We have different types of client copy
LOCAL CLIENT COPY(SCCL)
REMOTE CLIENT COPY(SCC9)
CLIENT TRANSPORT(SCC8,SCC7)
What kind of copy your looking
If it is local client copy we have to login into targetclient using user SAP*
and type in command field SCCL.
In that screen you have to select what kind of profile u want to copy from the source client and we have to specify source client.
Schedule in the background and monitor the client log in SCC3 and job status in SM37.
For remote client copy we required a RFC connection between two sytems.
RFC connection can be created using T code SM59.
Login to the target client with sap* user and type in commandfield SCC9
In that screen you have to select what kind of profile u want to copy from the source client and source destination.
Source destinaton will be created in SM59.After selecting source destination automatically source clientand system name will be appear in specified fields
Schedule in the back ground and monitor job status in SM37.
Client transport can be done using (SCC8,SCC7) T codes.If u want to know more about client transport post a message.

You donot have to perform the client copy actually . You have to just run the test, it will not consume any disk, probably some archive files will be generated

How to handle a client copy

Hello gurus,
we have a SAP GTS-client connected to our ERP quality assurance (QA) system for testing purposes.
Now, we are planning to do a client copy from our ERP production system to our ERP QA-system.
After that, there will be a inconsistency between ERP and GTS (QA clients):
E.g. I created several new vendors in our ERP QA-system that were then transferred to SAP GTS (QA) with the vendor number given by the system (lets say vendor 215245 u201CTestvendor Inc.u201D). Now after the client copy, those vendors will have been overwritten in SAP ERP (QA) and there will be a u2018realu2019 vendor with that vendor number (e.g. 215245 u201CRealvendor Corp.u201D)).
Same goes for documents created for testing before the client copy.
My question is: How can I handle those inconsistencies? May I just transfer all the changed business partners and documents again or will that give me additional trouble?

Hello Alicia,
just execute initial transfer of customers/vendors. Changes will be overwritten with no inconsistencies.
With the documents i assume inconsistencies, but you will see them in the system log.

If you want to unlock the device, only the carrier can do that.
Did you possibly have the device replaced under warranty? If so, then Apple would have replaced it with an identical device. Regardless... you'll need to contact Apple directly as this is a user to user forum.

How Server can read client side SSL certificates through java code?

My code will be running on server which will be a java class that should read any SSL certificates for the user that is logging in to the application.
Kindly let me know how it can be achieved ? I have very rare knowldge on Security. how i can read SSL certificates of the client machine.
Also let me know the possible solutions for above question.

For my mud written in java, I used TCP/IP for the connections. When a client connects, he gets his own thread. Those threads are held in a vector in a manager class. each tick of the server does a quick run thru the vector and if the current thread/socket its on is null or !isAlive() its remove from the vector(which in turn removes it from getting any more game updates. This removal can be caused by two things. The clients disconnects by accident(kills his game, locks up has an internet connection hiccup, etc.) or he uses the games "quit" method. The quit method calls a method that does any player saving of data, etc then closes the socket, and sets it to null. thus the manager sees this and removes him frm the vecotr list on the next server tick. Seems to work great form a mud and worked really well in a multiplayer applet game I had up for a while.

Remote client copy is process which can perfom from soucre client. for this we need to create rfc destination from source to target client. use the transaction SCC9 from source client. Difine the required profile,source destination ,system name and you can start immidiately or you can schedule as back ground job.

Asking about how server can handle client disconnection

Dear sir/madam,
i'm doing my final year project and it is about a java client/server big2 game.But now i have a difficulties in dealing with the server side.
That is about how to take action on the serverside if the client suddenly disconnected.
I have read many java client/server programming scripts.But all of them doesn't mention this problem.The scrpits only assume the client side never disconnect suddenly.
I hope if you can give me some suggestions on this problem.

How to cancel a test client copy

Hello together,
please can somebody tell me, how to cancel a client copy in testmode, which in called in dialog ?
The GUI is off, but the clientcopy in SCC3 is running.
In sm50 you can see wpxx working on the test client copy.
How to cancel?
There is no job in sm37?!

Client Copy and Partner Profiles

Hi,
I have a doubt related to client copy and how it will affect the partner profiles.
We have a client which has quite a lot of partner profiles defined in it. Now the problem is that the Basis team is planning to perform periodic client copies on this System which will copy the data from another client say 010 to the client in discussion. My doubt is, when this happens what will happen to the partner profiles that are already there in the target? Will it be lost resulting in we creating it all over again? if so is there anyway to get around this issue?
I would appreciate any kind of input on this issue.

as far as i know a client copy is based on some parameter say it can be client copy based on master data, client copy based on application data etc. I guess partner profile is an application data so in tht case if client copy is done in its context no data will be lost.
just my thought, but please confirm on this with a BASIS team or try a post in the forum for Adminstration and BASIS.

I would have sayed RTFM except that just for sure i did this my self and found that there is nothing about client copy any more in the 4.0 documentation. From the
3.2 documentation (see below). I would surely not recomend to use 001 as i production client !

CLIENT COPY- HOW TO Transport client dependent objects

We are planning to do Client copy and after reading forums it seems that some objects doesnot get copied over like
Transfer rule
DataSource
Transfer Structure
InfoPackage
Process chain
Process chain variants (PSA processes)
now my understanding is i have to transport this object from System A to B
Release the transport and do the system copy.
Question 1-- what steps i need to make sure while creating a transport.
Q2 Should i click on the object in Transport connection and select (Transport all below, add/remove additional object)
(BECAUSE if i dont do that the boxes TRANSPORT is visible and no check box is in there )
q3 - What should be grouping ? (in dataflow before/afterwards, save for system copy etc. ?? )
q4 What should be Collection Mode - Collect automatically or start manual collection
q5 what should be selected in PACKAGE
q6 i can find Process chains and not PROCESS VARIANTS
q7 i can find Transfer rules but i cannot find TRANSFER STRUCTURE
i just want to make sure how to do these for all objects???
as i have to release the transport before system closes out

How do assign mutiple client Macs my new Printer List? What do I copy over?

The only thing that changed is our IP addresses. We moved. Same Printers & Same Macs, just new IP addresses. I want ARD to delete every clients printer list and apply my new Printer List that I created on my Admin ARD Mac. All my printers were 'Printer Browser' created under the IP Printer tab, using protocol LPD. I really don't want to login to each client Mac and do each one individually. What do I copy from local to my 46 clients?? Desparate :-P

How can the client know if the SSL certificate specified in the service-config.xml file is invalid/untrusted/expired? For example using iOS client, the trusted certificate will not work and the client has no way to know that the certificate is untrusted. Can the lcds server return any specific exceptions for SSL errors?

We use a standard Java keystore and certificate validation can be handled as per standard best practices. At present we do not provide a hook point to validate the server certificate. However, you can register a bootstrap service which validates the certificate on system startup: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dataservicesjee/4.6/Developing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811f00f 6fe7f-7ffeUpdate.html This would require you to pass another copy of the keystore configuration to you Bootstrap service and then you can inspect the certificate in the keystore and validate it.
