Hp 16 gb pendrive not detected in car stereo system.

hi sir,
i have purchase hp pendrive 16 gb it is working in computer but not detected by the car stereo system please provide the solution.

There could be a couple of reasons why its not working for your car stereo.
Look up the manual for your stereo. Several have a size limit as to what they will accept.
Example: It will read up to an 8 GB drive.
Also make sure you have the right music file type it will read.
Usually, Stereos will read FAT32 and not NTFS. Make sure you have it formated correctly.
Worst case scenario I have seen is that some model stereos will not read every brand USB drive.
The manufacturer may have a list of approved drives.
Hope it helps.

  • Ipod Nano 4g not recognised by car stereo system

I have recently purchased a new design Vauxhall Astra. One of the extras available was a USB connection which stated on the original advertising leaflet that it was fully Ipod compatible. Upon getting the car home I was eager to try out my Ipod Nano 4th generation. Initially nothing happened when I plugged it in via the USB socket. I then thought to switch on the auxiliary button, this responded with the message "no auxiliary connected". I then thought maybe I should switch on the Ipod. That was when the real trouble started, everything went dead. That was when I decided I had better check the car handbook. It was only then that I discovered the list of compatible Ipods and guess what every one was listed except for the 4g. I disconnected the Ipod, which although initially only showed the Apple logo, I was able to make it work normally. As for the car stereo system everything works fine except for the auxiliary switch, this still remains dead. The car is going back to the dealership on Wednesday for them to try to find out what is wrong, in the meantime is there anyone out there that can shed any light on this problem.

At last, Vauxhall have come up with the solution. It seems that the fact the original advertising literature not mentioning the 4G was an error as they are all compatible. Apparently to make the system work it is essential to have the engine running before you make the USB connection. If you do not have the engine running the system becomes confused and therefore shuts down completely, which is what happened to me. If this happens then the only way of rectifying it is to return the car to the dealership and have the system completely re-configured. Obviously I mentioned the fact that this was not explained when I collected the car and they admitted that this should be made clearer for future customers

  • IPhone 3G Lack of compatibility with Alpine CDE-9852 car stereo system

So I have a Alpine CDE-9852 car stereo system along with the Alpine iPod adapter in my 1994 Toyota Celica and I've come across a little problem ever since I upgraded to iPhone 3G. See, when I had my 2G iPhone and plugged it in via the dock connector, my car's stereo system played what was playing on my iPhone. When I answered phone calls the music stopped and then continued when the call ended. Most importantly, when I was plugged it, my iPhone charged itself. Everything was great!
When I bought my iPhone 3G though, something changed. My system still plays songs from my iPhone, stop when a call comes in, and continues when the call ends, BUT my phone no longer gets charged! I've tried messing around with the phone, but no luck. So I'm assuming there is a compatibility issue, and I realize a firmware from Alpine is highly unlikely, so my question for you all is: Am I out of luck on this or is it possible that something can be done to allow my 3G to charge via the car's ipod adapter? Also, could Apple solve this issue, by adding more compatibility to the next firmware? I would appreciate any feedback and incite on what can/can't be done. I'm planning to write/call Apple and Alpine to try and get to the bottom of this problem. It's just so disappointing that the old phone charged and the new one doesn't. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

So you were right to assume I transposed the numbers, it is the 9857. Thanks for all the valuable info you have given me so far. Now, here is my question, I have an iPod adapter box, that cost me $100. Now I'm not sure what model number this is (I can find out once I go home this weekend), but I can tell you it is an Alpine iPod adapter box. Its what I used to plug in my iPhone for the past year and a half. I bought this back more than 2 years ago though, so I don't know if affects the 2006 compatibility time period, so possibly you could answer that once I get you the model number. So with the 422i, would it replace the ipod adapter I have now, or just change the cable that goes from the adapter to my iPhone? Also, the website talks about it as though it strictly supports iPods, is it compatibable with my iPhone? Also, will I be able to use an phone features with the new cable.
So with the replacement cable you said it will do 5 volt, which is what I need for the iPhone right? I don't have a 120 gb classic, so I'm all set there. As far as connecting my iPhone, playing music from it, and charging it, is this cable my solution?
Also, so the scoche adapter would solve all these issues as well? Including the needed charging area? Finally, do you know if there are any head units out there by alpine or anyone for that matter that would provide me (an iPhone 3G owner) with all the functionality I've been looking for PLUS phone capabilities? I'm not looking to drop an arm and a leg or get a big screen alpine head unit, but something that would broadcast my calls in the car through the system. I realize this might have to include buying a bluetooth unit, but I figure it might be worth it to get all that capability.
Thanks again Jeddix for all your help.

