HP 17" 2070 n; raid 0 has failed per Intel Rapid Storage

have an HP 17" 2070 nr; has 2 HDD's in raid 0;
and the Intel rapid storage is indicating that something has failed;
unit is out of warranty so asking here. HDD says I have 1tb.
everything is working great so no problems.
I could (per Intel Rapid Strg.), "set to normal" the offending unit, but I am hesitant

Dear community,
I have been frustrated about this for long time. Got U310 with win8(24GB SSD+500GB HDD).
People says I should set RAID in BIOS. But I got only error and cannot do recovery. So I set back to ACHI mode and system restored. Then error: "Your system does not apear to have Intel Rapid Start technology enabled".
- Yes, I have tried to set BIOS ACHI to RAID, no start.
- SSD 24GB is in device manager, not paritioned.
- intel RAID software installed
- So the point is: I have to activate in BIOS ACHI to RAID, but then Pc will not start.
So whats is the problem?

Could anyone help me, how to reactivate the RAID/ fast caching technolgy of RST?
Another frustration is: how to backup my system(win8) to USB media, so that I could restore factory state?

thanks for your reply! How do you identify it is defective? You have now a RAID enabled U310 or U410?
My SSD HD can be manually partitioned and use as a normal R/W HDD. Just it cannot set to RAID I think, which should be set to before install windows 8. checking into BIOS, the Intel Rapid Storage technolgy (iRST) is enabled. But I still have problem( see screenshot): How does it look like for yours?
On the other side, I use windows 8 recovery programm created a USB drive as recovery media. I want to use it to reset /recovery my PC to factory default with RAID eanbale.
First I set BOIS to RAID. Boot from HDD, but still failed, it says (I think AHCI could go thru):

Very annoying also, the Lenovo program OneKey Recovery program 8.0(for win8) gives no option to create factory DVD/USB media, while its ver. 7 did:

RAID 0 volume failed - Intel RST, W530 (wonder if it is hardware issue now)

My laptop is about two years old. I got one of two intel RAID 0 volumes failed several months after I got this laptop. This problem has been on my laptop for a long time.
The functionality of my laptop started to become poor after this volume failed.In the beginning, windows explorer stopped working and restarted every time I opened the laptop. The windows repair tool said windows could not be repaired... So I reinstalled the OS and reset it to factory setting. However, the crashes persisted and gradually became more frequent. Many other error reports showed up. After searching for solutions, I finally did a clean windows install and used the BIOS Intel RST to repair the corrupted volume (I deleted old volumes created new ones).
Unfortunately, now, the same volume fail error appears again and the functionality of my laptop is impacted. Sometime I cannot save my excel or pdf file because program stop working, or cannot open a pdf file. I have to restart the OS.
The detail error message of Intel RST is: "your volume appears inaccessible. Try fixing any problems reported on the array disks. If this fails, review the Troubleshooting section under Help for more information. In all cases, back up any accessible data before taking action".
I'm now wondering if it is the hardware issue. If so, I'm thinking about buying an extended warranty because my orignal warranty has expired. However, I'm not sure if the warranty can cover this...
In this community, I find there are two types of extended warranty, one will start from the expiring date of the original one and the other will start from the date of purchase. I suppose I need to find the second one.
I'm also wondering the quality of the warranty. Will it take a long time to repair if I send it? or will it take a long time for them to ship?
Any idea, solution and experience in warranty / repairment would be appreciated.

When my laptop was still in the original warranty, I contacted the lenovo customer service for repairment of the failed volume. Those people told me it was errors coming from my software. They said the repairment was not covered in the original warranty and I needed to buy a new type of warranty (related to software repairment). I had no confidence in the quality of lenovo's customer serivce... So I did not buy it.

Raid admin shows an event that power supply 2 has failed and the audible alarm goes off on the server but the the components section in raid admin shows all ok.
also the power supplys both seem to be running ok when I look at them visually.
is this a bug or should I replace the power supply?

Can you clarify what Mac and Mac OS you really have? Facetime was introduced in 2010, four years after PowerMacs were discontinued. And "iOS" is not an computer OS.

The Share Operation has failed: QuickTime Error: -50

I just updated to FCP X 10.0.8 and all of the sudden I am getting share errors when I attempt to export. I have tried sharing to youtube and sharing for apple devices at 1280px X 720px using H.264 codec. Each time I get a quicktime error: -50.
I am editing on a Mac Mini 2.7 GHZ Intel i7. 8GB memmory OS 10.8.3. The video files are AVCHD 1920x1080 24fps and live on an external 6 tb GTech Raid external hard drive.
So far, I have tried deleting both my project file's render files and event render files. I have copied the project to a new project and re-rendered. Each time, I am seeing that several tiny little segments are showing as un-rendered (orange bars above clip on timeline). I'm guessing that this might have something to do with the error?
I am not using any images and the music I am using is an AIFF file. I re-timed some of the clips for slow motion.
When I try to share as "export file" > Video and Audio > Apple Pro Res 422 at 1920 x 1080 I get "The share operation Export File has failed" The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 1403 (error - 1). But I'm not sure how to view frame numbers.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I've tried deleting all the render files several times and it doesn't work.
Interestingly enough, when I copy the bad clips individually to a new project and then export them, they export just fine. They do not have the weird orange render bars.

