I look at a lot of web pages looking for things that i would like to impliment into my web site. I came across this.
I want to be able to have an expandable menu where i can choose different options.
I don't know what this would even be called. That would be a good start, just knowing what it is called so that i can search further for it.
Is it a type of a spry menu bar?
Is this a widget of sorts?
If anyone knows of a tutorial of how to do this, would you pleas post a link? Thanks.

You need to manipulate the XML-source to get to look you explained.
Select the textfield and switch to XML source view.
Then remove the bold parts of the source code.

Here are the steps to authorize a computer in iTunes:
How do I authorize a computer?
Open iTunes on the computer you want to authorize.
Choose Store > Authorize This Computer from the menu bar.
You might need to show the menu barto see this option in Windows. In earlier versions of iTunes, you can access this option from the Advanced menu.
Enter your Apple ID and click Authorize.
If your Apple ID uses an expired MobileMe account, you can still use it to authorize your computer.
If iTunes asks you to authorize your computer again, it won't use a new authorization. iTunes uses the same authorization for the same computer.

1. Insert your DVD.
2. Open Disk Utilities (Application> Utilities> Disk Utilities). Highlight your DVD and press "New Image" on the upper toolbar.
3. Choose the location you would like to save your DVD from the drop down menu, "Desktop" is usually the best choice. Then click Save.
4. When finished, your DVD icon will appear on the desktop with the .dmg extension.
5. With iMovie open, double-click the .dmg file you created to mount it. The iMovie import window will then appear asking you to choose. Click Import All and wait for the Import to complete.

The only way to use Forms Central would be to export it the method that gives you the embed code (can't remember what the actual term is off hand) and then use Object--->Insert HTML and past your code in.

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.

5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.

iPods (except for iPod touch) are not linked to any iTunes "account." They are associated with your iTunes library. The account in iTunes is your Apple ID, and that is used to buy and download content from the iTunes Store. It is not required to use an iPod.
The 1st (and 2nd) gen shuffle can only be used with one iTunes library at a time. When you connect it, iTunes should prompt you to start using it with your iTunes library, and warn that the shuffle's existing content will be erased. Have iTunes erase the shuffle, and it will be associated with your iTunes library going forward. You can then add content to your shuffle.
The need for the previous owner's Apple ID and password should only come up if you are trying to transfer existing content from the shuffle to your iTunes library, AND the previous owner had content purchased from the iTunes Store. Just cancel out of that step, if iTunes asks.

How would I go about making a gradient overlay in AE

So, I recently made the move from Lightworks over to the Creative Cloud suite and I'm trying to figure out how to accomplish some of the same effects that I had produced in Lightworks. I can figure out most things that I need to do in Premiere Pro on my own, but I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to reproduce an animated image overlay. Put simply, the steps are:
1. Gradient slides into the viewing area and the entire height of the screen from the right side and goes about 35% of the way from right to left during the animation.
2. While the gradient is fading in, icon images of game materials are slowly fading in.
3. Text describing the amounts of each item needed are are also slowly fading in during this time.
4. After about 2 seconds, the gradient stops advancing from right to left, the text is @ 100% opacity and so are the icon images.
5. This lasts about 6-8 seconds with the information fully visible on the screen.
6. The process reverses itself, and everything fades out over the same 2 second time period.

Its a very simple animation at its core. I may just be looking around in the wrong places or using the wrong keywords (I'm very new to Adobe overall) so I'm not sure exactly where to start with these kinds of effects. Really, what I need to know is what tools or animation effects do I need to acomplish the gradient portion. I assume the other items are just titles and image keying, but the gradient I haven't figured out.
Also, is this simple enough it can be done in Premiere, or am I better off using AE to accomplish this. Ideally its something I would want to reuse as a preset if possible to use in future videos and I may pretty it up and make it more stylized, but I really just need to figure out how to go about making the gradient animation for now.

I would create a shape layer with a gradient fill. The gradient would have both color and opacity adjustments so that the opacity on the left edge was 0 and on the right was somewhere between 50 and 80.
Then I would add a soft edge linear wipe on my text layer.
Place both layers in their final position and adjust blend modes if necessary to get the look you want.
Parent the text layer to the shape layer
Animate the shape layer position to move it off screen to the right
AE BASICS are the only things used in creating this kind of effect.

