How well do the new earpods work with small ears?

My wife has a hard time with earbuds because she has small ears. Just curious if the new earpods would work better for her or not. Anybody have experiance with these yet to know?

I just got a macbook and it works fine with my dell 2007fpw. For that matter, my g3 ibook works fine (if a little slow for some operations) with that monitor at full resolution (1600x1050) (after screenspanning doctor). The graphics card may be weak compared to other current laptop offerings, but it is by no means bad, and for any 2d task it is just fine.

  • How well does the TomTom app work?

Let's hear it, how well does the TomTom app work compared to a dedicated GPS device? Are you using TomTom's special cat kit? Is there a way to load TomTom binary files (POIs) onto the iphone?

I have used a Garmin Nuvi760 for about 2 years and have been very pleased. When TomTom had a sale for $50 and now seems to be $60, I bought it. I also bought a kensington car mount. (http://us.kensington.com/html/17546.html). I like it. with my 3GS, there is no need for the amplified TomTom car kit. The speech quality could be better but it's loud enough. I do like the on screen presentations a bit more than my Garmin. I'm still getting used to the interface. It's a real good thing that I can use my contacts file to set destinations. My next step is to go on an 800 mile trip this month and compare the two systems side by side. So far, TomTom has not always made the best route choice and once sent me to the right address in an adjoining city. (This is southern Cal) Not good, but these are map issues which will always be evolving. Is it worth it? Yes. At $100, maybe. The good thing is that my phone is always with me and so is my GPS. I does put a drain on the battery, so it should be on charging while using in a car.

  • Does the new iPad work with adobe flash?

Does the new Ipad work with a version of adobe flash?  I have read several articles, and I'm just more confused than when I started!  I'm a newer Mac user, and I'm interested in the new iPad, but I don't know if I want it if it doesn't support internet pages that use adobe flash.  Thanks for your help!!

Adobe eliminated its "mobile Flash" department.  Android, Mobile Windows, IOS, WebOS ... everyone is out of luck.

    Dear Rajesh,
Create a policy in your fire wall to allow the port to send and receive data.
I believe the port for the mobile should be port 8080 and 8443.
And your license server port 30000 and 30001

  • Is the new earpods match with my mp3 music player?

The old earphones match with my mp3player.Then can you say the new earpods match with that?

Yes. The EarPods use the same 3.5mm plug that is an industry wide standard and thus the same plug that was used on the older remote and mic headset.

  • An Idea: How to make the Magic Timeline work with Tracks

i have thought about this for a title and i think i have found a solution. the magic timeline is pretty cool but with it we lost tracks. for broadcast (not only for that but mostly for it) you need tracks that are assignt in a special way and there is no way around it. so i came up with the following idea…
to make the magic timeline work with tracks it will be a like an audio compound clip, that will give you full access to the magic time. but it can be outputted to proper tracks assignment.
current audio compound clips don't show you the video if there is one. this one will. also audio can be tagged to a track so it will automatically drop into the right track. you can of course move the audio from one track to another. moving the clip to another track will auto change the tag to new track. if you copy an audio clip from one track to another, the original clip will keep its tag but the copied one gets the new tag.
    example…
you do a voice over with all your edits and stuff. then you collapse it to a track (new name to get rid of any sort of confusion). you can tag/name the track to "voice over" or whatever you want and color label it.
you need to edit, adjust it? no problem! double click it and it will open up and you'll see the magic timeline. edit till you done and click on arrow to return to track view.
export your movie with proper tracks for broadcast right out of final cut pro x
in the end your output timeline looks like a timeline from fcp7 before you output it on tape.
could this work? i believe it could and it would help to make fcpx ready for broadcast.
i hope this makes some sort of sense to you
anyway, i hope apple will include this or something like this in an update for fcpx.

You may be able to get by with just running MDT 2010 for now. *However* you *must* ensure that you are running WinPE 3.1 or greater, If you are unsure, open up a command prompt in WinPE (PRess F8), and run "ver" it should say build 7601 or greater, 7600
    and less is not compatible.
When done, Run the Dell Advanced Format tool in the Full OS on a deployed machine to verify:  http://del.ly/afhdd  Although it is possible to install an OS on an Advanced Format Drive
with WInPE 3.0 or earlier, and it may *appear* to work, performance may suffer. The Dell AF tool should tell you if the sectors are aligned properly.
Additionally, it is also possible that the storage driver you have installed in your image is incompatible with AF drives. Check the Make/Model and check with the Hardware Mfg to see if they have driver that supports AF drives.

  • How well does the new Apple 24" LED Display work?

    Hey guys
Im thinking of purchasing a 24" LED Display from Apple, just because I need a bigger screen to work on, as I edit photos, and film and I've been looking into one for awhile. Buck for buck, is this monitor a good companion to the unibody MacBook pros with the mini display port? Of course, its looks all glitz and glamour on the mac site but has anyone worked with these things hands on? What are the pros and cons?

The display is very easy to use; considering you'll probable be plugging in the display multiple times per day this is really important.
The built in display is LED lit (cool light) sense the 24" is also LED lit (cool light), there is a greater consistency in color between the two displays.
Traditional LCD displays have a warmer glow due to using a fluorescent tube. Trying to go between LED and and fluorescent tube displays could drive you insane. especially if your using both displays at the same time for photography, where color can be very important.