  • Car Stereo System

    Hi Forum Members!
    First time post here.
I am overwhelmed by the number of different Car Stereo Systems  there are to buy in the world.
I am looking to surprise my mom with a new Car Stereo System for her 2006(?) Chevy Malibu.
My mom does not own an iphone or any apple product.
All I need is a Stereo that has BlueTooth Connectivity, built in Microphone to use with the BlueTooth for hands free calling,
and it needs an FM/AM Receiver, my mom does not listen to satellite radio
If you can point me in the right direction, that would help out a lot.
and also to any dashboard adapters i might need to help install it into her car
    Thank you

The Kenwood KDC-BT648U (last year's model...still available on website?), KDC-BT652U (This year's model...in stores but not on website...link points to Kenwood's info) and Sony's MEXBT3000P (also in stores but not on website....link points to Sony's product page) are great places to start.  Those are models that have a microphone built in, but there are several more available that have an external microphone for better hands free performance.  The question of adapters needed is kind of tricky if it is a Malibu in that year range.  The parts required can range in price dependent upon the options the car has.  If it has the information center that is built into the radio, then the dash kit is $199.99 and you would also need an antenna adapter.  If the information center is on a separate part of the dash then the dash kit is a more affordable @ $19.99 but would also require a wire harness that is $88.99 and would also need the antenna adapter.

  • IPod compatibility for a car stereo system

    Hello,
I am searching for car stereo system that has ipod compatability for my teacher's birthday. Do you have any auggestions? I'm kinda clueless on this stuff.

You need to be more specific. If you're just looking for some kind of interface to work with a radio he/she already has, then I would need to know what kind of radio it is, or if it is a factory radio, I would need to know Make, model and year of the vehicle to give you some ideas. If you are looking for a new radio, then most of your aftermarket radio manufacturers make iPod compatible radios that simply need to have a cable added and you can plug an iPod directly into the new radio and control it with the radio. This allows text to be shown on the radio display as well as charges the iPod. I currently work with Alpine and Kenwood and both of them offer a full speed interface. Full speed is kind of important as some of the older interfaces were slow and cumbersome to operate.
Give me a little more info. and I'm sure I can help you out.

  • Pendrive not detecting

i have purchased and usb flash drive last 15 days ago from Grant road and it was working properly but all of a sudden it is not showing on my laptop & in disk management its showing no Media pls help me out...

    Subani,
You will want to try the pen drive on another computer to test with.
If the drive is still not detected on any other computer, then it is a bad drive and needs to be replaced.
Let me know what you find.
    Thanks.

  • New ipod touch will not charge with car stereo anymore

I recently got an iPod Touch and when I plug it in to my car stereo it says that "charging is not supported with this accessory". I'm assuming it has something to do with the fact that the new IPT do not charge with firewire.
I'm having the same problem with a USB 2.0 extension cord I bought. this one I don't understand because it is supposed to be USB and not firewire. I've tried plugging that in to the wall with a usb wall charger but I get the same thing, so it's not an issue of there not being enough power.
As far as my car is concerned, the cable has a regular ipod connection. I look up firewire to USB converters but they all have a female firewire (small odd shaped holes) connection, so I couldn't plug my cable in to it. Does anyone have any idea on what I could do to fix this situation so that my ipod will charge while it is plugged in?

You have identified a problem that has been around since the iPod touch came out (also effects the latest generation nanos). Go to your local big box store and by yourself a new charger that is compatible with the touch.

  • Bluetooth on iPhone 6 does not work with car stereo

I have used iPhone 4, 4S, 5 and 5S on my car - my own and my families phones. They all work as intended with regard to music and most importantly telephony. My car (FORD S-MAX) has buttons etc. for phone navigation. My daughters and wifes 5S's still work.
When I paired my new iPhone 6, the pairing itself was successful, but it does not work at all.
    1) Incoming calls show my own telephone number, regardless of who calls
    2) I cannot use the car buttons for anything, neither pickup, hangup or anything else
    3) Regardless of what I do, the Podcast starts playing, if I choose Bluetooth as sound input on car. If I click pause on Podcast, it resumes after a while, sometimes immediately.
    4) If I use the phone to dial a number, the sound is not in the car, even if sound source is Bluetooth/Car. If I select something else and back to car, the sound is in the car.
Hopefully this is soon to be solved! Or is there already a solution out there?
    Best regards
    Matt, Denmark

