I have an imac and now I have a new macbook pro 15". Is there an easy way to have my macbook pro behave like a disk drive hooked up to my imac so I can drag and drop files from my macbook pro to my imac?

Other way is u can use X as a reference object of Y so that both of them have same structure and both objects will share common database tables in BW which are exsting for X.

Here are the questions:
i) How can i send a file from one client to another client using RMI?
ii) Does the client(sender) need to send the file to server, then server save it and then send it to another client(receiver)?
iii) If using RMI, a client can receive two files from same client(sender) or different client(sender) at a same time? how to do it? when both of the files come in from same port, how to differenciate them?
iv) For your information, i am doing the File Transfer Server-client application which sender can send any file to other client. Can you give me any ideas? thanks..

Your questions reflect some ambiguity in terms.
"Client" and "server" are commonly used in two different senses:
1. Technical sense: A client process makes requests, and a server process fulfills the request (provides a service).
2. IT sense: A client computer (process) makes requests of a server (computer) process, and the server (computer) processes the request.
In the first case, any computer might be a client, or a server, or both, depending on the processes being executed. In the second case, the computers are assigned some role.
So: If you wanted to, you could implement client/server processes communicating between two peer computers, using RMI.
This may not be what you wanted; if you really want to distinguish client and server computers, then the answer is that yes, you will probably put files into intermediate storage on the server computer.
Finally, you probably do not have to worry about port conflicts if you use RMI; while the initial client server contact is established through a registry operating on a standard port, the actual RMI communications is established using random ports, one for each link.

To have same library on both of your authorized machines, you need first locate, on both of them, the iTunes Media Folder location (Preferences > Advanced) then you need make them syncronized. How to do this, will exists some tools, I will not go further about that stuff, you can google them... back to topic:
After you do any change to the files content of one library, you can just drag and drop the media folder on iTunes, it will rescan the library itself and update all changes you made.
Be aware if your machines are authorized on multiple accounts, you need be logged on store with the account used to purchase any drm-enabled song you want to listen.

I have a project that I created on my home computer (iMac), but need to transfer to my computer at work (Mac Pro). I saved all of the project files onto my external hard drive to transfer, but when I save them onto my computer at work and try to open the files, iMovie won't read it. I can't drag it in and I can't import it because it is grayed out. I would like to be able to edit this file on this computer, but how??

I've done this. You'll need an external hard drive. See iMovie help "Copying or moving a project to an external hard disk". Once it's copied, connect the hard drive to your work computer and edit away. As far as copying to your work computer, I'm not sure how that is done. Good luck.

Using a wired network would be faster.
Faster file transfer would be to boot the source of the files in target ddisk mode and connect the two Macs together by FireWire.

Teleport is the App you want to use, but you will want to contact Teleport's support for assistance on this, since the issue comes from this software. You can also use Synergy, though I haven't used either.

If they are synced photos just copy the folders with the photos to the new computer. Synced photos are not associated with iTunes or the iTunes library.
