HP 2200D LaserJet recognized optional TRAY 3 as main tray

The HP 2200D has a standard 2 paper-feed system: (1) manual load, (2) main tray. I've just purchased the optional 3rd tray. I went to PRINTER SETUP UTILITY and configured it to recognize TRAY 3. The printer prints just fine using all 3 feeds but for some reason it has chosen TRAY 3 as the default, so whenever I print a document, it pulls paper from TRAY 3 instead of the main TRAY 2. And yes, I do have the PRINT dialogue box set to AUTO SELECT / STANDARD. Please help.

Today was my day to figure out how to get the correct tray to take the printing jobs, and I stumbled upon the answer to your question, but it's there, but it isn't really obvious.
On the print panel, you'll see the labels Printer: and Presets: — then you'll do like me and everybody else, and go and do the fixin's down that third pull-down menu. What the Presets menu does is takes the choices you've made and lets save it for either using every time, or for whenever you want it.
I like to pull paper from Tray 3 (for no good reason), so I went to the Paper Feed menu item and selected "All pages from: Tray 3." Then, instead of having that work for that one print job, I went into the Presets menu and chose the Save As…and called it "Tray 3." I kept that one selected in the print dialog, and now when I go to print in other programs, the last–selected print Preset I chose is used for all further print jobs.
Using this, I created a Preset with the Tray 3 paper duplexed, and Tray 2 Preset, and a Tray 2 without the Econowazzits for high–quality printing.
Another note of frustration: the Auto–Select is pretty much cursed. Whatever it deems you Auto–Selected is what it selects for you. I went into the GIMP Print ppd file, and the middle drawer was selected, and it still wanted to use Tray 1. So, sorry to say, you'll have to create a custom Preset unless you want to cuss at your machine several times a day (like I was).

Optional tray 3 won't fully close into its enclosure

Laserjet 5000 with optional tray 3.
The bottom tray will no longer close into its enclosure. It closes to about 2 inches and than stops. It is getting blocked by something inside in a location that I can't visually inspect. There is nothing outside and in back obstructing the tray from travelling through. I've even tried seperating the entire tray assembly from the main printer to work on to no success.

I have closure to this problem. Came back to the printer and the tray closed. I can't actually account for how it happened, it may have been in the process of opening and closing the various trays, printer top, etc. that I struck the right sequence to releasing whatever was obstructing the tray but it closes now.

My corporate database wizards have created a login for my small subsidiary to use to read selected data from the HR database. It's meant to be used by an SSIS package to bring over data on who's a current employee and who's not.
The package has started returning connection errors, and when I try to log into the HR database via SSMS using this login I get the following message:
"Unable to apply connection settings. The detailed error message is" 'NoCount' is not a recognized option."
If I click on OK I can still log in, but it looks like this error is causing SSIS to produce an error. I've seen articles on vaguely similar errors logging onto an Azure database, but this one's on SQL Server 2012.
Anybody got any ideas? Is there something I can change at my end, or is it a change that has to be made in the remote DB?

How to Expand/Collapse Select Option Tray

I have a View in which I have dynamically created a select-option Tray and then added select-options within the Tray using:

This works fine, but how do I dynamically expand and collapse the select-option Tray ? There are plenty of examples for expanding/collapsing normal Trays by binding the "expanded" attribute at design time or dynamically. But with a Tray created as a select-option block I do not have a reference to the Tray.
I have searched high and low but cannot find how to do this.
I don't want to create the Tray at design time because there will be select-options above and within the Tray.
Any help will be appreciated.

HP LASERJET 2200d - Optional TRAY 3 is grayed out in the print box - 10.2.8

I just added the optional 3rd tray to the bottom of my LASERJET 2200d. I did a print test directly from the printer and it printed a copy from that tray without a problem. But when I try to print from an application, tray 3 cannot be selected in the print box and is grayed out. Anyone?

Have you gone into Printer Center/Printer Setup Utility, click on your printer and click on the Utility button? Sometimes that has extra features that you can turn on. Maybe you need to tell the software side that the tray has been added to the printer.

Outlook 2010 and HP Laserjet 3005d paper tray choice

Windows 7, Offfice 2010. HP Laserjet P3005d. Stand alone computer.
This problem only occurs when printing from Outlook 2010. No other Microsoft or other program on our system shows this problem.
We have an extra tray for this printer, and it is included as Tray 3 on one of the Printing Shortcuts options at Print Options/Properties.
Problem: Outlook 2010 will not print from Tray 3. When we choose to print from Tray 3, the printing keeps diverting to the default tray, Tray 2. It loses the setting to print from Tray 3.
This phenomena has never happened with earlier versions of Outlook. We have the latest driver, which was automatically chosen from HP as a Universal driver.
Can anyone suggest a fix please?

AS400 (iSeries) Printing to HP LaserJet M5035 MFP Tray 3

Am trying to print from (iSeries) AS400 to tray 3 of HP LaserJet M5035, but the print keeps on diverting to tray 2 (A4). The iSeries is sending the job as A3, so one would assume the printer would print this job to tray 3 (A3), but it does not... Support have looked at the printer config on the iSeries and can do nothing more to change the tray... Does the M5035 have a setting that needs to be changed to allow this... ?

