HP 1000 notebook shuts off in every 30 minutes

i've been experiencing a very weird problem in my hp 1000-1405TU notebook. My
notebook shuts down - not the "windows is shutting down" type, but immediate loos of power shut down. I thought it was shutting down because it was overheating, to eliminate the overheating option i installed SpeedFan and in some cases (idling, music, movies) temperature was about 50-60 Deg C. but i cleaned it with compressed air just in case. I thought it might be a virus (even though i have antivirus program), so i tried booting up in safe mode - same effect, tried leaving it in BIOS - same effect but then i noticed it is shutting down exactly 30 minutes after powering up. doesn't matter if i'm playing games, watching movies, listening to music or letting it idle - at 30min. mark it just powers off. i tested it on battery power, on main supply with and without battery - the effect is always the same. Hard Disk test - PASSED Memory Test - PASSED Battery Test - PASSED need help very badly

It is a security feature.
You did not mention it but are you using a movie player other than the provide DVD player or iTunes. For example VLC. If you are, for some reason OS X does not know what is going on, i.e. watching a movie, so it thinks you left. So, after 10mins it trys to log off. The annoying part is that it will not do a force log off if there are programs running. Well atleast it is annoying to me.

I cant find my pdf/ibooks on computer after backing up my iPad (they are on my iPad). Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes so I want to restore it. Dont want to lose my files from my iPad.

Actually I have 2 problems: I cant find my pdf/ibooks on computer after backing up my iPad (they are on my iPad). I looked under Ipad, I Books, PDFs, and it doesn't show them on the computer. How do I manually transfer these files?
Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes, and I want to restore it. I want to make sure all of the files are backed up before I restore. My trouble started when I was trying to update my IPad but it was taking too long (internet was scetchy) so I powered off...now Im having problems. I haven't tried to update again since this problem. Any suggestions? Should I restore? Should I update to 7.0.6? (currently 7.0.3).

I think the other devices are fine. I'm not sure. It usually only happens like a couple days out of the week. I do know that the network I'm using when I click on the wifi symbol at the top of my screen doesn't have a padlock on it. It IS MY network that is at my house, but maybe that has something to do with it.

IPad Personal Hotspot antenna shuts off after a few minutes of non-use. This happens in both Verizon 3G and LTE areas. Turning off LTE does not help. Turning Personal Hotspot off and then on works. Does this happen on Mini and Retina?

Fixed!
Two things together have restored connectivity.
1. I changed the name under Settings > General > About > Name from My Name's iPad to iPad of My Name. I read somewhere that iOS 7.0.1 or 7.0.2 (I forget which) sometimes had issues with apostrophes here. Easy enough to test.
2. I then reset (again) the APN settings under Settings > Cellular Data > APN Settings > Personal Hotspot and reentered our provider's info (APN, Username, Password) there.
I don't know WHY it worked, but the personal hotspot is now happily sharing (again) internet connectivity with my MacBook Pro.

I have an iPhone 5 that constantly shuts off after 5-10 minutes..

My iPhone 5, purchased on Amazon, used, constantly shuts off after 5-10 minutes of uptime right after a color fade. I got it to stay on but I just can't reboot it otherwise it'll happen again. But if I don't reboot it, my battery percentage will not update. I'm not sure if it's water damage or just a bad battery. I'm afraid to leave it charging overnight since the battery percentage doesn't budge and it'll just continue charging.

You should get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store and see if the battery needs to be replaced.
Did you check the moisture indicators to see if the device did get damaged by liquid?

Notebook shut off wont turn back on after battery tapped

I purchased 3 notebooks all are doing the same thing. If you set the down on any surface they shut off. One of them will not turn back on. I have switched batteries and charging cords. I don't see it as a recall but it's strange that all 3 are doing the exact same thing. Power cord when plugged in has a white light but no screen will turn on. Tried 2 different batteries and 2 power cords. I have tried just plugging in no battery only power cord and holding down power button, no change.I bought these last November 2014, I never had this problem will my Dell comouters. Anyone have any suggestions?? Very frustrated! These computers are barely used and don't leave the house, they are not abused.

Notebook shuts off while charging

hello, this is my first time posting. i have a HP special edition L2000/L2005CU. im having problems with charging my notebook while its on, it will shut off after about 10 mins of charging but the battery can be fully charged after it is shut off. i also tried to use only the AC power without the battery installed and still the same result. i have noticed my fan does not turn on, would charging it cause the thermal protection to shut off only while charging? Any advice would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

It won't hurt the battery in general but I like to keep it on the ac adapter when ever I can since using it off battery will use up battery cycles.

Pavilion dv7-3165dx Notebook shuts off @30% power

I purchased this laptop that I love and runs amazingly but started having a problem when the power isn't plugged in and running on battery. If the power goes down to 30% it just shuts off as if I had been pressing the power button! I checked the corresponding power options and is set to "Do nothing" when power level reaches critical and critical is set to 7%. For some reason the computer just overrides my settings and powers off at 30% charge level. I have left power management to hp recommended settings (Original) and have not tempered with anything else. Any ideas on how to resolve what appears to be a software issue as it is too much of a coincidence that it is precisely at 30% that it powers off and I'm afraid it will shorten the life of my HDD!!!

Now it's happening at 50%!!! It just shuts off at exactly 50% power and am just frustrated out of my mind. I have restored to HP recommended and made sure the pc does nothing if power is under 7%. I am out of iddeas please help

Internet slows down or shuts off for a few minutes, then goes back to normal. What should I do?

So I've been away for a while and when I got back to US I've had some issues.
It's the same internet connection as before, so I'm not sure if that's the problem.
When I use an internet browser everything goes well for a while and then internet suddenly slows down or shuts off , it dosen't show dissconnect or anything.
The only thing that happens is that pages won't load, or they load super slow. This usually happens for a few minutes.
I got my macbook this september and I'm careful with not blocking the fans.
The same thing happens when I play games online, the internet "shuts" off or slows down, freezing the game. I'm now unable to play that game because of this issue.
I really don't know what could've causes this and I'm not really sure how to check, I would appreciate any help.
When this issue happens it dosen't seem to be because of what I have open, how mane pages, or over heating.
(I'm not a hundred percent sure about the heat, it gets warm but hot acctualy heated up as in when it's running heavy applications)
I'd like a response fast because this affects not only my gaming (which I really miss) but also everything else like HW, since the page would die suddenly.
Please help
p.s It's a wifi connection and I don't have acess to use a cable. I'm trying to get a hold of the password to the internet since I only have it locked on my laptop as "go-to" connections.. My landlord has the password ..

Internet shuts off after a few minutes requiring wireless network reset on windows 8.1

I recently upgraded from windows eight to windows 8.1 I do not know if this has anything to do with anything I have a 64 bit OS. My Internet goes off by itself every 5 minutes even though my wireless icon at the lower right of the screen still shows connected
I had an error message in the last event in it said that might DHCP settings were out of range. I get my internet at my house through a wireless portable hotspot through my smart phone. But i haven't ever had any problems before and i only have this problem
on this network. If i turn airplane mode on and reset my network card, the internet will come back to life but soon die. i don't experience this problem while on a different network or if i'm on WiFi. This s really annoying please help

Airplay mirroring shuts off in about a minute

when i am using the tv monitor to review photos using airplay mirroring on my ipad, the mirroring shuts off in less than a minute. how can i keep it on airplay mirroring until i desire to turn it off? the latest software updates are in place.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

Audigy 2 zs Notebook Shutting Off Displa

Has anyone ever heard of--or encountered--this problem? I have a Dell Inspiron 900, mainboard not blacklisted; in fact, the card worked fine until recently. At first I thought my laptop was experiencing thermal shutdown, since it looked "off" (hey, small "pop" and black display--first thing you think is the sucker just shut down instantly).
I have tried everything I can think of, incluiding reinstalling O/S, looking everywhere for updated drivers, and the list goes on--so long, it makes my head hurt.
If I put the card in my computer's PCMCIA slot with no installed software, nothing happens (of course). My point here is the monitor stays on.
As soon as I try to set up the software, just as it's installing the drivers (I assume), bam! No display.
The onboard graphics card is a Radeon Mobility 9700, 28 mb; the PCMCIA is TI-450. Intel chipset, 865 series.
I installed Speedfan and the laptop doesn't go above 60 degrees C, when running CPU intensi've applications, which is supposed to be normal for the P-4 Prescott processor.
Does anyone--anyone!!--have any clue as to what's going on?
I can't tell if it's a software or hardware problem. Why did it work, and then stop? If it's a hardware issue, I don't understand why the problem doesn't appear until I install the Audigy software....
The card was a birthday gift fi've months ago, and I haven't got a receipt, so I'm probably hosed if this IS a hardware malfunction.
Creative tech support doesn't seem to have any clue.
I'm hoping one of you out there does!

? A soundfont cannot contain alle drumkits, and it is not nessecary at all. I dont know a soundfont bank wich contains a complete set of drumkits, too. There are only some soundfonts like the crysis soundfont (to big for its "bad" quality) wich have some dummy-drumkits/ entrys or slightly modified sounds for each than usual. If all drumnkits would be stored in high-quality, the soundfont would be huge... Every synth i know uses the standard drumkit, if the chosen one is not existent. This is not optimal, but it will guarantee, that the the MIDI file or Program/ game will work. The KXDrivers wont do this. SO they are not useable for General MIDI. Only for MIDIs and soundfonts fitting together. But thats not the point of General MIDI. CMSS isnt working with these drivers, too. Dolby decoding/ encoding isnt possible with them, either. These drivers are not bad, but if you want a completely working card, KXdrivers are worthless.

Notebook shuts off when powering up

I am unable to get my computer to power up. It starts to load on a white screen and then shuts down. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

an educated assumtion is telling me that the initial inpact made some connector/wire or hardware loose or made it move causing a short everytime pressure is applied to the affected area.
