HOWTO Automator: Add filename to PDF header?

I have a list of PDF files to which I would like to add a text (filename of the PDF file) in a header of that same file (with white background box if possible). It is a sort of a watermark but with dynamic text.
For example 234.pdf > add "234.pdf" to a header of the 234.pdf > save changes

This workflow works for me

Hi,
Thanks for the quick response.
The problem is that when I keep the logo as a watermark, the pdf is not adjusting itself to include the logo as header.
But if I add a header text via Tools -> Headers and Footers, the pdf is adjusting itself so that the header text is at the beginning , not overlapping with the contents of pdf.
But while using logo as watermark, some times overlapping of the pdf contents and logo is happening.
Is there any way to add a logo in the Header and Footer via the option in Tools -> Headers and Footers

How can i add filename on a document in pages 5.1 ?

I am allways using a template to make documents, that I save under different names. How can I add the (changed) filename in the footer of a saved document ?
It is important to me to print the filename on document, to find and edit it on my mac later.
In MS Word it is easy to automaticaly add filenames, path, author and other filedata to the document. I can't find how to do that automatically in Pages templates.
I saw earlyer answers to this question on this community, but they don't work as I expect, or only on earlier versions of pages..... I trust there is an easy way to do this.
Can someone help me please ?

That function, present in "Pages 09" (i.e. Pages 4.3) , was not included in Pages 5.0-5.1. (Nor were nearly 100 other such features, from mail merge and bookmarks to non-contiguous text selection, 2-up page viewing and the ability to set alternating left/right margins, headers & footers.Version 5.1 is also notably buggy. One work around, or partial work around, is to click the file name at the top of the window document. You can then select the filename, copy it and paste it whereever you like. As far as I can see, however, there is no way to include the path: all you get is the filename and extension.

Use this UDF to retreive the file name from the Dynamic Configuration Payload in the mapping.
getFileName(UDF) -
> Filename(node in the target structure).

Create a node in the target structure top hold the filename returned by the UDF.
Now your payload will have the filename along with the actual data.
U can use the variable substution now as u use for the other data in the payload since the filename is now a part of your payload.

How to add Images and PDFs in MDM iView

Hello!
We use SAP Portal as interfase to access SAP MDM repository tables.We use MDM Record Set and MDM Item Detail iViews to display and operate with main table content.
There is a field in the qualified table, which is the lookup to the Images table. And the other field is the lookup to the PDFs table. Both fields are qualifiers.
In the main table there is a field, which is the lookup to the qualified table. When we try to add values to this field using Item Detail iView, we get a window, where we can fill all values of the qualified table, except Image field and PDF field - they are disabled. So, can we add Images and PDFs to the table using Item Datail iView? Or what is the other way to add them?

iPads sync to 1 computer only.
All media and apps are tied to the Apple ID that purchased them.
Without your relatives ID and password, you cannot update any of the Apps.
I am pretty certain he is also violating Apples terms of service by giving you the apps.

How do I automatically insert a file's filename in a header in the file?

The newest version of NUMBERS seems to have lost the function for inserting a filename into the header of a printed document. Any suggestions?

I miss that feature too. A workaround would be to Command-Click the document name in the Print Preview window and select the second line in the file path that is displayed. That will cause a Finder Window to open, with the current Numbers file highlighted. Click once on the highlighted document name, Command-C to Copy, Click back on the Numbers window and click in the Header field and Command-V to Paste.
This avoids all typing into the header, but the result is just a piece of text, not an object that will automatically update. It seems that if we want all the functionality of iWork '09, we must choose to use iWork '09.

Without too many gory details, I am using excel to concatenate some data to dynamically build a hyperlink to these extraced files. It casues me problems, however, for the space to be the the file name. Is there any way to change the default behavoir of this function to perhaps use a dash or underscore instead of a space?

No, you can't change the default naming scheme. You can do it yourself if you extract the pages using a script instead of using the built-in command.

Please take a look at my reply there on Mar. 29, 2007. I am not sure but i assume that you are using Web Dynpro for Java. Attachment capability is available with NW04s SP10 (both runtime and NWDS). Although, SP09 contains the required web dynpro runtime changes but the API has only been made part of SP10. Follow the note numbers provided therein.

In MS Outlook 2010 Add in Create pdf- does not create pdf of draft emails- this maybe the case, but just wanted to make sure this is normal for the program- though I guess one can print as an Adobe pdf but it does not maintain the hyperlinks of email addresses etc. the functionality is compromised in a print vs create a pdf.

Here's a workaround by the team:
Right click on the message from Explorer list view or folder view and chose the option to convert to PDF.

Can't seem to add artwork to pdf files

In the "Books" tab, I can add artwork to epub books, but I can't seem to add artwork to pdf files. Is this a normal thing? Or is there something I'm doing wrong?
Also, do you know what I should be setting my page widths to if I want the pdf files I create to display nicely in Portrait mode on an iPhone? The ones I made seem to only look nice in Landscape mode.

Devin, If they end in .ogg, they are OGG Vorbis files. This is a well-known open-source music format, but iTunes is unable to play it.
Also, as you have just learned, when iTunes encounters a file that is not copmatible, it "errors silently," i.e. gives no indication of what they problem is.
To resolve it, use a 3rd party conversion program such as Switch to convert the OGG files into MP3, and then they will add to iTunes.
