HP "02" ink cartridges replaced by "363" ones

I have a Photosmart 3200 which takes 02 ink cartridges.  These are now obsolete and have been replaced by 363 cartridges, but when I load the 363 cartridges, the printer will not accept them as it realises that they are not 02 which it is expecting.
As a result, I can no longer print anything since one of the colours is empty, I can not buy 02 cartridges any more, and the printer will not accept the replacement 363 cartridges.  How can I rectify this problem please?.

Hi - The problem your running into is the fact that the printer is regionalized and will only accept ink cartridges from the region it was purchased in.  If it was originally accepting 02 cartridges, you'll need to contact HP Support who can perform a one time "reset" so that the printer will accept the cartridges (363) from the country you're currently living in.
Hope that helps.

    Hello schrec,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you have some questions regarding Instant Ink, I would like to do my best to answer them for you. You will get separate notifications for each cartridge.
Once you install the first Instant Ink cartridges, the account is now active. There fore, it is best to install both inks into the printer. To store your opened cartridges, this guide should proved the best means of doing so.

  • Ink Cartridge replacement

How do I get my unopened ink cartridge replaced? My old printer has just died and likely I am going to buy a new HP if I can get new ink by sending back the unused cartridges.

    Hey @manfredRo,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're interested in swapping out an unopened ink cartridge for an ink cartridge that would be compatible with your new printer. What I would suggest at this point is to contact our HP Technical Support queue by phone to see if there are 'swap' options available to you.
HP Technical Support can be reached at:  800-474-6836.

  • Office jet 6310 ink cartridge replacement

I own an inkjet 6310 all in one printer and i needed to replace my ink cartridges.  i currently have a black 337 and a color 343 in the printer.  the replacement cartridges per hp is now black 95 and color 98.  when i intall the new ones, i get an error message that the 95/98 cartridges are not the correct cartridge.  i can't find 337/343 anywhere.  i even bought another set of 95/98 to see if it was a cartridge problem and it didn't work.  Any ideas?
I bought the printer about 3-4 years ago.

Did you buy the printer in one country and then move to another?  If so you will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.  HP's web page on the subject is here.

  • Office Jet 8600 Pro gives repeated message of depleted ink after replacement with new ones

My OfficeJet 8600 Pro (n911a?) gives a repeated message of depleted ink levels (Cyan and Yellow) even after I have replaced them with genuine HP 951 ink cartridges. I am certain that I have installed them correctly (I have done this in the past with no problems) and I have turned the machine off and on again several times. I have checked firmware and software updates and it appears that everything is up to date. Any other thoughts?
    Thanks.

  • Office Jet 6500 E710n-z won't print black even just replace the ink cartridge with a new one.

It is the 3rd time to have problem on printing "black" even the ink is not empty (but the level is low, like a quarter left).  In the previous cases, I replaced the cartridge and the problem solved.
The 2nd time was last week.  After I changed the cartridge, it worked (for only 1 week) and the problem is back.  Since the ink is full this time and it worked well when I just changed it, I suspect this is the problem of my printer instead of the cartridge.
I did clean printhead and align printhead but the problem persist.  Please advice the solution.  Thanks!

Hopefully the printhead does not need replacing. I would look at this document on defective output for your printer model.  I know that some of the steps in here you have mentioned already performing. Please just read over/skip those and try the ones you have not yet performed.  It shows different ways to clean the printhead; if you just did the cleaning from the toolbox I would defiantly do the manual one. It also has a walk through to make sure that the products firmware is up to date.  Here is that link:  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02455482&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&la...

  • Ink Cartridge Replacement Order

When setting up my photosmart 6525 I read a brief statement somewhere along the way telling me that when I get a "low on ink" message, a new cartridge will be shipped to me. My question is, is this automatically shipped or can I opt out? I like shopping at a certain store in my town to buy my supplies and I don't want a cartridge via postal service. Thanks.

    @Philngroovy, Welcome to the forums!
I saw your post about how you read that if you are low on ink, a new cartridge would be shipped to you. I would like to ask you if you have enrolled in the Instant Ink program? Once I know if you have enrolled, we will go from there!

