How will iMessenger work with 2 iphones (and an iPad)?

My household has 2 iPhones and an iPad 2. I'm the primary user of one phone and the iPad and my mom uses the other iPhone. All are registered to one AppleID (so that any purchased apps can be shared and updated easily).
This has worked great; however, I am wondering how iMessage will work. From what I understand, when you message someone who has an iOS device, it will show up on all your devices so that I can switch back and forth between iPhone and iPad for example. But if someone messages me, will it also show up on my mom's iPhone? How would this work if we have one Apple ID? I can see how she would get texts the same way she does now, but if it is from someone who has an iOS....which devices would receiver her texts? or mine? Does anyone know? Thanks!!

To all families who read this post:
1. If you only want to buy an app once, across multiple addresses, set up one Apple ID for all devices. (I call this the "App ID") Click on Settings -> Store, and put your "App ID" in there.
2. If you want to use iMessage separately on devices, set up *separate* Apple IDs for each person--one for Mom, one for sister, etc. (I call this the "iCloud ID")
3. You can also use this "iCloud ID" so that each family member has their own 5GB of backup space for contacts, calendars, etc. Use it at Settings -> iCloud -> Account.

You cannot merge two separate libraries across user accounts. Photos does not have the function of merging different Photos.library files. If you have Aperture then you can merge the two before migrating over to Photos.

Ive got the same problem, just got my iphone unlocked, and they told me to sync it to itunes to get it permently unlocked, well everytime i plug my iphone in it says; it wont work as it needs up dating to 10.6.3, which i have already updated, but still doesnt work, so how can i get my phone unlocked?

TC has no direct relevance to any of the iOS devices..
They backup to iTunes on the computer, which is then backed up by Time Machine to the Time Capsule.
You can access files if you load an app like file browser.. but TC is not a media server .. it is a dumb hard disk and other than saving files there is nothing useful to do with the TC.

The M-audio techs were unable to tell me if Quattro would work with LE8, so I've been wasting my time and money trying to make it work.
They also gave me conflicting opinions as to whether or not "tip" polarity was an issue when using an after-market adapter. One said definitely yes, one or two others said definitely no.
Their phone tech line has a 20 to 40 minute wait when I call. The online support system is confusing, which even they admit. I don't think my next interface will be from M-audio.

Anyway, I am interested in the APE wirless network but will it work for both his Dell & my Mac? And will we be both be able to use just one printer? How will that work? Will we both need an APE card? I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.

iCloud is only compatible with iOS, OS X and Windows, not Linux, so you can't use iCloud in Linux. However, you can access to your iCloud in Linux opening http://www.icloud.com, but you can't sync data from the PC to your other computers and devices

It just says 'This accessory is not compatible with this device'. Good thing Apple's return policy is decent. I was able to get a full refund.

Hi It's all in the title.
I have an app called 'Done', but I also want to use it on my mac and then sync it to my iphone and I can't find the mac version of the program (prob cos it doesn't exist).

Things and OmniFocus both have desktop/phone clients. (not cheap options)
Appigo's ToDo I think will sync with Remember the Milk, and there may be a desktop client that will also sync with RtM. I think Appigo may also sync with to-dos in iCal.
Zenbe Lists also has a phone/web client.
Try googling "sync to do iphone" or somesuch, and it will cover your options. As Michael said, nothing is built in by Apple, which means they are all annoying compromises that require setup.
Me, I'm waiting on The Hit List's iPhone client and hoping it does MobileMe sync.

Sorry, no and don't even try using the Bluetooth Dongle approach as Apple does not support this either. You need new hardware for Handoff to work unless it is around 12 to 18 months old at the latest.

Ipad air will only work with email address and not phone number

Do you have an iPhone?
You can only associate a phone number to messages and facetime if you have an iPhone.
The iPhone will associate the number it has to your Apple Id which in turn will make it available to Facetime and Messages on the iPad, assuming it uses the same Apple ID.
If you do have an iPhone, make sure you've activated Facetime and Messages on it so your Apple ID links to your number.
