fields in POSCHEDULEX:
PO_ITEM -> same value as found in POSCHEDULE
SCHED_LINE -> same value as found in POSCHEDULE
All other values populated in POSCHEDULE should be ticked as 'X' in POSCHEDULEX.

I have a string to be written to a file. the string contains "\n" in it. But why it is not showing the new line in the file.
I have tryed FileWriter class and FileOutputStream class, but none of them works?

From your description, it seems that your resource file is a XML format file, if so, you could also have a try to use
LINQ To XML which is easy to operate the XML file to add new row to your resource file, and here is an example to show how to add a new element/row to the specific tree:
