How to zoom in/out AND resize image?

sorry if they are stupid questions but i can't seem to find how to resize and image and zoom in/out. I am using Version 3 of Photoshop Album Starter Edition.

Don't know what you want to do...
Resize the actual image file? If so, PSA SE can't really do that.
Just look at an image at different magnifications? Select image, F11 for full screen, then use CTRL/+ and CTRL/- to adjust.

How can you find out an individual image size from multiple images on a canvas

This is probably a really really simple question but I can't for the life of me find how I can find out an individual image size from multiple images on a canvas. eg I have 3 photos i want to arrange 1 large and the other two next to it half the size. How can I edit individual image size on the canvas as when I select the image on a sperate layer I want to resize it just resizes the entire canvas and not the individual image

I want to know they exact dimensions though. You can get them by dragging to the 0,0 corner and then reading off of the ruler scale on the sides but its fiddily as you have to zoom right in and work it out. I know in photoshop there is a ruler but is there any other way in Elements?

Upload and Resize Image not inserting filename in database

I have a form that I created using the insert record form wizard. One of the fields is a file field and my form enctype is set to multipart/form-data. I then used the upload and resize image behavior and set the parameters. When testing the form the file uploads to the correct directory but no entry is made into the database for that particular field. The other fields are entered into the database just fine. If it helps, here is the code generated before the tag:

If the reason is about memory, warning message should be happened when upload the image, because "show thumbnail" means resize at second time, how come you failed to resize the picture that system let it upload succeed at the first time by the same resize process?
upload procedure
a.jpg: 2722x1814, 1.2mb
upload condition: fixed width 330px, 1.5mb
"upload and resize" a.jpg -> file upload -> "resize engine" -> passed (but not work and no warning message)
"show thumbnail" a.jpg -> "resize engine" -> failed (not enough memory)

and you miss an important key point, I upload the same picture myself, and resize work, so I said it happened at random, and that's why I am so worried.

Double tap with THREE fingers to turn zoom off. Then go into Settings>General>Accessibility and turn it off for good.

Sound like a trackpad problem and not an iPhoto one. Have you asked in the forum dedicated to the Mac model you're using or is this an add on trackpad?

How to export an album and keep images in the same order in elements 11 mac

I made an album of my trip to Australia (lots of pictures) and changed the order of the images (not the same as shooting order) and when I export the images in the album to a folder or memorystick, the images are copied to that place but I lost the album order of the images.
How can I prevent that, without having to renumber al 500 images separatly?

The order in album is only kept in the organizer database, so the only way not to lose that order is to rename files.
If you are using the 'export' function, select your album in custom order, select all photos and in the dialog, choose to rename with a common base name.

But, I cannot close the update window showing it was completed and the blue completion bar is full but cannot cancel or close it either. Any ideas on how to clear that out and close the window. Tried to quit on both the big window and the software update title in the menu bar. No luck.

Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!

I need to activate Adobe Creative Suite on a second computer, but a window comes up saying that I already have installed Creative Suite on a maximumo of 2 computers. I know that I can only download on 2 computers, but I have no idea where I downloaded it the second time. I need to find that device and deactivate it so that I can use my real 2nd computer.
So, how do I find out and manage which devices I installed Adobe Creative Suite on?
And if I deactivate it, can I activate my 2nd computer?

It is three fingers, not two. From the Users Guide:

How to transfer both original and modified images to another computer?

I've been trying to figure out if there is a way to copy items between iPhoto libraries in two different computers.
Basically I've got a desktop mac and all my digial images are sorted in the iPhoto library there. This is where I want to keep them as the disk is a NFS-mounted RAID-array adding a bit more security.
Now I've got a macbook pro as a travelling companion. To avoid a huge project later in sorting and editing the pictures, I'd like to do that in pieces while abroad. So I'll edit the pictures already in the macbook and also would like to sort out what stuff to publish by creating albums containing the best pictures.
But how to preserve all that when coming back home? How do I export the stuff from the macbook so that it preserves both the original and modified image and also any comments I've added? And then how to import all this to the mac mini? When I'm at home, both the computers can access the same NFS server so transferring the data is not a problem.
I can of course export the pictures to a folder, copy that folder to the shared disk and then import in the mac mini. But export seems to export only the modified image so I'll lose that if doing it that way. If I just copy the files to the modified/original -folders in the mac mini, the index files of the mac mini lack the information about the new pictures as they were not properly imported.
Is there any way to do this? I can't just copy all the stuff including index files as then I'd lose track on the 10000+ pictures already in the iPhoto library of the mac mini.

It seems to be a little buggy. My first test import seemed to be ok but it didn't copy any of the modified pictures. It seemed to put some originals to the modified folder but not the real, modified ones. Second try seemed to work, though.
Anyway, this seems to be what I've been looking for.

Quickest way? If using Photoshop CC: Click the Crop Tool. Hover your mouse a little outside one of the corners of your image. Click and drag in the appropriate direction. You can also use the "straighten" option on the option bar to, say, draw a line where it needs to be horizontal (or vertical).

Where can I find a SIMPLE program to layer and resize images on my Air?

I've downloaded the GIMP & looked at Seashore, Inkscape, Sketchbook, and Paintbrush. All I want to do is resize images (paintings and drawings, not photos), sharpen the contrast in some of them, and MAYBE layer floral drawings over some text background--the programs I mention having looked at/tried seem far too complex for what I want to do, and I just get lost trying to figure them out (and reading the user manuals!).

Is this an older "round" version of the AirPort Extreme? If yes, it is true that AirPort Utility 6.x no longer supports the older AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express models.
A model number......located on the bottom of the Extreme or on the side of the Express would be helpful to confirm what you have.
Apple probably does want you to buy a new AirPort Extreme.
The workaround might be to use a Mac or PC running a 5.x version of AirPort Utility.
A more complicated workaround would be to install AirPort Utility 5.6 on Mountain Lion. This is not supported by Apple......it does work for me.....but may not work for you. See this article for more details:
