How to get drivers and download drivers for my HP 2000-261NR notebook?

I need to download all the original drivers for my HP notebook so that they may be reinstalled on a new hard drive. The old hard drive failed. A new harddrive and Windows 7 64 bit OS have already been installed. The HP support website locks up in a continuous loop when it says it is searching for drivers. It's been almost an hour and it is still searching with no results showing. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit on a new HP 2000-410 notebook. It has a 2.20 GHz Intel Pentium B960 processor and 3.85 GB of RAM.
While I can see it might be relatively simple to upgrade through an expansion port on a desktop computer, I don't know what might be possible on a laptop.
Amazon assures me it can be done, but before I try to figure out how to install a PCIe in the motherboard, I thought I'd best ask the experts first.
Is it possible?
If so, is it worth it? Would I need an independent power supply, too?
I'd appreciate any advice. I thank you for your expertise in advance.

HP 2000-329WM Notebook PC - recovery of Windows7

I installed Garmin Express to update maps on my New Garmin GPS, and I let the Map Update run un-attended as it was taking 3+ hrs, when I returned after 5hrs, the Map Update has completed the Windows Frozen, would not respond .. It had to be forced rebooted with the Power button, that's it.... it never worked after that. the GPS works fine.
After several attempts, I tried the recovery disks (I made at the time of purchase) it says no restore ponits available ....
I am not sure it was some thing to do with Garmin or this was just a coincidence. I can boot with a live Ubuntu CD and see the Windows partion, and the files in it . . .
I have a MS office installed from my University ... will I loose that too in a full recovery?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP 2000-329WM Notebook and issues with Garmin. Here is a link on troubleshooting recovery issues. Shows you how to restore or recover your Notebook.
Before you start here is a link on Backup.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system it will help with things that were installed at the time of purchasing the Notebook.
Before you begin a recovery from the hard drive, be sure there are no USB or external devices attached to your computer. Only hardware which was shipped with the computer, such as the mouse and monitor, should be attached to the computer.

I understand the brightness buttons are not functioning correctly is that correct? I will do my best trying to assist you with this issue.
There actually is a more recent released of bios for your system. Clink this link and installed it and see if that helps. Plug in the ac adapter before the install and make sure to save the download first and then install it.
