How you might restore your printing abilities
To those having problems printing after updating with 10.5.2 try the following it worked for me.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences and click Print & Fax.
Hold down the Control key as you click in the Printer list, and choose “Reset printing system” from the pop-up menu that appears.
Add the printers you use.
I had spent hours trying everything else, but this worked like a charm. Donald Palmer gave the great advice.
I am getting the exclamation point and the folder on the IPOD. When I hook it up, I get a device message on my desktop that it does nt recognize the device. When I try the updater, it recognizes it as an IPOD and even displays the serial number. However, the updater ran for about 8 hours yesterday and nothing happened.
I am not even able to erase using the disk utility.....unless you have any other suggestions, I am off to the MAC store to get them to fix it. It's a 4GB Mini and I have only owned it for a year.

when i connect my mobile with pc companion there's a update of 15.3.A.1.12 for Xperia L. But as usual for all user the update from pc companion becomes very slow while the update from update center from mobile means wireless update is comfortable and fast. But there is no update (15.3.A.1.12) seen in update center.

Can you say how long will it take for the update (15.3.A.1.12) to come to the update center (wireless update) ?

i have no "print" icon to click onto which enables me to print. how can i restore the print icon?
You can get the icon back by:
Click on the Firefox icon, then: View > Toolbars > Customize and drag the PRINT icon to wherever you want.
Or you can also use: File > PRINT
and CTRL + P -
what do you need to do to get your pictures that you took awhile ago back on your iphone 4s after you just restored your phone it? it says "downloading" but wont give me any of my pictures back that i took awhile ago. You would have received a prompt telling you that you didn't have sufficient space to beck up your phone if that was the case. Also, not everything on your phone is stored in the backup so you wouldn't need 11.7GB to back it up. You can see the size of your backup by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your phone under Backups and look under Options.
If it says "downloading" it's probably still downloading your pictures from iCoud. Check Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup at the bottom to see the status of the restore process. -
i have problem with my i pad mini i tried to update my i pad then the download corrpted then the itones said that you most restore your device then i accept but its start extracting software above then veriving restore with i pad finaly its said the i pad cannot be restored....etc SORRY FOR MY BAD ENG

I understand that the mods here can't possibly reply to everyone who has a post pulled for ToU. One can vaguely try to contact an administrator indirectly, perhaps, by posting here. (When this takes the form of a "why was my post pulled" post, this usually starts a discussion of some kind, which may or may not have any value, but which almost always fails to elicit any direct participation of the Hosts, and gives the impression, at least, it's being completely ignored by them.)
Since there is no way of directly contacting an administrator, either for ToU or for any other reason, which this appears to suggest is possible, why not just get rid of it?>...although the OP's question still remains....

If you got the email with content for the "final straw" post, which was mine, then you will know what I wrote. I already had one post pulled in that thread for a ToU and I did receive the obligatory email for that. I did not receive an email for the "final straw" post. Just the entire thread got pulled almost immediately at that point.
Everything I am writing here now is deliberately being veiled and obscured to the limit possible without losing all meaning and just turning this into noise. No one who didn't receive that email content for my post will have any very clear idea what this is all about.
My "final straw" comments related to several things: some copyright issues concerning the site under discussion; the ToU of that site as, in fact, necessarily prohibiting even the linking of content from that site, and an attempt to differentiate, in general, between what is illegal and what is a violation of the ToU, and not illegal, as such, for any service on any site. I'm not opening all of that up again here, since whatever it was I wrote will probably just get this post pulled.
All I can say is I attempted assiduously to stay clear of the Apple ToU violation for which I was cited by the Apple email in my earlier post which was pulled -- or any ToU violation, for that matter. I was not discussing Apple's policies, nor was I giving "forbidden" instructions. That the entire thread got pulled has to make me think that straying into those waters -- perhaps, my discussion of copyright issues in regard to the behavior of the other site under consideration, especially, made someone very nervous. Or maybe it was something other than that. But I will never know.
In any case, "You might contact your administrator if you think...." is genuinely silly, and unless it's somehow ineradicable from the Jive template -- I see now Meg has given that as a possible reason -- I can't see why it shouldn't be removed.

Error message on ipad when we tried to download images to computer. 'Itunes has detected an ipad in recovery mode. You must restore your ipad before it can be used with iTunes. It downloaded some images prior to this message and we selected skip any files with errors.
Ipad now just showing apple image with power cord. Don't want to click restore and lose all data.Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

If you can, open iTunes on your PC, go to Store in toolbar and select deauthorize this computer. Shut down iTunes and reinstall your OS.
If you can't access your iTunes account on your PC, you'll have to reinstall Windows then install iTunes again. Log into your iTunes Store account within iTunes itself and clear all authorized computers, then authorize each computer individually again.

~ means your Home directory. Using the command above takes you to the Home directory on the boot drive. Your backup files are now on another drive in a directory that used to be your Home but is now a subfolder of Users so you have to specify that drive after the /Volumes, then the user name, then the rest to go there
I use OSX 10.4.11 and on it the libraries are still visible. There's two at least. One general one at the top level of the boot drive and another for each user (the one with the ~). I think they made at least one of them invisible with newer OS versions. -
How do you get your contacts back once you have restored your phone?
It was stated that I needed to update my phone, so I hooked into Itunes like it stated. I did and a message popped up stating that it was in recovery mode and I had to restore it first so I did. Now that it has updated and been restored, I don't have anything left on there such as my contacts, music, etc. the main thing I need are my contacts. Is there any way I can get them back without having to put each one in there manually?
Backing it up is what you are suppose to do regularly, But, trying to save them via backup means you have to restore your phone in itunes and that is probably not the way to do this. You can search on google for an app that may exist to save these ( if there is one, that would be the best way ) or you can take screen shots of your text and email them or just keep them on your camera roll. Im pretty sure if you google, you will find something to help you save them, most likely the deleted ones are gone tho.

Here's how you can get your Fox 25 back.
You'll need to live close enough to Needham to pick up the off-air signal and you'll also need an antenna, which you can pick up at your local radio shack or best buy. After you pick up your off-air antenna and connect directly it to your HDTV, go into your TV's setup menu using your televisions original remote control, change the antenna type to "Off-Air" or "antenna" (as opposed to "Cable" or "QAM") and then select scan to find free off-air channels. Once you've tuned WFXT, you're ready to use your FiOS TV remotes "TV Input/AV" button (in the bottom left corner of the FiOS TV Remote) to switch between WFXT off-air and your FiOS TV settop box. If you are close enough to the transmitter you may not even need an antenna as a length of coax might be enough. -
What do you do if your ipod begins to restore itself but you unplug it and its frozen. Your computer does't even detect the ipods plugged in so you can't finish restoring it.

If you have sync'd / transferred the songs to iTunes prior to the restore (they would be listed under iTunes Store or within your library if so) then you can easily sync these across. If, however, you don't you will need to get in contact with iTunes Store Support so as that they can look at possibly reauthorising a download of them for you.
As an aside, with any purchases you ever make regularly backup and transfer the purchases from your device to your computer. That way you shouldn't lose them
