How would I import a micro cassette audio tape onto a MacBook Pro?

If you can connect your recorder to the audio input port of your MBP, enter 'digitize tape mac' in the Google entry field and you will generate a plethora sites that will explain the details.
Ciao.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
If you mean to back them up, just connect the device to iTunes and sync.
If you mean to use, you can't, those apps will only run on a mobile device.

The sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchaes:  File>Transfer Purchases

  • How do you import music from my iPhone to my new MacBook Pro without loosing non-purchased music?

I recently purchased my first MacBook Pro. I am trying to import my music from my iphone to my Mac and itunes, but I do not want to sync it because I have downloaded music from previous CD's that I do not want to loose. It says that I can only transfer "Purchased" music into my itunes library? I can I transfer ALL my music from my iphone to my computer and into itunes????

Syncing is NOT limited to purchases music. You do not need to purchase anything, just learn how to select and sync (not upload) thru iTunes. What does "not let me upload" mean? What is occurring when you try and what are you doing?

  • How do I move my event photos to iPhoto onto new Macbook pro

I have my old iPhoto event photos on my iPhone 4 and I want to move them onto iPhoto on my Macbook Pro, which has OS X Mountain Lion.  When I plug in my phone, it prompts saying that I will lose my photos on my phone.  How do I move my old event photos I got from my old iPhoto to my new iPhoto? I also don't have my old computer where my photos came from.

I just got my mac pro yesterday.
Apple provides a number of very helpful tutorials - in the right hand column of this page - http://www.apple.com/startpage/
I'm not sure how to move my photo booth pictures to my pictures folder and iphoto..?
By default your Photo booth pictures are in the photo booth folder in the the pictures folder - if you move them from there then Photo Booth will not see them
When I move them I want to organize them how I usually did on windows. Very neat & organized.
That is fine - but if you want to view them in Photo Booth you need to leave them where it knows about them. And once you import them into iPhoto you must leave the copies (done by default and strongly recommended - especially for new users) inside the iPhoto library alone - you must never make any changes of any sort to the contents of the iPhoto library
I'm freaking out because I tried dragging them...I don't really know what I did but there's doubles of all of them in my All Documents folder and only one in my pictures folder.
I don't know what you did either - dragging files to a new location on the same volume moves the file - dragging it to a different volume copies the file
I don't like not being able to put the things where I want them to go easily!
You can - but you do need to learn how to use any new system or new software - and you have both a new system and new software - you need to learn it
The answer to your subject is to open the photo booth folder and drag the photos to iPhoto - it will import them into iPhoto and take care of them there - after importing you can do what you want with the photos outside of iPhoto

  • How do I import my old iPhoto library to my new macbook Pro?

I have a new laptop pro and I don't want all my files similar to my old laptops so I didn't use the migration assistant. All I want is iPhoto to be the same on my new laptop as it is on my old laptop.
Is there a way to do this? Can I just grab the iPhoto library folder located in user/pictures/iPhoto Library and drag over to the new mac to copywrite it? or will that still not preserve the faces, places, and event's database?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Caleb

I have a related situation. I recently purchased a new Macbook and like the originator of this post, did not use Migration Assistant to set it up. Also like the originator, I want my iPhoto library to move to my Macbook intact. My old computer is an iMac G4 running OS X 10.4.11. That computer has iPhoto 2.0.1. I dragged my iPhoto Library on to an iPod in disk mode and dragged it from that device onto my new Macbook which is running Snow Leopard and iPhoto '09. I started iPhoto on the Macbook and pointed it to the old iPhoto Library. It started up fine, updated the Library and went through its Faces recognition routine. Super, except that my old machine tells me that my Library holds 4818 images and iPhoto on my new machine counts just 3415 images.
Can someone help me understand the discrepancy and how to rectify? Thank you.

  • How can I import video from a VHS tape onto my mac and into imovie?

I am trying to take old family movies that are on VHS tapes and get them into imovie so i can edit them and burn DVDs

I recommend the EyeTV Hybrid from ElGato. It will do what you ask and also serve as a high-def TV Tuner and DVR.

Another option is to buy a digital camcorder with a Pass-thru option.
A final option is a digital analog converter like those sold by Canopus. These are expensive.

    You can't.

  • How do I get my photos off my iPhone onto my MacBook Pro

I just got a Mac book pro and want to put all the photos from my iPhone 5 onto my computer. What's the easiest and fastest way to do this? If it's iCloud/photo stream please give instructions because I tried that way and only 27 of my 600 photos and videos loaded. Thanks so much for your help and time

Connect your iPhone to your MacBook Pro and start iPhoto or Image capture. Either application will recognize your iPhone as a camera and allow you to copy photos in your Camera Roll to the MacBook Pro.

On the xcode organizer window if there is no provisioning profile on the left under library, how would I import a provisioning account? I'm getting an error message saying valid signing identity not found when I try to run an xcode project on an ipad. Under the orgainzer window a few icons are missing. Another issue that sort of complicates things is that I can get into developer.apple.com->membercenter, but there is no icon for the provisioning portal to export the profile.

I have had an iTunes account for a while, but never really taken the time to learn to use it.  Now I have two computers, with two different versions of iTunes, with content on one that I want to transfer to the other.  Or I'd like to directly access the older libarary from the new computer.
There are a number of ways you might achieve this. The following article(s) may help you.
Moving your iTunes library to a new computer
Alternatively you might just use home sharing to share the libraries.
Plus I have some videos and audio CD's that I have never imported, and would like to bring them into iTunes and store on an external hard drive to keep from loading up my computer.  I have no idea how to accomplish all of this, and cannot find clear instructions on the website.  Is there a screen where I can access written step-by-step instructions?  I don't have the time or patience to play around and do it by trail and error.  Thanks.
If you place a CD into the CD drive, iTunes will ask you if you want to import it.
If you want iTunes to store content on an external drive, you need to tell it to do so, which you do at iTunes preferences > Advanced.

  • Mts files cannot imported with audio in pro cc6. how i can import mts files with audio?

when i am importing mts files in pro cc6. every time it is being imported without audio. though original mts files have audio. how can i import mts files with audio in cc6?

To clarify Media Browser suggestion - very important that you copy ALL content from SD card to hard drive before importing using Media Browser. If you only have the .mts files alone, there is stuff missing that is needed for Premiere to properly interpret the video/audio.

How do you get songs into a Smart Playlist...? Also, when I select the music tab on top, there is no iphone button or anything that says sync to iPhone.  That's where I get confused
When you set up a Smart Playlist, it automatically populates the list with songs. You don't have to do anything. Now, you may not have set it up properly, meaning your set up fails to recognize any songs.
If you just want to put music in a Playlist, just create one, give it a name. Then drag the music from the "music" list to the playlist. It copies the information there. And when you sync the Playlist to your iPhone, all the music goes.
It's truly easy, but there is a bit of a learning curve until you're good at it. Keep asking questions here, everyone will help you. But do read the Apple documents, they lay out pretty straightforward.
