How use video generator ni5431 with visual c++

i use a ni5431 video generator with visual c++.
i generate a ccir signal and i want to modify attributes IMAGE_TOP, IMAGE_HEIGHT and IMAGE_WIDTH. When i change one of these attribute with VDG_SetAttribute(****,int) i can't obtain a signal.
Thank you for your help.

Proably the reason this question has gone so long without an answer is that the Vision forum only covers our NI Image Acquisition hardware (along with all NI Vision software), and not our signal generator hardware. That hardware is covered in the Signal Sources forum under the Measurment Hardware section, which is serviced by a different set of Enthusiasts and experts. If you ask your questions there, you should get a quick response.

    Hi ClassicalGuitar,
The forum supports VS setup and installation. And your issue is not about the forum. I will move the thread to off-topic forum. Thanks for your understanding.

This has happened on several computers. I can download using video download helper with on problems until I attempt to download "Dishonorable Disclosures" on You Tube once a download attempt is made on that video download helper stops working for that video or any other video. Could this be a virus or malware? How do I fix download helper after this happens?

  • How can we generate javadocs with Jdev3

    Hello,
I'm using JDeveloper3 to create some javabeans. I don't know how I can generate javadocs from JDeveloper3 with JDK1.2.2
    Nicolas

With this information I don't think, that the 7334 is the right board for your application. The 7334 is a motion control board for stepper motors. As control signals it provides a step signal with variable frequency and a direction signal (high or low for fwd. or rev. direction). The step signal is generated onboard and controls the motor's trajectory (acceleration, velocity, travel distance). The duty cycle of this signal can't be changed by the control program, so this signal can't be used for your application.
The PWM outputs provided by the 7334 is static. That means, you can set frequency and duty cycle only in software, which is quite slow and introduces significant and non-deterministic jitter (due to the asynchronous communication to the 7334 this is even true if you are using a real-time operating system). These limitations don't seem to meet your requirements.
I still don't have a good idea about your timing requirements. If your response times requirments are in the upper milisecond regions (10 ms and above), you might be able to use the 7334. If low jitter and fast response times are important to your application, there are several alternative solutions including LabVIEW Real-Time with a multifunction data acquisition board and LabVIEW FPGA with an R-Series board.

  • Correct use of LabVIEW 8 with Visual Source Safe

I have LabVIEW 8.0 and Microsoft Visual Source Safe 6 (VSS) installed and was looking for help with the correct way to integrate the two environments.  This will be used in a team environment and code modules will be shared between team members.  I have used and understand the new project manager with it's virtual directory structure.  I have also used and understand VSS and its abilities to share and branch vis or project folders.
When you share an item in VSS, the vi is available for use in both projects and physically resides in both projects within your working directory.  If I were just using VSS, this is the method I would use (and what is recommended in the VSS documentation).  This way an entire project contains all the files and can be retrieved all at once.
When you use the LabVIEW 8 project manager, it appears that the intent is to only have the code in one location and share it through virtual folders.  This makes sense and works fine until LabVIEW 8 and VSS are both used.  LabVIEW 8 can handle check in/out and adding files to VSS.  A LabVIEW project can even use vis that belong to other LabVIEW projects and other VSS projects.
My concern with all this is what happens when a team member wants to bring down code to their working directory or rebuilding my own working directory.  LabVIEW's project manager does not appear to provide a direct view to the VSS database.  I can go into VSS and pull down a LabVIEW project file (lvproj file only) and open it up.  All appears to be fine and all VSS information is intact.  What is not there is any indication of which files actually exist in my working directory or any way to perform a "bulk" retrieval of all the files required in my project.  If all the files reside in a virtual directory, I don't even know where to go get them from.  One solution could be to follow the VSS style and ensure everything is native to a project or at least shared with a project (within VSS).  This may be cumbersome and would not follow the LabVIEW project philosophy.  I may also miss something since LabVIEW "remembers" where stuff is for you.  Following the LabVIEW project method could make it difficult to bring a project back to life and also has the potential to leave some vis out of source code control (sub vis don't have to belong to a LabVIEW project).
Does anyone have thoughts on this subject?  What is the most efficient way to ensure that all project items are in source code control and that all projects are retrievable and functional?
    Thanks,
    Greg Cloutier

    Greg,
I'm not a VSS guru but I do know that currently there is no automatic functionality for checking in\out a project and all associated files from LabVIEW.
As for finding the location of the vis that have been checked out, LabVIEW can display the full path of a vi from the project explorer. If you right click on a vi and then select properties, the General category will show the full path.
There are a number of papers that do relate to using SCC with LabVIEW 8. check out Using Source Control Software with LabVIEW and that will link you to other documents as well.

