How Warehouse Activity Monitor LL01 Report is Running in background?

Hi Gurus,
I am Working in IMWM are & giving support. Client is facing problem with this Report, as this report is not running frequently as per scheduled in Configuration settings. for e.g after 4 hrs or after 12 hrs or 1 week etc.
Does any body know how this program is running in background?
Do I need to create any Batch Job for this?
As per our developer no need of Batch job, it has to run automatically. So if anybody know this, please let me know ASAP. We need to submit solution to client.

Hi,
Maybe I'm mistaken but I can't see any sense of running LL01 as background job. I think users have to run the report themselves, and it is possible to refresh it in the report itself or by running it again.
Please check (run) the transaction in SAP and check SAP online help:

The functions of the warehouse activity monitor are intended to assist warehouse administrators to oversee, plan and optimize work processes in the warehouse.
This report requires users' interaction so, I can't understand what you want to achieve.

LL01 is basically used to see the outstanding TR,TO's & PCN to be processed.Also it gives report of open deliveries ,stock in interim storage areas.Please check following document for the same.

Hi,
You can schedule different jobs with same program name.
Use ENQUEUE_ & DEQUEUE_ to lock/unlock the records being process. The lock objects can be created in SE11.

as far as i know:
the warehouse monitor is useful for several reasons:
-Not all warehousing processes are carried out in the system without errors.
-Errors are often not recognized until sometime after they have occurred.
-The search for the cause of an error and correcting it can be time consuming.
orders to move stock in the warehouse should always be processed within a reasonable time period. one of the key features of the warehouse monitoring task is the checking of timely processing of transfer orders in WM.

If you wnat to see the applications that are running, open the Activity Monitor application (it's in /Applications/Utilities). After opening it, select "All Processes" above "Show" in the toolbar, and you will see all the processes that are running.
I/O errors often happen on a damaged hard drive. If you are receiving that error, you should make a backup with Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner as soon as possible and take your Mac to an Apple Store or reseller to get another hard disk.
If the warranty is void, you can try installing it yourself, but note that there are some iMacs which are very difficult to have the hard drive replaced. Search the steps in iFixit > http://www.ifixit.com

Schedule a report to run in background

I have a report that has a selection screen .
When i schedule this report as a background job , it is cancelled : "cannot perform frontend function in batch input mode " ??
I created a variant and in the job step specified the variant name ...!! would appreciate if anyone can tell how to schedule the report to run as background job ?

Ok in this case there can be too options.
1) either take file from the shared network and put it in your presentation server and then take it into application server ( this is manual by using CG3z)and then execute your program in background
2) or you will have to code using FTP commands
First connect using FM FTP_COMMAND. you will ahve to use commands like mget etc
Once connected then pass command using FM
FTP_COMMAND
Then get the files Data into Internal table via FTP server which can be done using
FM FTP_SERVER_TO_R3
once done use the back ground processing
Make sure that there is R/3 connection mainained using SM59.

Sorry, I misread your question - thinking that the report should only be run in the background.
I agree with the others (also about SMX and SMXX to display their own jobs, but not change them afterwards), but which report (tree) is this?
You can still give the user an ability to maintain a variant via transaction VARCH though (no execute possibility) . It will check S_PROGRAM p_action VARIANT or look for a user specific protection flag.
But then the user can submit it online as well from other transactions. That is why I thought you were looking for a way to run it as low priority in the background only.

How to get Activity Monitor to show processes running on one specific drive

I clone my main drive to two cloned drives. From the clones I normally, without any problem, run both Repair Disk from the Apple Disk Utility, and a maintenance program from Disk Warrior. Now, however, neither of these utility programs are able to unmount my main drive. Rather, they return a message to quite running processes. I have tried to use Activity Monitor to locate what is running, but can find no way to determine which of the dozens of processes listed are connected to the main drive, rather than to the boot drive of the clone. Plus, I do not understand how something can be "running" on a drive that is not the boot drive. Please help. Thanks.

Let's start in reverse order...

That's easy. You can't unmount the drive if any files on that drive are in use. That does not necessarily mean the application is stored on that drive, but any file on that drive could prevent it being unmounted - for example, if an application has a document open that is on the drive, you might not be able to unmount the drive.
Even subtler, if you're running Terminal.app and have cd'd into a directory on that drive, then you won't be able to unmount, either, since the directory is 'in use'.
As for finding out which applications are using the disk, try lsof in terminal:
sudo lsof +d /Volumes/diskname
This will show any process that has an open file handle on /Volumes/diskname (and its subdirectories).

Activity Monitor shows a process running at 180% of CPU. How can that be?

Hi. When you go to Utilities > Activity Monitor, you see a list of the processes that are running on the Mac. Sometimes there is a process that shows it is running at 180% of CPU. What does this mean exactly? It is not possible to run at 180% of the capacity of the CPU, right? Thanks

And a process that is capable of running multiple threads of execution, can concurrently use more than 1 CPU, and thus consume greater than 100% of 1 CPU.

Warehouse Activity Monitor - Critical Parameters

Hi,
In Activity Monitor - Define critical parametes, there are some entries where storage type does not exist in the warehouse. I need to delete those records.
But when I select the line and try to delete it, i get a message LT030 (storage type does not exist in the warehouse (new entry required).
How do I delete the entry? Please advice

Hi,
If you are getting the error, first agian create the storage type and then delete the enteries in all areas and then finally delete the storag e type under teh amster data configuration.
Normally if you are deleting any organization elements frist you need to delete all the dependent configs / settings then only you need to delete the element.
Try this create the storage type again delete in warhouse monitor config, then delete the storage type.

How to track details for report last run

Hello All,
I have request from the client where i have to run the report from the last date on which the report was run.
For this i need to track the details as on which date the report was run last eg last the report was run 01-june-08
for a supplier so nect time when the report is run for tht supplier it shud allow dates only after 01-June-08.
This has to be done in rpeort 6i.
Can anyone suggest as how i can achieve this.

If do not purge the concurrent request data (fnd_concurrent_requests) you can use the max(request_date) for that concurrent_program_id and allow date that is greater than that, using table validation. In the where condition just use
select nvl(request_date,sysdate) from fnd_concurrent_requests
where trunc(nvl(request_date,SYSDATE)) between (select trunc(nvl(max(request_date),SYSDATE)) from fnd_concurrent_requests where concurrent_program_id=45666) and trunc(sysdate);

When I run activity monitor with no programs running my dock shows fluctuating usage...between 4% up to 20%. Random figures that come and go with corresponding CPU usage. A little help?

My activity monitor show random and fluctuating CPU usage at the Dock site with absolutelyno programs running. %'s fluctuate between 3 - 20 and they pretty much come and go. What might be causing this?

There's a lot of background processes running that aren't documented as Apps as such. And some of them are the Time Machine backups, Spotlight searches, all kinds of small little bits of maintenance caches, there's a lot going on. So it's not completely out of the question that this is 'normal' for a Mac. If it were 50% or more I would be concerned but if it spikes up to 20% for a second or two you are probably not in any trouble of any kind.

How does Activity Monitor Touch work?

Just wondering if anyone knows how this app works. The screen shot makes it look like it tells you much much time you spend playing games, on factime, reading, etc etc..... Does the iOS store this type of info in memory somewhere? Just curious how they would retrieve/calculate that type of info....

I'm not sure where they get the 'data' they say they are monitoring, but that app is worthless because some of the 'data' is not even accessable to iOS apps.

We can't communicate with presentation server while processing in background.
if needed we can do this by creating RFC destination and doing some setting in Desktop system.