I'm not sure if my clips are optimized. My import preferences have the "create optimized media" checkbox checked, but when I actually imported the files, I did not check the "create optimized media" checkbox. Although, on my hard drive there is a folder for transcoded media > high quality media and it has some clips in there, including the bad clips. So I guess it created optimized media? Is there another way to tell if a clip has been optimized.

I was updating Firefox to the newest version 7.0.1 from version 6.0.2 I think it was, I clicked the restart Firefox button that always comes up after updating. It started updating and then Firefox never restarted like it was supposed to after it was done updating. I then tried to open Firefox and it told me "This application has failed to start because xul.dll was not found." I did have Firefox crash on maybe about 30 minutes or so earlier which bothered me because I have been using Firefox for years and never had it crash on me before but I didn't think much of it at the time it happened because I was able to go back onto Firefox and finish what I had been working on. A while later I checked for updates and updated. The first time I tried to update it didn't work though so I had to shutdown Firefox and reopen Firefox and start the update a second time. It was after the second time that when I tried to open Firefox I got that message about failing to start because xul.dll can't be found. I filed a crash report when my Firefox crashed. This would have been around 1am-2am in the morning that Firefox first crashed and then wouldn't allow me to open it after updating. I have a DELL laptop running the Windows XP operating system but the laptop is probably at least 6 or 7 years old. The laptop will no longer charge so I always have to have it plugged into an outlet. Both my laptop hard drive and my external hard drive give me messages that I am running out of disk space on my hard drive. I bought this laptop 6 or 7 years ago second hand so it could be even older. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). My iPhone has failed (again) and I need to access my contacts. I backup/sync to ITunes regularly, but I can't find any means to access the data that I have backed up.

The iphone is designed to be synced woth your computer regularly. Your contacts should reside on your computer. The iphone simply allows them to be portable.
Your contacts will be in whatever program you have been syncing.
The backup is only for restoring an iphone. Contacts are backed up to keep the recents and favorites when you restore your iphone.

I tried to update my computer itunes program and it failed several times. First of all I had a message that sdi choose "tools and then download manually." I did and then everything got even worse. I got a message that siad, "This application has failed to start...MSVCR80.dil...Reistalllation may fix th problem."

I'm assisting with a migration of SAPDB, on Windows Server 2003, to MaxDB 7.6.xx on Solaris 10 SPARC.
I can connect to my SAP DB 7.3.0.35 using Database Manager 7.4.3.23 as superdba. Now I'm trying to use the dbmcli.
I go to the server and pop open a cmd prompt and try it via dbmcli:
dbmcli -d sdb -u superdba,<password>
And I get a Windows dialog box that says
This application has failed to start because SapNi.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

actually, the SUPERDBA user only has ONE valid password. Although he is able to perform admin tasks and to execute SQL statements, there are not two passwords for this user!
So if you are able to connect with that user with dbmcli and not with sqlcli or loadercli, there seems to be something wrong with your system/users. Maybe the user called SUPERDBA on your system is not really the SYSDBA but a 'normal' dbm user.
When you connect with that user with dbmcli, please execute the following commands:
sql_execute select user from dual
sql_execute select SYSDBA from dual
sql_execute select * from users
Can you also connect with user control with dbmcli? You might want to check the default password (control).
Regarding the ni.dll problem: If I understand that correctly, you installed Database Studio locally on your PC. Did you also install any othe MaxDB software on that server? When you try to use dbmcli to connect to a remote database, you'll have to specify the -n <hostname> option. Or did you get that dll error on the database server itself?
Database Studio cannot be used to administer databases of version 7.3. You'll have to use DBMGUI or dbmcli for that.

I am using dmcli on the Windows 2003 Server with my SAP DB 7.3 installed. Here is the version of dbmcli that I'm using.

I think is important mention this, i had problem 1 setp before about the brtools 7.00

Ok Markus, i did the following
First i downloaded vcredist_<platform>.exe from Microsoft web page and retry the installation
And the following error i got
Operative System open's a Window that say following

Am hoping for some help please if possible, I have just downloaded the latest version of I-Tunes, when I double click on the .exe to install I get the following message;
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
I've tried searching forums and have seen similar posts - one suggesting it may be a problem with a dll file but gave no further details and another post that suggested it could be the .net framework which I downloaded a fix for from Microsoft but this has not worked unfortunately.
I am running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I just downloaded the Flex 3.3 DK from here:

Once unzipped I went to run this:
C:\DATA\My Documents\_jim\flash\open-source\_Software\flex_sdk_3\bin\mxmlc.exe
When I ran it, I got this error

I searched on Google, and found this:

So from there, downloaded "msvcr71.dll", placed here:

And ran the following in the Command prompt: regsvr32 "msvcr71.dll".
When I did that, I got this error message:

The file was not registered
I saw that the DLL is related to Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime, so I deleted the dll I saved manually, and ran the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) from here:

Once done, the dll was not placed in the System32 folder.

I recently had my computer serviced by the Geek squad for virus removal, I tried to use itunes and connect my ipod and I keep getting this message by: itunesHelper.exe- unable to locate component. "This application has failed to start because QTFC.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I have tried to install Itunes and quick time player, but the same error pops up and I can't close the tab. Any suggestions?

Let's doublecheck on the current locations of that dll.
Go "Start > Search" and then do an all files and folders search on QTCF.dll. In "More advanced options", make sure the following items are all checked:
*Search System folders*
*Search hidden files and folders*
*Search subfolders*
What QTCF.dll files do you find, and what are their file locations?