My iPhone 6 pairs just fine with my 07 Z4 ,no idrive etc just the basic B/T install  on a Business standard radio set up with e snap in connector for the iPhone
but not yet an iPhone 6 snap in
You may need to ensure you clear all ol pairings from Beemer they have a limited number of pairings that can be stored at one time
To dispel all the bad press my 6 also happily paired with my '13 X1 without any issues and with the correct snap in also  plays audio
The issue is usually with iDrive which BMW do have some issues with

    Hi Team,
I upgraded my Macboox OS to Mavericks and since than the webcam is not detected in facetime skype or my other office application like Cisco Jabber.
I know "sudo killall VDCAssistant" works, But it works for some days and again webcam stops working.
We have huge engineer base in office who uses Macbook and if the colloboration through video is not working, it may affect the further purchases.
Is Apple willing to provide some permanent solution to this problem.

You mention earlier that you have an iMac that works with the apps that give trouble on your rMBP.
If your rMBP originally came with Mavericks installed, the only workaround I can suggest is that you use your iMac to maintain your non-Apple relationships until the problem is resolved.
If your rMBP originally came with Mountain-Lion or earlier installed, and if you need to use your rMBP with the problem software apps, consider retreating to Mountain Lion until the problem is resolved in Mavericks.

  • IOS8 does not work on car stereo USB

    Hi guys,
Has anyone encountered this issue after updating to IOS8 from 7, my USB function in my car recognizes my iphone as an ipod and plays directly without having to use Bluetooth.
Ever since I just updated there seems to be connecting but never connected as an ipod and thus I only can use Bluetooth to play my music.
While is not END of the world, is a bit disappointing.
And yes, I am using original cables and it was working the day before? I don't expect car manufactures to suddenly cater for IOS changes as they probably met the specifications to begin with and thus it was working on IOS 7.
Any thoughts? Or suck in and hopefully Apple gets an update to fix this?
Is there a place where I can give feedback to their team? I know is not scream and shout at them but rather, "Could you have a look at this?"

    Hi,
I have a Kia cee'd and I'm experiencing the same issue.
Before updating to iOS8, connecting the iphone to the car USB I was able to get it properly recognized. For example, music playing was working fine and GPS Navigator also.
It was hearable through the car audio system. After the update to iOS 8 (and iOS 8.1), once I connect the iphone to the car USB it is not possible to get the device recognized. The car stereo display prompts a message "no file".
Quite strange and for sure disappointing.
    ciao!

  • IOS4 does not recognize in car audio systems...awesome!

So a major glitch with the iOS4 release for iPhone turns out to be the complete inability to interact with hard wired connections to in-car audio systems. As a result, those of us who relied on our iphone music libraries to provide our driving entertainment prior to this latest update, are now completely out of luck. Unless, of course, you count the incessantly flashing warning that "your iphone does not support this accessory" entertaining as opposed to infuriating. This strobe effect has the added bonus of rendering your touch screen completely useless. Good luck if your hard connection provides charging capabilities as well.
Between the ungodly amount of money spent on iTunes music and my car audio system over the last couple of years, I’m just tickled to death about this world wide technological turn of events. Good job Apple, you really dumped in the bed on this one.

I see the same problem when plugging my iPod with iOS 4 into my clock radio iPod dock. If i remove it and plug it back in it generally works fine. But it is a bit of a nuisance.

  • Bluetooth will not work with car stereo after IOS6

I upgraded to ios6 and lost a number of Bluetooth  functions with Alpine car stereo  1. Can no longer control playback from head unit. 2. Track info no longer displayed on head unit. 3.  When head unit finds iPhone it no longer begins to play automatically.

If this is an after market car radio, you can go to the manufacures website, and they should have an update available for your head unit.  Some manufactures dont have it available and you may need to replace and update your head unit.  If this is factory installed, go to your local dealership, and they can do the update for you.

  • Can one use  the iphone with car  stereo systems as one does an ipod?

My car has a "jack" for mpegs/ipod to interlace with the existing stereo. Is there an accessory that will allow me to use my iphone as one would an ipod with such systems?

    Dewey Cheatum,
Apple doesn't make most of the adapters out there. Instead Apple provides the specifications so that other manufacturer's can make products that are labeled as "Works with iPhone".
I would contact the manufacturer of the car stereo to see if they have one that is certified by them to meet the "Works with iPhone" standard. If the radio came with the car, then the dealer and car manufacturer would be the resource to utilize.
This link described how manufacturer's can get their products labeled as "Made for iPod" or "Works with iPhone".

    Hope this helps,
