I use 11.5.8 on 8.1.7. I shutdown my database with immediate option then re-start it , I get such error message
Database startup fails
ORA-01109: database not open
ORA-00314: log 2 of thread 1, expected sequence# 1739 doesn't match 1737
ORA-00312: online log 2 thread 1: '/ora/TEST/oracle/testdata/log02b.dbf'

I check such error on metalink and find there is a solution to solve this problem by importing backup data but I don't have any 11i bata backup at all. I wonder what is the right way to cure my pain and how to perform it step by step.

To update the application, you have to sign in to the Apple ID that it was purchased under. If you purchased it with a friend's ID for example, you would need to sign in to their account so you can update the app.

If you update using iTunes the phone is first wiped clean, then the new OS is installed, and finally the backup is restored. After this finishes if you sync your music should be restored. Music is not in the backup, because it is already on your computer and duplicating it would use up a lot of hard disk space.
An OTA update just patches what has changed; it does not disturb content.

Elements 2.0 is an old version. The message may be due to the fact that your new HD is much bigger than your older one, and not due to the classical reasons:

The Submit button does nothing. How can this problem be corrected?

I have seen numerous postings stating that a Submit button on an XFA form will not work. I believe this may be a widespread problem.
The symptoms are as follows:
1. The form is a Designer form (sometimes referred to as an "XFA form") that contains either an HTTP Submit or an Email Submit button.
2. The Submit button works fine if the user has Adobe Professional (bundle of products incluting Acrobat and LifeCycle Designer) installed.
3. The Submit button does not work if the user only has the Adobe Reader installed.
Our users first reported this problem in October, and we have been attempting to determine what changed in our system to make this happen.
The forms were created using Designer version 9.
On Windows 7 and Windows XP test PCs we have tried various versions of the Reader X and get the same results with all of them.
We primarily use Internet Explorer as a browser.
I will admit that I have not read all of the release notes for all versions of Reader X. And I am not even sure if this is a Reader problem.
Please let me know if you are having this problem, and, if you have any thoughts on how to solve it I would very much like to hear from you.

Since this is a Designer form it may be worth posting in the LiveCycle Designer forum http://forums.adobe.com/community/livecycle/livecycle_modules_and_development_tools/livecy cle_designer_es. What works with Reader versus what works only with Acrobat is not only complicated, but it's different for Designer forms. We have very limited experienced people here for Designer forms, Acrobat forms is our thing.
However, I'm quite sure it isn't broken. The many limitations are by design, to sell more stuff.

Can't turn off backlight keyboard in XP How long this problem will live?

I'm using MBP 15" 2.66Ghz (late 2008 model)
My Windows XP SP3 with Bootcamp 3.0 most of the things work well except backlight keyboard, I tried to press F5 to reduce backlight to minimun but backlight still there so annoying me even more every times I boot into Windows XP backlight will reset itself to maximum amount of light. ==" Anyone got an ideal how to solve or just waiting for Apple engineer to fix it but when I've seen this problem long long time ago.... Srry for my bad english.

Finally figured it out. In case anyone else has the same problem of your computer ignoring changes in the Face Tracking Utility screen, try this:
Go to Webcam Center. Click on "Capture" then the "Source" tab, one of two discrete grey tabs just above the video screen.
Under "Extended Settings" you have the options for face tracking: off, continuous or smart. Click it and your computer should actually hold onto this setting until you change it again!

I would imagine that at school, you're required to connect through an HTTP proxy.
From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. Enter the proxy settings given to you by the network administrator. Click OK and then Apply.
You may wish to create separate network locations for home and school. See the built-in help for instructions.

I have just bought a used iPhone 3GS How can this problem be fixed?

This can't happen unless there are apps on the iPhone that were downloaded by the previous owner's iTunes account.
You need to restore the iPhone as a new iPhone and start from there.

Since downloading Firefox 5 last week, we cannot access the internet. The message "server not found" pops up along with the statement "firefox can't find the server at (whatever webpage you enter). How can this problem be fixed..other browsers stink.

This problem can be solved in seconds with just 8 or 10 clicks of your mouse. As you are reading this you are already in Internet explorer. At the top left hand side of your screen you should see the below words.
File Edit View Favourites Tools Help
If you can't see the above words then right click on any blank area on the third bar from the top of your screen and click on menu bar
Now click on Tools then click on Internet Options. Then click on the Advanced tab at the top right hand side of that page. Now click on the Reset button near the bottom right hand side. Now close and then re-open your Internet explorer.

Why is switching over multiple tabs in Firefox so slow? how solve this problem please

My problem is just the slow switching over multiple tabs in Firefox. Each time I go to another tab it takes a while (sluggish), or you can say the ‘click’ on the tab takes time to happen. The rest Firefox is working perfect in speed.
Don’t know how to solve it, followed all the steps on the MakeUseOf Firefox Speed Up Guide, still having same problem.

Hi all. I'm stuck on this one problem at my school... Yes, its for school, i'll admit it. Heh.
Here is the problem:
"Write an applet that displays a line graph that plots temperature changes for eight days. Create a TextField and Label for each of the eight temperatures that the user enters. Use a prompt above the TextFields telling the user to enter temperatures and to press the Enter key in the eighth TextField when finished. When the user presses the enter key in the last TextField, displays the graph.
To create a graph, drawa horizizontol baseline on the screen with the days numbered one degree of temperature, draw lines from point to point above the horizontol baseline reflecting the temperature changes from day to say."
Right now I have to go too another class. Tommorow I'll try it out again from scratch. But so far, all I've been getting is tons of errors, so I am going to start over. Can someone help me out here? What do I use? drawString() ? How would I use that effiecantly?
I also have another problem that is alike. "Write an applet that displays a horizontal bar chat for company bloood drive. The user enters a number of pints of bloods donated by employees in each of five departments. There should be a TextField and Label for each department donor court. When the user presses the enter key in the last textfield, displays the chart. Create a vertical baseline; then create one horizontal line for each department."
This one I think would be close to the first one. I'm guessing if someone helps me with one of them I could do the other. I'm not positive how this would work though. I think there is more then just drawString? I'm not sure how it would work efficantly, and how when I hit enter in the last textfield, it would do it and display it.. I'm guessing using a paint() as well?

It SHOULD work. But it doesnt display the lines when you click the button. Is there any way to do it? Like hitting the enter key?

I have a ETL process that runs on weekly basis which read data froma flat file to an external table.In this process i have defined log file and bad file too, to keep a track of the data transformation
A file has 1000 records that has to be uploaded into a table. After uploading 700 records, process breakdown, now ODI needs to re start upload from the breaking point i.e. upload should start from 701th record.
How i can i roll back this process.
here i am using the sql loader for uploading....

Since 28th December I can't install new apps and can't update my newspaper. How can this problem be solved?

I can't update my newspaper "Welt HD", nor can I install new apps from the app store.
When I try to install an app, only new Icon shows up and is showing "waiting" forever. When I tried to update my newspaper, it only shows "loading" forever.
When my iPad connects to the W-LAN, for a sudden I have IP Traffic in downstream. When I turn off my iPad, the traffic goes away.
I tried to turn off and reset my iPad several times with no result.
