How tochange the Update mode of a extractor in LBWE through a transport

Hello Friends,
I have a question on changing the update mode of the extration in LBWE. Can we change this in Dev system and transport it all the way to production. The client is not happy with openeing the client for this. I appreciate the immediate response.

Hi,
On the menu bar in the screen when you create the request, you'll see a button next to the delete button that lets you include objects in the request. Click that and you'll get the option to add objects from a request or multiple requests or freely selected objects.
Or you can goto the Request/Task->Object list->Include objects.
The other way you can do this is in the LBWE screen, click on the active/inactive button next to the extract structure and it'll also prompt you for a customizing request. If its active when you click the button it'll go inactive and prompt for a transport. Once saved in the transport, click on the inactive button to activate it again. It'll get saved in the same transport.

I recently changed the update mode for Inventory Controlling from Unserialized V3 Update to Queued delta in R/3 DEV environment. When I was doing the change it did not prompt for a transport request. Now I have to somehow capture this in a transport and move it to R/3 Quality environment. How do I capture this change in a transport.

there are 2 options
1) try changing back and forth and see if it prompts for a request
2) Create a customizing request and add the following entry into the request
Program ID - R3TR; Object type - TABU; Object name - TMCEXUPD
and make the entry ...How ?? Click on the key that you see under the column 'Function'
client/application component.. if client is 100 and application component is 11
then the table entry should be 10011

How to identify update mode in function module for generic extractor

Hi All,
I have created generic extractor using function module which supports delta load.
Delta logic is handeled in coding...by using ROOSGENDLM table.
Now problem is we need to identify the update mode, requested from infopackage in our function module in order to apply logic for Repair full.
I would like to know table or parameter in source system, which contain the update mode (Init , Delta , Full).

You can use the FM import parameter "i_updmode" (This is of type "SBIWA_S_INTERFACE-UPDMODE") to determine if infopackage triggerred in full or delta mode.

How to set Update Mode for DSO in BI7.0?

As you know in bw3.5, in update rules we can set the update mode for ods as Additive or overwrite functionality.
But can anybody tell me where are these settings in bi7.0? or

GO to the tramsformations of your DSO..
In the Rule Group..Click on any key Figure..
this pops u a window..in which u will find AGGREGATION ..Then u can select Either OVERWRITe or SUMMATION which suites ur requirement..

                We have set Unserialized V3 update mode in R/3 production for 2lis_03_bf.
                We are getting '0' records while running delta.
                Now can we change the update mode to queued delta and run and for that what are the precautionary steps to be done.And will be the effect if we done like that happen.

The diffrence between these 2 update modes are
Queued Delta:With this update mode, the extraction data is collected for the affected application instead of being collected in an extraction queue, and can be transferred as usual with the V3 update by means of an updating collective run into the BW delta queue. In doing so, up to 10000 delta extractions of documents for an LUW are compressed for each DataSource into the BW delta queue, depending on the application.
unserialized V3:With this update mode, the extraction data for the application considered is written as before into the update tables with the help of a V3 update module. They are kept there as long as the data is selected through an updating collective run and are processed. However, in contrast to the current default settings (serialized V3 update), the data in the updating collective run are thereby read without regard to sequence from the update tables and are transferred to the BW delta queue.

WHAT AN ANNOYING WAY TO DO BUSINESS IN ASKING A QUESTION.
Just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and am checking on updates. So they have this update for Safari, but NO WHERE does it show how large the update is like they USED to do in Snow Leopard. WHY?

I am pretty sure that you can't install CC 2014 on 10.6.8.
She could open the CC app with Spotlight (Command + Space, then type in "Cloud") but since she's on Snow Leopard (10.6.8) she won't see CC 2014 in her list of installable versions.

How does the Updated by Field Work....

Can anyone help on how the *Updated By* field values are populated, specially when the values are updated through a Workflow.
I read the following in the MDM Documentation.
If trigger action is Record Add, Record Update, or Record Import for a workflow. The [System] is the creator and launcher of the job but is not a real user.
This is even true if the Owner of the workflow is the Admin.
After our server migration was done, instead of showing [System] as the Updated By it now shows the Admin.
What could be the reason for this. Do i need to contact SAP or is there something that needs to be done at the respository level to get the Updated By field to work as expected.

When we don't have any User of repository with name System, there is no point it will show you user System for field Updated by.
Query 1: Can you please confirm, do you have this User "system" available in your repository under node admin-->Users in MDM console ?
Query 2: Also, After our server migration was done, instead of showing System as the Updated By it now shows the Admin.
I seriously have doubt on this. Can you please check do you have really user System for existing records too? I mean you can do Free-form search for field Updated by with value system. Changing the Updatable property of a View Object Attribute through code

Is there a way to set the "Updatable" property of an attribute in a view object through code ?
I checked the API docs for the AttributeDef class but there is no method to set this. there is a constant (UPDATEABLE_WHILE_NEW) which gives the current value.
My requirements in short - I have a ADF editable Table. Based on a flag whether it is SET or NOT, i need to make a particular column such that the inputTextBox on this column must appear for only the new rows inserted into the table. For all the existing rows users should not be allowed to edit values on this column.
I know this can be controlled with the UPDATABLE property on the attribute in the view object by setting the value as "WHILE NEW".
Now i need to control this through code at runtime.
Please let me know on ow to do this.

the method you are looking for is available in the AttributeDefImpl class which you can get from the EntityImpl like
this.mDefinitionObject.getAttributeDefImpl("YOUR_ATTRIBUTE_NAME").setUpdateableFlag(AttributeDef.UPDATEABLE_WHILE_NEW);

TS1702 My Pages app is stuck in the update mode

My Pages app is stuck. It is trying to do an update, but is stuck. Tap on the app icon and it says it is unable to download the app (update). I don't know how to get the app restored. The iTunes index in the help just gives me about 96 options. HELP! Thx
I have tried all the usual things such as a restart. Can I just delete it and reload without haveing to go thru the hastle of not having to pay for the app a second time?
I have done all system and app updates on a regular basis.

Hello, try this...
First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
Reboot & test.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