  • How can I install pre-V7 version of Firefox, I am not happy how the new versions work with some websites, in particular with BBC and C4

The new versions of Firefox do not let me save favourite programs on the BBC and C4 (might be more but I haven't tried others), i find it rather annoying as previous versions worked great

Thank you Swarnava. I actually need any version before 7 whether that would be 6 or 5 or 6.5 from and including v7 is a problem.

The new iPhoto 6 .0.3 update is supposed to fix the calendar problem. The first thing I created with V6 was a calendar and it turned out great. With the fix in the new update, it should be very useable.

  • How well would the new 13" Macbook Pro Retina handle HD video editing, in say Adobe Premier?

    Hi there.
I'm buying a new Macbook Pro and would like to know how well the different specs would handle editing HD videos from a GoPro. I've mostly been filming in 720 because my current white macbook (2008) is dying, but wouldnt mind filming in 1080.
    This is what im consudering
    http://store.apple.com/us/buy-mac/macbook-pro?product=ME865LL/A&step=config
    2.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
    Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz
    8GB 1600MHz memory
    256GB PCIe-based flash storage1
    Intel Iris Graphics
Will it be powerful enough? Would it be very future proof?
Thanks for your help in advance.
    Chris

I would agree that the $200 upgrade to the i7 would probably be the best choice if you want the 13" form factor. If you're able (and since these systems are so new, I've not seen many heads-up comparisons), I would ask to load Premier on both an i5 model and an i7 model and see which renders video more quickly. Usually, a lot of rendering depends on the GPU but, as I said, I don't know enough about the Iris built-in GPU to know if it's a lot faster than the old Intel 4000 or not.
If you can't get a hands-on Premiere comparison, surely you could ask for a FCP X demo on both machines!
    Good luck with your choice,
    Clinton

Well, Forms and Reports are still core skills to have.
Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle ADF are the core tool/framework used for our future business applications (Fusion) as well as being at the core of our tools like WebCenter, BPM, EM etc etc. So that might be a smart option of you want to do something new which will be a core Oracle skill. The book I wrote on this might be of use. Google for "Quick Start Guide to Fusion Development Oracle JDeveloper Oracle ADF".

  • Do the Apple Earpods work with the HTC One?

    Hi,
I am just about to upgrade my phone to a HTC One and I just wanted to know if my Apple Earpods will work with that phone.
I think that the actual earpods themselves will work but I just want to know if the inline mic and controls will work with it or they will not function, while letting the earpods still output sound.
    Any response is appreciated,
    Thanks,

there is no std for how to handle mic and buttons on headsets so each make it their own way
if they work nobody will know without trying

  • How to use the new MacBook 13'' with Built-in 7-hour battery

    Hi,
I just bought the new MacBook, it is my first Mac, and having the Built-in 7-hour battery I don't know if I can plug it in most of the times without doing any damage to the battery.
On other portable computers, I just take the battery out and than plug it in and use it, but in this one that can not be done.
So, what to do? Try to always drain and recharge fully, or it is no problem to plug it in when the battery is fully charged?
I read that you should let it sleep(when it goes to sleep because it doesn't have battery)for 5 hours before charging it so it really drains. Is that really necessary?
Also after it goes to sleep and I plug it in to charge, should I let it charge in Sleep Mode, or should I Shut it down and let it charge?
What has been your experience with battery life? The first time I used it, it lasted for 4hours, is this normal and it will get better with 3 or 4 fully charges/draines?
Thank you very much for your help.
    Pantuf

Hey guys, I understand your concern that you're not getting 7 hours out of your battery but let me put a couple things into perspective and also offer you some info from Apple's website that may or may not explain why you aren't getting the full 7 hrs.
First mgb545, 5.5 hours is killer for laptop battery, but nonetheless you paid for it for the 7 hour battery so I don't fault you in any way for wanting what they said you would get.
Second, the MacBook is Apple's "sub $1000" notebook. At first mention of that you think, "alright, it's under a thousand bucks!". It is, it's just $999...
My point is that it's an advertising game. The MacBook can get +up to+ 7 hours on a single charge but not everybody is doing the same things or has the same configuration as when Apple was testing their machines. You might have a Time Machine HDD backing up (which I don't recommend nor do I think you guys do since you didn't mention it) or some other USB peripheral that takes power which would lower the battery's life. However, I think there is
This is straight an easier explanation... This next blurb is the "fine print" from Apple's website right on their MacBook page about how they got 7 hrs.
+"Testing conducted by Apple in October 2009 using preproduction 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo-based MacBook units. Battery life depends on configuration and use. See www.apple.com/batteries for more information. The wireless productivity test measures battery life by wirelessly browsing various websites and editing text in a word processing document with display brightness set to 50%."+
That all being said, I think or at least hope you'll find your answer there. For starters, it says "various websites". Who knows if those were basic HTML or Flash heavy sites or a combination of both? The other stipulation of this is brightness. Do you guys have your brightness at 50% or is it higher?
Try this, I know the weekend just passed, but if you find that you have 7 hours where you don't need your laptop, leave it on, make sure it doesn't go to sleep or screen saver, play with it every so often, leave wi-fi on, make sure your brightness is at 50% and then see how long it lasts.
One last thing, when you say you're getting 5.5 hrs out of your battery, how low are you letting it go to? I'm assuming when Apple says "a single charge" they mean it. So if you're getting 5.5hrs when it goes down to 8 or 10% you also need to factor in the extra time you might gain from that.
Hope this help, let me know how your computers are set up, I'm curious to know if this will resolve or at least account for your lack of 7 hrs because me just recently got the 13" MBP and it doesn't get 7hrs either.
