Hp 2000 2b09wm windows 8.1 stuck in recovery short DST failed?

Hello. I am trying to fix my mothers laptop HP 2000 2b09wm stuck in some type of recovery mode that is so very frustrating. The thing is that these windows machines will always end up at some point not working and the result may be like where this one is, this recovery blahblahblah or some other f12 bios repair, ect.....It doesn't matter as yes, i am venting. I feel left out. I use an Apple laptop, an 8 year old one and I never get to have these fun type of emergency out of the blue issues. My stupid computer always just works as it should and i am disappointed ny this. And Apple, they are no help. Yea i try contacting them to ask why and if the may sell some software to keep me on my toes by installing a random failure type of deal and they do. It is however 3rd party and does cost a whopping $319.99. and it is download only. But otherwise if you buy an Apple computer, that is what you get. Expect it to operate as it should. Well i am getting bored with using my laptop (the only one that does work) to access the web to go to HP's web site and thumb thru forums to find a solution as to why their machines are not working. This is rediculious! Just saying guys.........i can't hardly get pestered to randomly update..........this is ludicrous! Any way i did finaly find a solution to this problem. I went to starbucks and set up my moms laptop at a table then i left it unattened like i went to the john. It took longer than i thought but YES! some thieving a**hole finaly did grab it! AHH HAHAHA! have fun douche bag, jokes on you! Maybe he will be searching this very forum looking for a fix as to why this laptop sucks!!! Peace out b****es!!!!!!!!

Hi Searchn,
Instead of using discs, you can create a recovery solution on certain blank USB storage devices. With a USB flash drive, you do not have to swap discs and recovery the recovery process completes much faster. Using Recovery Manager to create the recovery media is the same as discs. Select Create recovery media with a USB flash drive.
On the page click on save a recovery image to a USB flash drive. It will show you a video and how to do this.
Thanks.

  • Iphone4 stuck in recovery mode after failed attempt to update OS. how to fix?

    Hi,
I tried to update my iPhone software (after successfully backing up to iCloud, and then successfully updating iTunes software) but got a 1604 error message.  The phone is stuck in recovery mode, and all attempts to restore the phone have resulted in failure.  I keep getting the same error message.  Basically, the phone never gets past "preparing to restore."  Please help.
I am linking my iPhone 4 to a PC Windows XP Professional, with up-to-date software.  This is the third time I've tried (and failed) to update the iPhone software, though the other two times I was able to restore.  This time nothing seems to be working.  Please help!  Thanks.

Look what google found! Amazing how that works eh?

*Error 1604*: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the USB 30-pin dock-connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
    2. Restore and wait for error 1604.
    3. When prompted, click OK.
    4. Close and re-open iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
    5. iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    6. Try to restore again.

When your phone is in recovery mode, it's like it crashed.  The only way that you can get it out of recovery mode is by restoring, and this erases all your data as well.
You can believe what you wish by "reading all over the internet".  This is Apple's technical support forum.  We do know what we're talking about.
since you have very important photos on your phone, why haven't you been importing them to your computer as soon as possible after taking them?  This is how the phone is meant to be used.  Keeping critical data on only a device which can be easily stolen, dropped and broken is just plain foolish.  Also, did you not back up your phone (as you should be doing with any computer) before attempting any operating system update?  As you've now just painfully learned, updates do not always go as planned.
I'm sorry for your data loss, but let this be a very important lesson.  BTW, when was the last time you backed up your computer?  I'm sure you have important data on your computer.  Hard drives WILL fail.

  • IPhone stuck in recovery mode after failed update.

Hi, I have a bad situation here... My iPhone 5 got stuck in recovery mode after I tried to update to iOS 7.1.1 from 7.0.4 and it failed (error code 6). If this was my iPod touch I would just restore it because all I have is music, but this iPhone has all my sisters graduation photos, important photos, important school documents, contacts, app data, videos from concerts. Etc. I was wondering if I could get the photos off the phone before restoring it, because they are important. I know I should've backed up my photos and made a backup of the phone, but I've been really busy with a lot of stuff. So I was just wondering if there is any way to get the photos and app data back. The app data doesn't really matter but the photos do. The device was not jailbroken or hacked in any way.
If you could help, tell me ASAP.

  • My iPod is stuck in recovery mode after failing to update to iOS 8.whatever and now won't connect to iTunes to restore?

So yeah, got an iPod touch for Christmas and it's pretty much bricked it and I haven't even had it for a full month yet. Not amused. I've tried everything from reinstalling everything Apple related on my laptop to external programs that promise to kick that thing out of recovery mode. If there's any other way to fix it I'd love to know considering it won't show up in iTunes at all so there's no way for me to restore it. This is my first Apple product and I haven't found a solution to a problem that I've found dates back as far as 2012 with no semblance of a way to fix it. Though I've seen ways to fix each problem separately it appears you need one thing to be working to fix the other which is an issue.
Okay I'm just ranting to but help would be appreciated

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • IPhone 4s stuck in recovery mode after failed restore, and won't connect to iTunes

I tried restoring my iPhone 4s with iTunes. I download the latest firmware from apple's website, and when I tried to restore my iphone with it on itunes, it gave me an error message and put it in recovery mode. I tried to restore again, but it will not connect to itunes.I've tried turning to DFU mode and other things, but it still won't show up on itunes as a phone in recovery mode, or anything. Is it bricked, or can I still fix it?