  • How to test a generated report in my application by using web test written with Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate

    Hello,
My application generates report in different formats, such as: Adobe, Excel, XML, CSV and HTML
I have a webtest that makes all preparations, then generates a report.
In my application I have an option either to save the new generated report or open it.
When I try to open the new report, the web test doesn't see it and therefore not allows me to test it.
Please refer me to knowledge base or let me know how to resolve this type of issues.
    Thanks.
    qatm

    Hi qatm,
Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
Since this web performance test is used to verify the Http request/respond work correctly in VS, and the browser session is then displayed as a list of URLs in the Web Performance Test Editor.
However, as you said that you want to test a generated report in my application by using web performance test in VS2012 Ultimate. If the report is not as the Http format, so I think that it is not possible to test a generated report by using web performance
    test.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • How to use JAXB generated classes with SOAP

    hello,
I have a library of JAXB generated classes for my web service. There is a Java class for each web method defined in my schema. For example, my getLocation method is mapped to GetLocation.class.
However my web service is SOAP based, so I am having to manually strip off the SOAP elements to be able to unmarshall the getLocation xml to a GetLocation class.
I am noticing a disconnect between JAXB and other Java SOAP and RPC libraries. Does anyone know how to create a JAXB class for SOAP Envelopes and Bodys? Does anyone have any ideas how to incorporate the existing Java web service libraries with JAXB?
    Thanks in advance.

Have you found a method to integrate SAAJ and JAXB? Or
is better to use SAAJ only ?If I had to choose I'd go with SAAJ. It seems to me that's theoretically possible to use JAXB classes with SAAJ but I imagine if it is possible it would be a big pain in the ass.

  • How can I generate tones with usb 6008 using analog out?... tia sal2

    Greetings All
I've been looking at the example Sim Phone.vi that comes with labview and would like to generate similar tones out of our usb 6008 device. I can get a very faint sound out of our usb 6008 using the example Gen Multi Volt Updates-SW Timed.vi Does anyone know the best way to alter Sim Phone.vi to have the sound come out of the Analog output of our usb 6008 device. ( I have a small speaker connected to the Analog out on our USB 6008)
PS: we are using labview 7.1
Does anyone know the Analog output frequency range of the usb-6008? Is this possible?
    TIA
    Attachments:
    Gen Mult Volt Updates-SW Timed.vi ‏78 KB

    Hi sal2,
As stated earlier you could most certainly use the USB device to generate sound, but that would be at a max update rate of 150 Hz. While according to Nyquist theorem you could get frequency information for signals below 75 Hz, you may notice that the quality of the data in that spectrum to be very low due to having so few samples.
While technically possible to produce you really should look for a device with a faster Analog Output update rate. I would look for a device that supports Analog Output at least 10x the maximum frequency that you want the user to hear. Some great, yet lower cost products, would be the M-Series line of products. They would give you the performance that is really needed in the type of application that you are talking about.
If you still want to use the USB Device, then you would need to use code similar to that found in the example Gen Mult Volt Updates-SW Timed (Found here: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\examples\daqmxbase\Dynamic\ao).
Best of luck getting your system together,

  • Using Crystal Reports XI with Visual studio 2008 C#

    Hi,
I am trying to add some reports which have been created to a C# web application using the Crystal Reports web viewer in Visual Studio 2008. The reports use SQL authentication instead of integrated authentication.
Everytime the page with the report viewer is loaded, im prompted for my logon details. I dont want the end users to be doing this. How do i integrate the logon details into my application so that it doesnt keep prompting using C#?? Also i have parameters which produce a drop down box of available values...this does not work within the web application but does in Crystal Reports.
Any help would be good with examples in C# please. Ideally i would like to hold the connection info in the web.config however i dont know if this is possible.
    Thanks
    Vish

    Hi Vishal,
Here's a link to the platforms for SP5:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/907e6412-a7ac-2b10-23a8-f837fcc78a37
If the link doesn't work then go to this one: Articles
And select the the CR version and look for the specific patch level. If you don't have patches installed I would suggest downloading and installing to get up to SP5.
It does not indicate .NET 2008 so it's not been tested, it may work but if you run into any issues we don't have an escalation path to get it fixed.
    Thank you
    Don

  • How do I generate URL with multiple variables from input fields?

I'm creating an ad with four input text fields labels fname, lname, city and prov, and I wanted to know how to generate URLs based on information entered into the fields. The text fields default to display "First Name," "Last Name," "City" and "State," respectively, but if a user does not enter information in those fields, I want the URL to behave as if those were empty, if that makes sense. The text fields are in a movie clip called "input_text" and the button is labeled "send". If any of you can provide insight, I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you.

    1. use if-statements to see if the text properties of your textfields meets your requirements for creating that url.
    2. you can use the flash string methods and properties to create your url.
p.s.  the plus sign + can be used to concatenate strings.
