Hi I'm looking for some keyboard shortcut that are Mac but I want PC. Here they are:
    ATL + shift + l
    ATL + q
    ATL + a
    ATL + shift + e
    ATL + z
    ATL + x
    ALT + SHIFT + g
    ALT + SHIFT + f
they are for mac I them would like for pc... Thank you

Ah, thanks. Goes to show how carefully I look at keyboards these days...
So Opt(alt) on the Mac should map to Alt on PC.
It would actually be helpful if the OP told us waht the shortcuts were meant to do...
And there's always the help files. A complete list of default shortcusts is at http://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/default-keyboard-shortcuts.html

  • Some keyboard shortcuts in Mail OS 10.9 don't work

Some keyboard shortcuts no longer work. Such as [option page-down] for moving down a page at a time of email subjects. Control Page Down doesn't work either. Others are wacky and give different results such as Function right arrow does the same thing as End and Function left arrow does the same thing as Home which is a bit redundant.
Did they change to a different combination of keystrokes are were they left out? Thanks to anyone that can find out.   -Derryl

  • Why do some keyboard shortcuts just stop working?

Since upgrading to Lion, some of my keyboard shortcuts - especially one for Mail - just stops working now and then and the only thing I can figure out to fix it is to restart the macbook.
The main one I've had trouble with is ⌘+ enter to send a message.
It seems (unreal, I know) that certain messages disable it in replies.
Any other way you can think of to reset the keystroke other than restarting?
    Thanks

    Hi there
Sounds like the project has somehow become corrupt. You may need to create a new project and copy/paste slides. You may also find that this will transfer over the issue. So it could be limited to a specific slide or even a single object on a slide.

  • Some keyboard shortcuts are not working

I have found a few keyboard shortcuts that don't work, no matter what you set the shortcut to. I only found two, and they are "Show Desktop", and "Show Launchpad". I have set them to many different combinations, none of which seem to work. every once in a while, it will work, but after my computer goes to sleep, it doesn't work again. It only works some of the times after I restart or shutdown. When I open the shortcut tab under the keyboard settings menu, it always defaults to the screenshots tab, and I don't know if this is a bug or not.

there may be a conflict with some system-level shortcuts, for instance the shortcuts in the System Prefs for Dashboard and Expose default to F9, F10, F11, which will supersede the default FCP shortcuts for insert, overwrite, and replace edits.
Check your keyboard layouts in FCP - if the shortcuts are assigned, then check those two System Prefs panes (keyboard, Dashboard & Expose) for system-level shortcuts that might be conflicting.

  • InDesign CC - some keyboard shortcuts not working

Some of the keyboard shortcuts are not working.
Tab (shift-cmd-T) works once after selecting it from the menu thereafter it don't work until you select it from the menu again.
    Align text:
    Left (shift-cmd-L) don't work
    Right (shift-cmd-R) works
    Centre (shift-cmd-C) works
    Justified (shift-cmd-J) works
Is it just me or is anyone else having the same issue

good tip. i didn't even know that existed but sadly the default set has [none defined].
Screen Mode: Preview --- [none defined]
    I'm also a Mac running Mac OS X 10.8.4.
Do you know if there is a way to replace or update the default set without manually editing each messed up/missing one? I have never made my own shortcuts and would hate it if InDesign CC makes me go in and and assign them. So I'm guessing my default set is messed up. Here's a link to the txt file that opened when I had [Default] set selected and clicked Show Set. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/632538/DefaultSet-of-Indesign-shortcuts_seems-wrong.tx t

  • Some Keyboard Shortcuts No Longer Working in Apps

Recently, two specific keyboard shortcuts have stopped working within all my apps:
    command-1
    command-2
For example, in Final Draft they are supposed to switch formatting to become scene headings and action lines, respectively.  All the other command shortcuts still work.  In Word, I have command-1 through command-6  commands set to change text colors.  Command-1 and command-2 no longer work but the rest stil function properly.
All of my shortcuts worked perfectly for well over a year.  Anyone know why two of them might have stopped all of a sudden?
    Thanks in advance,
    ---Tim

Ignore the permissions messages, as per http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1448
    Here's the second way:
While logged into the newly created admin account, backup the bad account's folder, delete the bad account, selecting the save data option (which is stored in /Users/Deleted Users/ as a disk image), recreate the bad account using the same username/password combo, log out and back into the recreated original account. If the problem's solved, open the saved data dmg file in /Users/Deleted Users/, open the /Library/Preferences/ folder from the saved data, open the current /Users/restored account/Library/Preferences/ folder, and slowly copy plist files from the saved data folder to the current one that don't exist in it. Log out and back in to ensure there's no conflict and things still work correctly. Resolving conflicts or identifying corrupt plist files is a laborious process. Good luck.

  • Jumping back and forth, probably because some keyboard shortcut.

this is the 3rd time i m typing this is it keeps going back for no obvious reason. i wrote that i think it go something to do with the backspace button as it is used for going back, but sometime it does it without the backspace. just minute ago i started typing "happening" and it jumped 3 pages back. sometimes it causes what i wrote to disappear, anyway, it drives me nuts.