How Would One Go About Making an Object Rotate to Face in Direction of Mouse?

I'm just a teenager who happens to have Flash as part of CS4 Production Premium, which I got as a gift. I don't have any training or previous experience in Flash, and have only just in the past few month been looking into what ActionScript is. I've just been fiddling with Flash in my spare time, just as something to do, and am working on making very basic computer games. Currently I am trying to make a very basic top-down shooter computer game. I've gotten it to where I can move the player (a circle with an arrow on the edge) in eight directions using the standard FPS movement keys (W,A,S,D) and make it move faster for a limited time by holding down the SHIFT key.
But now I've come to a standstill. I am trying to make the player rotate in the direction of the mouse cursor (made to look like crosshairs) so that the player can move in any of the eight directions and aim in any direction at the same time. I've searched the Internet for hours on end, looking for anything that might help, but not a single Web page section relates to this kind of thing. So now I'm giving up on searching for a help article, and am making one instead. Is there anyone that's successfully done this kind of thing before? Or at least someone who actually knows how to properly use ActionScript 3.0 and can figure it out themselves, then tell me what they did? (In the meantime, I've made it so that the player rotates and faces in the direction he is traveling in.)
I've attatched all the code that I've typed to make the game work, so that anyone can look at it and tell me if I'm doing something wrong already. I've only been learning ActionScript by figuring it out on my own as I go (watched a few videos I have on a disc too), and in the case of this game, I've just been making is up as I go, so to all of you people who actually know this stuff pretty well, this code is probably going to look nasty.

I pasted it to the bottom of my code on the main timeline (correcting it for my use), but I get this message in the Compiler Errors window:

So what do I do about that? (again, I'm just a beginner, so I don't know what any of this means)

I have got a string. I want to break it down into sub-strings. There are certain ascii characters within the origional string that determin where the sub-string should end. I want to get 4 sub-strings out of the origional string.
Anyone know how I would go about doing this? I dont want to use any packages either. Just plain java code.

How would I go about recreating this?

Not sure if many of you have read about Robert Pattinson and his photoshoot but I was looking at some pictures from it and came across this one and thought the effects were pretty cool. I was wondering how I would go about recreating it.
At first I thought of duplicating the layer and shifting it then messing with transparencies but then I noticed that some of the picture is static. Is it the camera work that makes the picture so cool or is it just one picture that they manipulated? Any advice would be helpful.

Looks like Dupe Layers, Layer Masks, with Opacity changed, and position (Move Tool) used.
Or, it could be a frame capture from bad video...
Just my observations, without looking at the image closely in PS.
What did the shooter's Web site indicate for the "technique?" Was it done in-camera, or done in PS? That will give you the total story.

Now the steadicam shot I used (I have done something similar for the actual music video) I would like to have 3d text/objects 'pop-up' from behind the artists shoulder and follow him for a few seconds as he says certain parts of his lyrics during his walking shot.
I'm assuming I will have to do things like 'tracking' and 'camera solving' and also probably have to mask the subject to have the 3d objects appear like they are 'behind' him...as well as lighting the objects that I would prob have to creatd in Maya/Photoshop CS5 (which I have access to) etc etc etc.
That's my main problem...I just don't know AE well enough (albeit I'm quick to learn) and I basically need to know specifically what I need to be doing here to achieve my ideas.
I've seen some basic "how to add 3d text to video" tutorials but they are all for static shots and in this case you can see that's not the case here.
Can anyone please provide some workflow insight?
I'm not looking for an easy way out here but any direction to make this process a bit less error free would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'm afraid you can pretty much forget all that because the video was shot the wrong way in the first place. The camera is far too close in and the artist obscuring too much of the background to get a stable track. His gestures would throw off the tracker, also. Aside from that, due to how it moves, you would have to do it for every shot separately and still need to manually matchmove sections where the motion is simply too fast. Additionally, you cannot go creative with contrast and color. This needs to be shot as neutral as possible. In some of your footage there is nothing but black shadows and while that may be due to the color correction, I doubt the original sources look that much better. so ultimately, you are stuck with those techniques for static shots and throwing a lot of manual work on top of it to make it work in the few shots where it may be possible to kinda match the camera..