  • HP Desk Jet 1010 Printer will not recognize 61 HP Ink Cartridges

    Error Message reads:
    Ink Cartridge Problem
At least one of the cartrideges has a problem. Click help for more information. (There is no help button.)
If ink cartridges have been installed, check that the plastic tape covering the ink nozzeles has been removed. (They're brand new cartridges and yes the tape was removed.)
To order a genuine HP replacement cartridge online, click buy now. (I don't want to buy a new cartridge. I just did.)
This was a combo-pack with black and tri-color from Walmart. It's exactly the same one that was purchased before and it worked fine.
Is one of them just a defective cartridge? Is there a way to check this? If they're not defective how do I make my computer recognize that I have cartridges installed?

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve the cartridge error with your Deskjet 1010 printer.  See the section under "power light is blinking rapidly".  It is possible that reinstalling the cartridge or cleaning the cartridge contacts will resolve the issue.  If the steps there do not resolve the issue is is possible you have a defective cartridge.  If you still have the old cartridge you replaced I would suggest installing it in the printer just to verify the issue is with the cartridge and not the printer.  HP cartridges have a two year warranty  as described in the document here.  The cartridge is separate from the printer warranty.  You could call HP for a replacement (1-800-HPINVENt if you are in the US or Canada, elsewhere see the document here) or return the cartridges to Walmart for a replacement.

  • How do I override expired black ink cartridge error on d145

My All in One d145 printer started to show a black ink supply expired error.  I replaced the old black ink cartridge with a new one but it too is expired.  It was new and still in plastic so the ink should still be good.  When I get the error the message window says to hit enter and continue printing but then it just sits there (and doesn't print).  I have to cancel the print job to get back to the time and date window.  How can I override the expired ink supply error.
I have tried to reset the computer date but this doesn't work (seems like a lousy workaround anyway).  Neither does resetting the printer date (in fax settings).
I've read something about resetting the internal clock battery in the printer but am not sure if this will work on a d145 or how to do it.
I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO GO OUT AND BUY A NEW INK CARTRIDGE - the one I have now was new and in protective plastic.
HELP me to make it work.  And Thanks

This is the only place in the entire HP world that I have found any mention of expiry dates, the tables are what I have been looking for in relation to a deskjet 3050 and cartridge 301 which I am considering buying. Where can I access this information for the 3050/301 combination?
The ink expiration is only an issue for printers with separate ink supplies and printheads.  There is no expiration with the Deskjet 3050 or the 301 cartridge.   There is an "end of warranty" for these supplies as described here, but that is not an expiration.  The cartridges have a shelf life, for longest life in storage keep the package oriented as it would be hanging on a store display and keep away from heat sources during storage.  I have used similar cartridges years beyond their end of warranty without issues.

  • Black ink cartridge in my Photosmart c309g-m won't print

I have an HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m printer. The black ink was low so I replaced the cartridge with a brand new HP564 black ink cartridge (not the photo black ink cartridge).  The printer will not print the black ink cartridge since I replaced it. I have replaced it with a new black ink cartridge twice thinking that perhaps the first one was bad. I have shut down the printer as instructed and waited. I unplugged the power source and unplugged it from my computer. After waiting the instructed time period, I plugged everything back in, turned the printer back on and attempted to print again. The black ink cartridge still will not print. The color cartridges and the photo black  ink cartridge are printing. I have done several clean printhead routines. I even attempted an alignment (this has failed). Now since the alignment procedure has failed, the printer attempts the alignment every time I turn it back on. This procedure continues to fail since the black ink cartridge still won't print! I am wasting all my color and photo black ink! What can I do to correct this problem? The error messages that I received were Oxc19a0007 and  Oxc19a00013. I could not find any other solutions for this problem.