  • Keyboard shortcuts in SAP GUI Java on Mac OS X

    Hi,
I'm running SAP GUI for Java 7.20 rev 2 on Mac OS X 10.6.3.
Everything is working fine, except for some keyboard shortcuts.
I'm used to the Ctrl-F1 and Ctrl-F2 shortcuts when working on ABAP code, but these shortcuts do not work. It seems like OS X is overriding them or something. The Ctrl-F3 or Shift-F1 and others are working fine though.
I've tried disabling all keyboard shortcuts in the OS X system settings, but that didn't solve the problem.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply mriddoch, please leave another reply if you manage to figure it out
In the meantime I've switched to working with Parallels running a copy of Windows 7 and the windows SAP GUI.
Parallels allows me to use Mac keyboard shortcuts (such as cmd-c cmd-v etc.) inside the virtual Windows system (mapped to their corresponding windows keyboard shortcuts).
You can also map your own shortcuts, so currently I've mapped cmd-f1,-f2 and-f3 to respectively ctrl-f1, -f2 and -f3 (for the ABAP workbench), which makes things feel more natural on my Mac when writing ABAP code.
    Here's a screenshot of the mapping: [http://web.me.com/rvanmil/Screenshots/parallels_keyboard_shortcuts.png]

  • FCP Studio 7 keyboard shortcut problems

I have had to re-load my FCP7 Studio after a hard drive failure, it's now running under OSX 10.8.5 since the rebuild of the iMac's system etc……However I now find some strange things going on with some keyboard shortcuts and time line actions and I am wondering if this is due to the newer OS or something else.
The first thing is that clips, video and sound tracks imported to the timeline as complete clips, do not lock together despite showing that they are "locked", i.e. underlined clip ID. To trim them I have to drag the tracks individually….that's odd and awkward.
Another thing is that the "lock / unlock all tracks" keyboard commands, shift F4 and shift F5 do not work on the sound video tracks together, and in fact shift F4 just brings up Dashboard, that's really annoying…Dashboard is something I'd love to kill anyway, but that's another story.
So any clues here, or is this just a result of upgrading the OS to Mountain Lion?
    Thanks in advance……..PM

    OK!
    problem SOLVED!!!
I've tried everything to fix this, partitioning the drive, installing previous OS on 2nd partition, re-installing FCP7 at least a couple of time. Dumped FCP Preferences, changed settings in the OS and FCP to no avail this past week or so. Been driving me nuts….
Then borrowed another keyboard from a friend, viola problem sorted!!
It was the keyboard all along, who would have guessed that?
The errant keyboard appears to work just fine, all keys work, no dead ones……but some now don't play nicely with others especially double tap ones, hence the keyboard commands in FCP got messed up and redirected to other functions. This is a first time for me, but a relief to be back to normal. Ordered a new keyboard yesterday.
Anyway, thanks for the help along the way….Peter

  • Gnome 3 - command for shutdown dialog (need for keyboard shortcut)

I'd like to create a keyboard shortcut for shutdown dialog; it's the dialog that appears when press your username (top-right corner) and then select "Shut down..." option. There was "gnome-session-save --shutdown-dialog" or something similar in Gnome 2 (or so it seems by reading forum posts), but the same command doesn't exist in Gnome 3.
I'm not rebooting or shutting down my OS a lot, but when I do, I'm automatically trying to press some keyboard shortcut.

I started digging around more and found this option in System Settings/Power: "When the power button is pressed: Ask me". But, it doesn't work for me, because OS doesn't detect power button on my thinkpad. So it seems that I have to install acpid, but I still need to know the command for Gnome's shutdown dialog.
    EDIT:

  • Some key shortcuts fail to work all the time

Since updating to OS 10.7.2, some keyboard shortcuts don't always work.
Since I prefer most of the time not to have the previous page shown when an app opens again, I close the window before quiting. I use CMD-W but often it will not work at all or at least might take 2 or more attempts. When this happens, I use the Close Window on the file menu will work as does clicking on the red dot.
What is happening? Is this a Lion update problem?

    See if this helps.
    Calibrate the home button
    1. Open a stock iOS app, such as Contacts
    2. Press & hold the sleep/wake button at the top of your device until the red slider control appears.
    3. Immediately release the sleep/wake button and press & hold the home button. Hold until the red slider disappears.
If that didn't work, describe what constitutes "doesn't seem to work all the time". More details .....

    Hi,
I don´t know if i might changes accidentally some keyboard shortcut or so, but when having some text select and going Cmd+- to zoom back, it does zoom back but also jumps to Page 32. I did not know there was a shortcut for something like Go to X page. Where is it? i need to change it it is very annoying.
By the way, that happens when i do Cmd+- twice quickly...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

My guess is that you may accidentally be pressing the page up key with
another finger than the one you're pressing the hyphen key with. This
would give you the Go Back command (Layout menu) in addition to the
    zoom out.

