How tro Keep Video Podcast Until I Want to Delete It?

I once had my podcast set to delete after I watched the episode, but I now have a video podcast on my 3d gen Nano and other podcasts that I do not want to be removed until I do it manually. I don't remember how I set this up originally, and would appreciate any help in telling me how to automatically download new episodes but keep them (even after they'be been watched) until I decide to delete them myself. Thanks!

If the podcast doesn't appear in iTunes, is there another place where it can be seen in order to delete it? I'm having the same problem with my iPod Touch. I don't see the podcast in either the left drop-down list or in the list under the podcast tab where you can sync selected items (but I do see more recently downloaded podcasts in both locations and I can delete them). The podcast I want to delete is still on my iPod, but that's the only place where I can see it.

If I move a podcast to a playlist I've created on a certain subject, and then delete it from the podcast section of the library, it disappears from the playlist, as well. How can I move podcasts to a playlist and keep them, and at the same time delete them from the podcast library list?

Playlists are just links to songs, videos or podcasts that are in your iTunes library. If you delete something from the library it can't be in a playlist. You can have something in the library but not in a playlist but you can't have something in a playlist that isn't in the library.

How Well Will Video Podcasting Work?

How well will video podcasting work on a Mac Mini, an iBok, and a PowerBook? I'm going to get a Mac (no doubts here) and I want to do some podcasting (preferably video podcasting) and i was wondering which to get I don't doubt that all of them could do it exceptionally well. I was just wondering if I could do it well with the Mac Mini or iBook, but I could get the PowerBook but I would have to wait about an extra month to get it (money reasons). Almost forgot to mention I've done video podcasting with a friend to help him test it out and it went well, so I thought i would do it too when i get my Mac, but I was wondering ehich would be best.

Settings > Mail.... > Your account > Advanced > Delete from server > Never.
However, this will risk re-downloading as new mail
IMAC accounts mirror what's on the phone in the server, so deleting from the inbox on the phone will either send it to the trans folder on the server or leave it in the inbox but marked as deleted (depending on the server)

Yes. How you configure podcasts to sync to one device (from under each iPod's Podcasts configuration tab in iTunes) will not affect how the configuration settings of the other.

ok, so i click on the video podcast in itunes and it opens in a new screen,
i want to know if there is anyway to always keep that new video podcast screen always on top of mys desktop.
i usually have at least 5 or more apps open and i am going between them all the time,
i'd love to be able to keep a video podcast always on top in one corner...

How do I convert a video podcast and keep it still a podcast? I can convert it with iTunes but it becomes a movie, not a podcast. I thought I new how to do this, but I forgot.

The coverflow art equals the album coverart. That art MUST be embedded to show. It doesn't matter if you are actually listed in the iTunes store or not. Now the picture that shows in the store along with website info, customer reviews, etc. is pulled from the iTunes image tags (<itunes:image href="http://yourpictureURL.jpg" /> within your podcast xml file.

BTW when a picture is embedded (whether using iTunes to embed or something else), the actual image, NOT a link to the image is "built into" the file whether mp3 audio or m4v video. I did extensive tests embedding a 50k picture and saw the file's size increase substantially, though not exactly matching the photo size.
Embedding solved my video coverflow picture issue too. Changing/uploading a new image to your server will NOT change the picture shown in album coverart. Thus your "channel" can have a changeable image (the one in the iTunes tag) but each episode can have its own logo/album art.

Well Im trying to make a video in iMovies and want it the same size as the video in my Photos like the shape of the iphone screen not like a normal video on youtube. please could anyone help? iMovies is just saving it as a little sqaure and cutting the top and bottom off and just keeping the middle, I know im not explaining it very good but i dont have any other way to put it. Don't shoot tall video.
iMovie edits in standard widescreen format, as does You Tube.
There are other apps that can edit 'tall' video.
iMovie assumes you will one day want to play on a TV or publish on the web; in both cases you really need to shoot wide.

How to prevent video podcast downloads

Hi, I have a first generation iPod nano and so can't play video. Some of the podcasts I subscribe to sometimes have a video download instead of audio. Is there any way to prevent iTunes from downloading these video podcasts?

Currently Firefox for Android does this by default with embedded players. Some sites go automatically to full screen too which may be what you are running into. Try it.

How do I unlink objects that I want to delete?

If I want to delete video that I used in a project and it is linked to other stuff in the project--How do I delete the video without deleting the other things that it is linked to? Or how do I unlink them?
A warning comes up that reads;
+One or more objects that use this media will also be deleted. Are you sure you want to delete the media used for these objects?+

I didn't understand it either. I was just going through and trying a bunch of things until I was able to delete the media and not the replace clip.
I've been back through this a couple of times, and I've discovered the procedure, but again, I'm not clear why it works this way. To be honest, you're better off building a workflow like Certified mentioned. Templates are the way to go here. But in case you've already put yourself in this position, you'll need a way out before you can move on. In that case, this should be a useful workaround.
Add Replace 1 to Canvas. Change to Drop Zone. Drag "Video 1" over drop zone to add. In the Image Tab of the Inspector, click the Clear button to remove the video from the drop zone.
In the Media Tab, select the clip and hit delete. You'll get the message which will show all the additional media that will be deleted also. Hit delete again. Everything will go away.
Hit CMD+Z to undo. Hit Delete again. Now only the video shows up in the warning message. Click the Delete button and the video goes away and everything else stays.

GREAT! Many thanks! Sometimes solutions may be so simple.
For all others who have the same problem a bit more in detail:
In your FM just enter as exception: CX_BO_ACTION_CANCELLED and mark 'Exceptn. Classes'.
Declare your class method with the exception cx_bo_action_cancelled.
In your class method just enter your FM via the 'Pattern'-Button.
The Pattern will show only the Import- and Export-Parameters but not the exception (class).