I have the same problem as redtailhawk, however no error messages.  I have an HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m printer/copier/scanner.  The cyan, magenta, and photo black cartridges were all low, so I replaced them with remanufactured HP564XL cartridges from 4inkjets.com, which apparently are from LD Products, which is on the labels on each cartridge.  These are what I already had installed, and have been using sucessfully for the past two years or so.   The printer will not print using the black ink cartridge since I replaced the other three cartridges.  I believe, actually, that I tried to put a document and only the color text printed before I replaced the three cartridges.  I tried another remanufactured black ink cartridge, thinking that the one I had installed might have become bad somehow. What I have tried:1. I cleaned the printheads from the printer network page, then did a 2nd deeper cleaning.2. I performed a hard reset by unplugging the printer while it was on, after it got finished performing all tasks, then plugged it back in 30-60 seconds later.3. I verified that all cartridges were properly vented.4. I soaked the printheads in hot water and noticed that quite a bit of ink flushed out of them.  However, when I reinstalled the printheads and cartridges, all my ink level went down at least 50%.  Before I removed the printhead, I also noticed that there was some black ink on the printhead that looks like it had leaked from the cartridge prossibly. When I run a print quality report or printer status report, I see that the black does not print at all; the other four cartridges all displays their levels.  Also, every time I try to align the cartridges, the alignment fails.  I do not get any error messages, though. I am running Windows 7 (x64) and printing via USB.  I also tried printing via bluetooth as well as using the web services printer, neither of which worked.  I also booted into Windows 8.1 (x64) RTM and attempted to print, but I'm having the same problem. Please advise me on what I can do to fix this problem, or if I have to buy another printhead.  Thank you greatly in advance. Not sure if these would be useful, but I've include my printer's device information pages and well as the usage report.

  • I changed the black ink cartridge - does not print

I changed the black ink cartridge to a refilled one, but as it did't work , changed it to a genuine one.  Now the printer does not print, though it seems to be working, all I get is plank pages.  I unplugged the printer, but it didn't help.  what can I do?
The genuine cartridge is new and has ink. I changed an other cartridge too  (blue) , but this one to a genuine one, and it is working if I copy/print coloured pictures.

  • Can I use the black ink cartridge only, & quit replacing the color cartridge when it's empty?

I have an HP Officejet 6210 all in one printer that takes color ink (#95) and black ink (#94).   I only want to print in black and white.   The color cartridges are more expensive and since I don't want to use them, I don't want to replace it.  Can I have the printer bypass the color cartridge (and the notifications that come with an emply cartridge) so it will allow me to use the black cartridge (#94) only and let the #95 sit there empty?  (ie it tries to print from there and I get the blank sheets...want to default it to the black ink cartridge 100% of time.)  I waste too much money on ink and wish to use the cheaper cartridge (#94) always.

Can't agree more. HP's strategy of getting more sells of its cartrige is notorious. It really drives consumers away. I am ditching my HP printer and getting a Brother instead.

  • Blurred Photo Printing after replacing ink cartridges

    Hi everyone,
First post on here! I have a PSC 1355, which has always printed very good quality photographs, until yesterday. The old HP ink cartridges (Tricolor and Photo) were both low on ink so I replaced them with new HP ones (identical models) and ran the alignment procedure. There were no messages to say the alignment failed, but now the photos are printing blurred as if the cartridges are not aligned. There appears to be a slight overrun of ink outside the border of the print, which suggests misalignment to me.
I put the old cartridges back and aligned them, but they now print blurred too. I reprinted a picture I'd previously printed to compare - the original print was pin sharp, but the new one is very blurred. I've cleaned the cartridges using the utility but no change. Paper is good quality HP photo paper, the same as I was using before. I haven't changed any other settings, print preferences, etc. Any ideas anyone??
    Thanks.

I am going to ask the very obvious question:
You did get each cartridge in the correct place?

  • Photosmart C7280 All-In-One won't recognize new black ink cartridge

Black ink was very close to running out, purchased a new one and replaced it. Now whenever I try and print something I get a popup that says: "Install new black ink cartridge if available. To continue with other colors, press Continue. Black color will be simulated. Text and photo quality will differ from those printed when using all cartridges. If empty ink cartridge is not replaced soon, all printing will stop. To cancel, press the Cancel button on printer."
I've tried turning it off and back on, taking all the cartridges out and putting them back in, etc. I printed a test page and black prints just fine, but whenever I try to print from Ctrl+P I get that error. How do I solve this problem?

Thank you for your updated information.
Since you are able to print from you computer and the printer isn't indicating this message, then I would recommend uninstalling the software. I will provide a HP document here to help you. (If this printer is connected by a USB cable, then please remove it from the computer.)
Next, please clean your Temp folder on your computer. I will provide a document on performing this step here.
Now, install the full feature software from the HP website here. Make sure you choose your correct operating system; Either 32 bit or 64 bit. I will also provide a HP document on Installing the Printer software; Either USB or Wireless Connection.
This should remove this error message you are receiving. Please let me know if you are still receiving the same message.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
