Howto integrate s2ram with KDE Powerdevil?

Hi,
I have a Sony VGN-FW53GF which runs Arch incredibly well. The only thing I would like to get going is suspend to ram/disk when I close the lid.
At the moment if I suspend to ram, it does, but on resume black screen ... have to reboot.
I installed "pacman -S uswsusp" so that I could use the user space s2ram utility .... and that works great, I just do a "s2ram -f" and it suspends/resumes
just great .. doesn't even break my wireless or sound (I have to add the -f parameter because my laptop is not on the "whitelist" ...yet).
My question is: How do I get KDE Powerdevil manager to use s2ram instead of whatever it uses to suspend.
Is there a script someplace that I can plugin a call to s2ram?
I have searched the forum to no avail.

With either resume or uresume, it makes no difference
You have to use the uresume hook with uswsusp and remove the resume one and resume kernel parameter, that's how it is, do it.

.. if you are really using uswsusp and this powerdevil thing is not pulling your nose. I can't even be certain you are using uswsusp (or using it properly) so I will stop wandering in the dark.
Play a detective. Suspend with s2ram. Then enable uswsusp in pm-utils and suspend with pm-suspend. Then if that works go to powerdevil...
Yes, I am using uswsusp properly, how else did you thing I could do a successful "s2ram -f" from the console ..
The issue is: If powerdevil uses pm- utils, and pm-utils calls "s2ram --force" in it's script, why is it not working just as running it from the console .... that is the only issue I have ..
are we clear?
EDIT: Update, pm-suspend has the same problem ... black screen ...

Acer d250 sleep | How can I use s2ram in kde menu?

My first post ; )
I am running kdemod on my acer aspire one d250-1165, I am having an issue with stock kde suspend-to-ram, after resuming from a suspend-to-ram the system comes back aparently normal, everything seems to be working, but the screen flickers once in a while, and will eventually freeze the screen.
s2ram works fine with -f -a 1 parameters, but I can not figure out how to integrate this in kde, I do not know which method kde uses to suspend, Is there a way to make it set the acpi_sleep parameter?
I need some pointers to figure this out. Thanks for your atention.

I have the following line in my .xinitrc:
/usr/bin/xmodmap -e "keycode 133 = F30" &
...where keycode 133 is my win key. I assign it to F30 (it can be any number besides 1-12, I guess), and then it's just a matter of configuring escape key (in your case, it'll be kde start menu) to F30.

Introduction
The Nvu WYSIWYG web editor is available on two flavors: the standard build which do not require KDE, and another one which use KDE to provide mimetypes icons on the Site Manager. This thread supports only the KDE mimetypes version. For the non KDE version, look here.
Below is a comparison picture of both Site Managers so you can compare and decide then which version do you want to install.
Note: Both packages share the same directory structure, which means only one of them can be installed at the same time. That's the reason a conflict restriction exists between them.
Pre Install Notes
1. If upgrading from 0.80 or earlier, remove the .nvu dir in your home folder. Already have 0.90 or later? Can keep your dir and settings.
2. Look the Change Log at the botton for a summary of the changes.
Installation
1. Grab a gziped tar from on AUR site here, or the splited files below:
a. PKGBUILD
b. mozconfig
c. nvu.desktop
d. mozilla-1.7.3-ft2.patch or get it from /var/abs/network/mozilla-firefox (or mozilla-thunderbird)
e. nvu-0.70-domainfix.patch
f. launcher.patch
g. mozilla-ext
h. nvu-browser-ext
i. nvu-1.0PR-kdesitemanager.patch
j. nvu-nonroot.tar.gz
2. Create the folder to store the files with the name nvu-kde on your abs/local folder

# cd /var/abs/local/nvu-kde && makepkg
5. Install the package

Post Installation & Enhancements
After installing Nvu and recommended prior to its first execution, but can be done anytime, visit this link which allow the normal user to add themes & extensions to Nvu and in fact, to all mozilla product line installed on your computer.
This step will not be included on the package until the changes explained on that HOWTO became adopted by other Arch mozilla packages.
Troubleshooting:
Click the icon and doesn't run: Run it from the console, and if you got a loop message with the phrase "Loading the extensions datasource", then as root type:
$ nvu -register
and run nvu again as a user, and report your sucess or failure here.
Loading the extensions datasource message on shell: Look above for the workaround.

In addition to the updated version, I made the following enhancements or changes to the package:
1. Remove some locale directories bundle with nvu which belongs to mac and windows architectures.
2. Added a mozilla-ext script which is execute a predefined browser either when the browse button is pressed or a hyperlink from the help menu entries is clicked. Previous versions do nothing on those actions. The default browser is firefox, but the file can be edited if your current browser is other. Just edit /opt/mozilla/bin/mozilla-ext, comment the first browser which is firefox, and uncomment the one you want to use.
3. The most important in terms of usage and future package maintenance is the replacement of the nonroot.tar.gz file with the -register option. That change takes out the most difficult and time consuming patch of the package. That means faster releases.
Since many changes were done to the package, please test it and post any success or failure.

When KDE shows a alert the alert's sound sounds with delay. 3-5 seconds.
Same happens with kde start.
Can anybody help me?

Is it possible to Integrate dos with Java to create a sample compiler?

Is it possible to Integrate dos with Java to create a sample compiler, or do I have to write the compiler from scratch? In theory, I would like to have users enter sample code in a java text field, hit a java button that would compile/run the code, by calling a dos command prompt that would run it, and display any error messages back to the java text field. Does anyone know if this is possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a Compiler class you might be able to use also:
C:\jdk1.3.1_01\docs\api\java\lang\Compiler.html
So perhaps there is no need to create a process to compile code. But I don't know if you can get information about compiler errors.

I am new to DRM and I have a requirement in which we want to integrate DRM with third party tool(lets say SQL table) as target and load metadata from DRM (Parent node, name , alias etc) to SQL table (same column name)
Is there any way we can integrate DRM to export the same to table directly instead to files. If yes what are the steps we have to follow.

1. Use DRM Export to Table option, for that create an External Connection first for the Target Database and select the respective Tables to which you wish to Export the Hierarchy information.
2. You can perform most of the DRM Actions via the DRM_BATCH_CLIENT.exe.
Please refer to Using the Data Relationship Management Batch Client of DRM User guide.

Actually I found the same code for integrating JavaFX with JSF, which you have linked, but I show it afterwards. Anyways, thanks for your kind support.
The other interesting thing I found is, interaction between JavaFX and JSF.
You can interact between JavaFX and JSF like the following way.
You just give the id in the script in which you have defined the parameters of applet to run in browser with JSF or any language like this;

When workflow has been installed, it should definitely say that it was installed successfully.
Also for WF to integrate with files successfully there are several additional languages that need to be installed.

We would like to use CostIron which is ingegration solution (connect, transform and load) and claim that it requires no coding but configuration.
it means we should not require ODI for integrating essbase with Oracle EBS.
Please advice as you have deep insight in Hyperion.