  • Keyboard shortcut: set a comment status

    Hi All,
I would like to know if some keyboard shortcuts exist to update the "status" of a comment.
Anytime I review a document with a lot of comments, actually it's not really efficient to change the status of each comment using the mouse. It would be much more effective to do it through some keyboard shortcuts.
I have gone through the documentation, but I have not found nothing about this kind of functionality.
Does anyone know if some keyboard shortcuts exist to change the comment status?
    Thanks in advance,
      Rosario

That's not really a "Corel" function, but rather built-in into Windows (and in MS-DOS before that).
Natively, the Mac uses the 'dead accent key' approach for the usual accented characters, i.e., with the default US keyboard, you can press Opt+e once to get a highlighted acute accent; then enter any 'regular' character -- for the acute, those are é, í, ó, á, ú, but not ń.
The keyboard map utility shows a fair selection of accents (highlighted) and other fairly recurrent characters.
To be able to insert any character at all:
You can add full Unicode support to your Mac keyboard in the System Preferences: go to Language & Text, section Input Sources. Scroll down the list of languages to the "U"; select "Unicode Hex Input". The menu bar will gain an extra icon, with a little flag showing your current input method (mine is a US flag, meaning I now have the standard key mapping). If you click the little flag or use some hot key, you can toggle to another input method, and if you checked in the above, you can select "Unicode Hex". Then you can enter any Unicode character at all by holding down Opt and entering the 4 hex digits of the character you need. The ń above has the code 0144, another example would be Greek Alpha α -- 03b1.
For French (and a selection of other Western Europe languages), full Unicode may be a bit of an overkill; you probably have all the accents you ever need right at your fingertips with the default kb settings: Opt+e (acute), Opt+i (circumflex), Opt+u (dieresis), Opt+c (c-cedilla), Opt+n (tilde), and Opt+` (grave).

  • [INFO] Not so well known things about LR keyboard shortcuts

    Hi,
There are a few things that you should know about keyboard shortcuts in LR.
I already posted information about this last year for non english speaking
users but I had to be more accurate because this is of interest for english
    speaking users as well.
This information can help solve some problems encountered if
    - you are using an english version of LR with a non-english keyboard layout
    - you are using a non english version of LR
    - you want to change some keyboard shortcuts even when using the english
    version
    - you want to fix some bugs in the localized keyboard shortcuts
    Here we go...
    1. When using a non english version of LR, the translations are read from a
file named \Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
2\Resources\fr\TranslatedStrings.txt. The localized keyboard shortcuts are
    also described in this file.
    2. For the english version \Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
2\Resources\en\TranslatedStrings.txt doesn't exist by default because the
default values for texts and keyboard shortcuts are hard-coded.
    3. Any change in TranslatedStrings.txt, including changes related to
keyboard shortcuts, will be taken into account after reloading LR. These
changes will also be reflected in the Help Panel that is displayed when you
use the Help | Shortcuts command.
    5. So if you are using a localized version or the english version of LR (see
next point), you'll be able to change the default keyboard shortcuts.
    4. Some keyboard shortcuts of the english version are unreachable when using
a keyboard with a foreign layout. You're not stuck, however. Nothing
prevents you from creating a TranslatedStrings.txt file in \Program
Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2\Resources\en. This file doesn't need
to be the full translation file. It just has to include all the lines ending
with Key=xxxxx + a few additional ones (or just the lines related to the
shortcuts that you want to change). You can download a full sample with
    french shortcuts from http://www.mainsoft.fr/Files/LR/TranslatedStrings.txt
. Just create the file, edit the shortcuts as you want and reload LR. I
don't know how you can add comments to this file.
    5. Attn french users: there's a bug described in the thread titled "Missing
shortcut in Lightroom 2.2 french". You'll be able to fix it by using the
information above (this is also described in the thread itself).
So that's it. LR doesn't offer you a keyboard shortcut editor - something
unexpected for a software at that price level - but you can edit them
    anyway.
    Enjoy!
    Patrick

    Hi,
This post is still valid for LR3. It's a pity that this new version
still doesn't have a built-in keyboard customization feature.
I shoul add a few additional details, though.
    - You have to create the \en subfolder yourself. Once created and once you have also created the TranslatedStrings.txt file, it will be taken into account.
    - It appears that the TranslatedStrings.txt files corresponding to each supported language do not contain the same commands. For some languages, some commands do not have any shortcut (or the translator was not concentrating on his job and the quality assurance dpt. just missed the point). So if you don't find the line(s) related to the shortcut that you want to customize in the file corresponding to your language, look for it in the other files.
    - Some characters can't be used for customizing a shortcut, even if they are not already used for another shortcut. It depends on each local keyboard. I guess this is due to the very same problem that exists since LR 1.0: the program uses its own keyboard handler and fails to adapt to keyboards that are not corresponding to the selected language. From the beginning, many of us european users have told to Adobe that a user can select in LR a working language that is not corresponding to the keyboard and country settings used on the system. This is a common situation. They are just ignoring the problem.