What was the exact error message, including any numbers?  Was this phone ever jailbroken?

  • IPad 2 that is stuck in recovery mode

I have an iPad 2 that is stuck in recovery mode from failing an update.  It does not show up in iTunes or in My Computer but the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed and working properly.  I plugged my iPhone up to the same computer and it works just fine.
I have tried everything I could find from all the forums and nothing has worked.  Un-installed and re-installed iTunes, restarted Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, restarted the computer, held Home and Power buttons down.....I have no clue what else to do!
    Can anyone help????

    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Connect USB cable to computer
    3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
    5. Release the Home button
    6. Open iTune
    7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
    8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times

  • HP 2000 2b09wm

    11/5/2014, 6:41 PM Central
    Greetings
I have an HP 2000‑2b09wm laptop. It's a good computer, and I love it! My question is this: what is the hardware difference between the HP 2000‑2b09wm and the HP 2000‑2b19wm? I see that the HP 2000‑2b19wm has 4gb of ram, and the HP 2000‑2b09wm only has 2gb ram. Is that the only difference?
I work for TeleTech online, and want a backup computer in case of a problem, I can simply swap to the other pc. I have a backup of my current system, using CloneZilla, it works great. I thought the easiest way is to clone the backup image to the new drive, after imaging the current drive state. If the new drive is identical, easier still.
So, are the drives on these 2 laptops identical?
    Thank you,
    rcline7

If you mean can you swap the drives and use either drive in either computer, before Windows 8 I would have said yes. Now, the activation code for Windows is not manually entered it is embedded in the BIOS. So if you swapped the hard drive from one into the other, all the drivers and programs are going to be the same, but I believe you are going to have to reactivate Windows. Other than that, the two hard drives should be identical and interchangeable such that you could use an image of either to recover both.

Oddly enough, I have had windows 7 installed on this Mac before but then I deleted and now I am looking to get it back (I am using the same disc I had used the previous time). Iv looked  around for days for any solutions that have been found but nothing has worked so far. If anyone can help me it be great!

My 2006 is also liist on the uncompatible list.  So there is an extra step to reburn the DVD.
Round about way of saying you bought System Builder? rather than retail which costs more but has both.
You might also have been better with pre-SP1 if you could find it. That does get mentioned from some users.
For free there are Windows 8 CP edition (and release candidate in June) to try, those you do burn from ISO to DVD. Try that.

  • How to get Oracle Developer 2000 for Windows

    Hi all,
I have some fmx and rep developed by "Oracle Developer 2000 for Windows" product. I can not run this fmx because of I dont have "Oracle Developer 2000 for Windows" product. I look up download.oracle.com to download but I dont find this product. How can I download or How can I run these fmx and reps?

Then you're pretty much out of luck. Your only option then is to ask Oracle Support, if they have a copy of "Developer 2000" (Forms 5.0), as you will need the Forms runtime for this version - but chances are pretty small. I just wonder, how you only can have the compiled files and not the source files... and there's no way to decompile an FMX back to an FMB. You can't get the source files somehow?
You know, that you're asking for something, which is very very old... it's like asking for a copy of Windows 95... on floppy disks....
It's more than 10 years ago, my company upgraded from Forms 5, and I don't think we have a copy of the installation media any longer. If Oracle Support can't provide you with a set of installation media, you might be lucky, that some user on this forum has a copy of it and will send it to you - but the chances of that is also pretty small, I'd say.... and in any case it will be completely unsupported, you're all on your own.
If I were you, I'd consider getting the application in question completely rewritten instead of trying to use those old FMX's for anything.
    Hope this helps,
    Jacob

  • Developer 2000 for Windows 98

Does any know if Oracle is still offering Developer 2000 for Windows 98? If not how can purchase the Windows 95 version?

    Aysenur,
that's teh difference between paid customer support and a free forum. The forum gives you a lot of help on technical issues as good as they can and Oracle product management helps on this. However, problems can be difficult to track and require dedicated help that cannot be handled on the forum. So coming back to the question what people should do that don't have a metalink account: get one!

  • Can we install JDeveloper (Window NT/2000) on Windows 98..??

Can we install JDeveloper (Window NT/2000) on Windows 98?
If not, is there a version available for Windows 98?
    Thanks

Yes, you can. Just insert the linux CD in the CD-ROM drive and when asked about the internal hard disk, be careful not to touch it. Also you should use GRUB or LILO to make the system dual bootable. You can go to http://www.tldp.org and look for the corresponding document.
