Howdy all, anyone know how to not get a text alert while on a call ?

Does anyone know how to set the iphone 4GS so that you don't get a text alert during calls? But when your not on a call the text alerts sound. Also can you use you music as a ringtone or caller id? Seems like every phone can do these options but iphones.

There's no phone setting to silence alerts during phone calls. You can suggest this to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Your only option at this point is to connect the device to a computer running iTunes so you can restore it.

You have to just sign in with your Adobe Id during the installation process and it will validate your subscription from the activation server. Once your Id is validated then your subscription will be activated. You don't need serial number to activate subscription.

I believe you may be referring to the $49 ASL agreement at AppleCare? That is only when/if you are out of AppleCare Protection.
Can you get to an AppleStore Genius Bar?
They may be able to fix this for you. No charge.
I highly doubt that. There is a $70 charge for troubleshooing software issues, EVEN IF there is AppleCare Warranty on the hardware.
However, since there is no charge for an appointment at a Bar, go make one, and see what options they give you. Let us know how it goes.

Does anyone know how i can get the older versions of the ipod software on my nano because my nano had a feature that when i held down the menu button for a couple of seconds, the backlight turned on.......well ever since i downloaded the most recent software, everytime i hold down the menu button, it goes directly to the menu(which im not very enthusiastic about). i agree with you 100%, i really want that feature back! it was so useful being able to turn the backlight on and off whenever i wanted. unfortunately im in the same boat as you are as i dont know how to get the old software

10.9 is free, so you could upgrade to that if you wished
if that's not an option for software compatibility reasons, you'd either need to re-install it from the original disks (that came with the computer, or a seperate iLife disc), a backup, or purchase a boxed version from someplace like eBay or Amazon (Amazon has iLife '11 for $39)

My MacBook has been "moving to trash" 4 items for a LONG time now. I can't force quit this or stop it in any way. Does anyone know how I can get this to stop, I'm pretty sure its slowing my whole system down because it is constantly working on this.

Okay so I asked someone from apple and they said that the software update icon is gone but its functions have been merged with the app store icon on the settings menu. Crisis averted haha!