I just spent the last two days on this and have finally sorted it out. It actually isn't that hard to do but for some reason, no one has consolidated the information in one place!
First and foremost, make sure that you have all the latest and greatest firmware updates for your printer, your computer and your mobile devices.
Next, you need to connect your printer to your network via an ethernet cable, this is the only way to get in to the printer softare to configure it for your wireless network.
Navigate the printer menus on the keypad to Reports>Config Report and print this report. It will provide you with the IP adress and IPv4 address for the printer.
With the printer connected to your network and powered on, point your browser to the IP address of the printer. If this doen't work (it didn't for me) use the IPv4 address.
This will open the configuration panel for the printer and will let you configure the wireless for the printer so that it can join your wireless network. You will see various tabs across the top. Select network. Then along the left you will see wireless. Choose that. Now you should see a list of wireless networks available including your very own home network. Choose that one, enter your password and hit apply.
Disconnect the ethernet cable and you should be ready to Airprint from all devices. This worked for me, I can't imagine it won't work for all...then again...

Collapase Select Options Tray

I am reusing Select Options( WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS ) in my screen.
Is there a way to collapse the Tray( if_wd_select_options=>mc_block_type_tray ) of Select Options when the page is initially loaded.
This is my code for Adding a tray and adding select option fields using add_selection_field later.

There is no standard method available to control the behaviour BLOCK of WDR_SELECT_OPTION.
You need to do an enhancement in view SELECTION_SCREEN of component and use the post exit of WDDOMODIFYVIEW( ) method.
Sample code;

    DATA LO_TRAY TYPE REF TO CL_WD_TRAY.
      LO_TRAY ?= VIEW->GET_ELEMENT('ID01').
if lo_tray is bound.
      LO_TRAY->SET_EXPANDED( ABAP_FALSE ).

ENDIF.
Note: the changes made in WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS may impact globally for other applications. Instead you can copy the component WDR_SELECT_OPTION and do the necessary changes.

No option to preview on main monitor

my friend just called me saying that he doesn't see the option to choose main monitor as a video playback. he only see none & missing firewire on his system. he's using fcp5 with 1 monitor only.
I've asked him to trash the preferences but still no hope.

I've not heard this anywhere, but maybe he can't select the computer display to show full screen because it's res isn't high enough...

My Lr5.7.1 doesn't recognize my Epson XP-760 printer and after customising the printout in the Print Module the Print options (lower right AND Main Menu Archive Print) are disabled

I am running Lr5.7.1 on an iMac Retina 5K (OS X Yosemite 10.10.1). My printer (Epson XP-760) works fine with all other applications but not with Lr!!! After selecting my printout preferences in the Print Module it works if I select Print File and save it to the desktop and then take it up as a Preview and print it from there. This is not what I want. I expect that the Print button (low right corner) should be abled rather than disabled and send to printer directly from within Lr's Print Module. It doesn't matter if the printer is on Wi-Fi or USB (or even both).
What is the problem? What else can or should I do to make it work as I expect?

I have updated Yosemite to 10.10.2 and my problems remain. Reading About Lightroom 5.7.1, the pop-up window doesn't specifically say 5.7.1 and there is no choice to select More details (I can only trust that I am running really 5.7.1). I am sure that I really am Printing to file since this is the only choice I have ever seen enabled in my Lr5.7.1, whereas I have NEVER seen the Print option enabled. I enclose a screen dump (in Swedish) fyi.
So, I am still confused but on a somewhat higher level!

Bold option, at least for main layer names

I realize it may not be simple, but it would be so helpful in complex docs with many layers and sublayers to have the option of putting some in bold, especially the top/main layers. I have over 250 layers in a complex map doc, all sorted in sublayers with styles, etc., but when I open a layer (even with a 30" screen) it becomes a challenge to find my place. A simple bold main layer would really help.

I can agree with this. I will add to this the suggestion to color entire layer names rather than just the tiny colored area we get now.

I made my main account a parental control account and when I accessed the account created as admin, at the Parental Control options I deleted my main account and now I can't get back in it. I need help with this problem.

I made my administrator account a parental control account, at the time of creating it, the system asked for my administrator password, to restart the computer, and the new account was created. When I accessed that account at the parental control menu I could see my main account on the list and i deleted the account from that list, and now i'm trying to get back to it but I'm not able to because every time i restart the computer brings me back to the account I created. I searched for help on the web and it says to go to users and select the account I want to restore but I can't do it. Please help.

I am trying to connect a 32bit machine running Windows XP across the network to an HP 2200d Laserjet Series PLC 5 printer installed on a 64 bit machine running Windows 7 - The printer can be seen by the XP machine across the network but when I tried installing printer drivers I kept getting incorrect driver errors. (The HP printer had previously been connected directly. i.e., no network - to the XP machine before I bought the new computer and it worked fine.)
So I went to HP website and found two links on how to connect a 32 bit XP machine to the HP printer installed on 64 bit Windows 7, by setting up an x86 option on the host Windows 7 machine. These web pages are as follows:

Need to make Tray 2 the default on Laserjet 300 color mfp

I have installed a new laserjet 300 color mfp in our office and added an optional tray 3. We added tray 3 to only use for printing 8 1/2 x 11 job tickets on letter size labels. The idea is to make tray 2 the default tray and always have plain letter size paper loaded in it for all regular paper printing. Tray 3 is to be used ONLY when a job ticket is printed in MS Access which has the report setup to go to tray 3. I am constantly running into the situation of a user printing a 'normal' job and then the printer pulls expensive label stock from tray 3 and prints on it. I don't understand apparently how to prevent this from happening? Can someone tell me a way to force tray 2 to be the default tray to print from UNLESS the application tells the printer to pull from tray 3? Thank you in advance for any help on this.

On the printer (via front panel menus, or Embedded Web Server or Toolbox equivalent), specify which Paper Type (from the limited value set of names available) is present in each tray; also check that the Paper Size in each tray reflects what is prresent (with most Laserjet printers, sensors in the cassette trays automatically detect the size installed).
Then, when issuing a print request, instead of specifying paper source (tray) identifiers, select a combination of Paper Size and Paper Type (via the Print Preferences) to match the printer configuration.
