How/where do I install ICC paper profiles on a Mac?

I have Lightroom 4 and OSX Lion. I want to install new paper profiles for my Epson 3800 printer. I've downloaded the profiles, where/how do I install them in Lion?

I'm sure there are instructions on the Canon site.

There are two library folders where you could install them:
To install for all users install in
Macintosh HD > Library >ColorSync>Profiles
To install only for yourself install in
Your Home Folder > Library >ColorSync>Profiles

How can I restore ICC paper profiles?

I have added a few ICC paper profiles to my Colorsync Profiles folder (Mac OS X) Since then Lightroom shows an empty profiles list. What went wrong? What shoul I do?
I have restore Lightroom. The profiles seem to be in the right folder (user/LibraryColorsync/profiles) but it looks like Lightroom cannot see them.
Is there something else to check somewhere?

The profiles I am talking about are those downloaded from paper manufacturers, specific to my printer (sp 3800) and to each paper, which I used to store in the Hardisk/ Library/ Colorsync/profiles folder.
What happened is quite strange. I download new profiles from Hartman because I wanted to try a new printing paper. I stored that profile and then I clicked on the "others" button in the paper selection window in the printing module of Lightrom 1,4. all the profiles I used previously had disappeared the window was empty. However when accessing the above mentionned folder they do show up. Why can't Lightroom 1.4 see them?
Since yesterday I have down loaded a trial version of Lightroom 2.5 and in that version it works ie the profiles do show up

How to add icc paper profile

I want to add a new paper profile for my Epson 3880 printer. I downloaded the profile, but I cannot find were the folder is to put the icc profile. The instructions that came with the profile are for snow leopard and the folder structure is different in Lion. Help would be appreciated. thanks.

Execute t-code rz10
Give the profile->extended maintenance->change
Then click on create button
Give profile parameter abap/fieldexit then click on copy give the value YES
Then come back by clicking on green back arrow button twice it will ask you to save the profile click on yes.After that save it.It will ask you to activate the profile confirm with yes.

Have downloaded a revised print paper profile from Epson but don't know where to place it in LR4 so that it shows up with the other profiles available for choice. Need help....

Install the profile via the operating system as per normal Mac procedure.
Go to the Print module>Print Jobs panel>Profile pulldown>Other…
Put a check mark next to any profile you wish Lightroom to have access to.

Adobe 2014.2.1 Windows versions 7. Problems with Epson R3000 ICC paper profiles

I've recently added an Ilford paper profile to my Photoshop. The profile appears in workspaces and I can set the workspace to that profile. When I try to print the profile appears when I set Photoshop handles colour management, but when I go to Printer Settings...... I only see Epson paper profiles. Why can't I seet the Ilford profile to select it?

OK, so 24hrs later and problem solved.. I moved the printer and connected it directly to the i5 running 10.6.2, then downloaded the latest driver using software update. Everything is fine, and I've got all those options back for setting paper type, quality etc, Great!
Trouble is, now the old iMac Intel 24" wont print to the printer on the network.....

Ok... laugh, joke make fun or whatever but have to do password reset and I hear I need to reinstall mac os x. Problem is...when I install cd nothing happens. Please advise how to get this installation to take place so I can go to the utilities menu and change this pswd? It is a loaner unit I use for work and I am halted at file updates with this password prompt.

I tried something that worked for me...
Knowing that after my install of Windows 7 wasn't the correct method (didn't go through bootcamp), and the BootCamp 4.x package wouldn't install under windows 7, I tried reinstalling Bootcamp 4.x in Windows 7 to see what the exact message was it gave me. The message said it couldn't install because of a 32-bit O.S. vs a 64-bit version of the package.
So that got me thinging - my XP version was 32-bit, and so is my Windows 7 installation. So I tried installing the bootcamp that came with my Mac OS X installation CD. This is bootcamp version 3.1.
Not only did it install, but it practically took care of everything driver-wise for me. I was then able to see my wireless network, enter my password and I was connected. The only thing else I had to do to get on the Internet was bring IE8 online (guess it ships offline by default). Firewall and Antivirus are now installed, just a few more things to go.
That's one thing that's just not clear that I'll be sure to note for next time... The Bootcamp packages you download are actually driver packages for Windows. That is where the Windows drivers exists that are necessary to make your Windows 7 PC work on a bootcamp partition!
I didn't need the AirPoirt Utility at all (at least, I never went into it).
Thanks VikingOSX for your post. I will not need to follow the steps you provided, but they may help someone else as all of these bootcamp issues I've been reading seem to be very unique per installation.

Where exactly are InDesign icc print profiles?

I'm in the process of calibrating a color printer we have down in our Copy Center. It's just a Xerox. I'm confused about where to put any resulting .icc profile files, though. When I look at all that are available in InDesign when creating a PDF Preset, I can't actually find the files themselves that are listed anywhere on my Mac. For example, I can't find the profile "US Newsprint (SNAP 2007)" or "Euroscale Coated v2" anywhere on my Mac. My calibration software stores the profiles in \users\me\library\colorsync\profiles, and, some, but not all, show up in Indesign.

I don't know abpout the Mac, but on Windows color profiles are stored at he system level (equivalent to your colorsync folder) and also in the CommonFiles\Adobe\Color\Profiles folder and there is also a Recommended subfolder in there, which can move them to the top of the list.

How To Do I Install Numbers (Download) On a 2nd Mac?

I bought the 19.99 version from the App store, which installed fine on my Mac Pro.
It is my understanding that it is OK to install this on multiple computers now in your home.
I dragged a copy of it using Dropbox, then went downstairs and pulled it out of the box and installed it in Applications on Mac HD.
When I tried to open it, it said "Numbers may be damaged or incomplete."
What else do I need to do here?
I notice I could only find the one custom template I created (home:Library: Application Support: iWork: Numbers, etc.
Not sure where the Apple templates are stored, can't find them.

May you also check on the machine used to download the app if there is the shared folder ?
One of the shared files is used to display the description of the spreadsheet functions when we try to insert a formula in a table's cell.
Others are used to rule the import process of Word documents.

I just purchased AppleTV and I am trying to conect to the internet through my University network (I live on campus). Apple Support says I need to create a profile via Apple Configuration. To get Apple Configuration I apparently have to have a Mac. I don't have a Mac so how do I do this? Do I need to go buy a Mac Computer to get my Apple TV to work?

Yes you need a Mac, but I suspect it would be cheaper to borrow one than go buy one just for this.
