HP 2700 connection to my MacG4 thru network
HI! Can anyone please help me on how to be able to connect my HP 2700 printer to my Mac G4 thru wireless network?
Thanks in advance for your kind assistance
Not all printers support network printing, make sure the drivers for the drive are installed on your machine, and the machine its attached to is on.

My Macbook sometimes doesn't connect to my Wireless N network
I had my topcase replaced by apple a few weeks ago. Since then I've noticed my macbook SOMETIMES doesn't connect to my wireless N network (from my AEBS running on 5.8ghz frequency).
It's strange because most of the time it finds the network fine. But sometimes when i open the macbook up (awakes from sleep) it doesn't see the network (it's not available from the list of available networks). If i try to connect manually to the network when this happens i get a "connection timeout" message. If i turn off my airport connection off and then on with the macbook (thru the menu bar) it sometimes finds the N network. Sometimes that doesn't work, and i have to put the macbook to sleep and hope it finds the network when it awakes. Sometimes that solves the problem, but i may have to try it 3 or 4 times.
If i switch my AEBS to a mixed signal (supporting G) i don't have these problems, but i shouldn't have to do that, and i'm sacrificing wireless speed if i do that. I have a stable connection when it DOES find the network (it won't drop out and will be at full strength) but as soon as i put it to sleep i run the risk it may not find the network when it awakes.
As i said before i didn't notice this problem before I sent in the macbook to have the topcase repaired - is it possible the airport card was damaged? I was only running a N wireless network a week prior to submitting the macbook for repair, so i'm not positive that's it either. There's a reason why some are less than energetic in answering your question: the "pinwheel of death" could mean a lot of things. To start off, you will need to use various utilities to coax your MBP into functionality:
1. Perform a Permisions Repair, and also Repair your disk on Disk Utilities. If this doesn't work, proceed to the next step.
2. Using a free utility like Onyx, clean your caches.
3. Using the free Kext Wizard, make sure your files are consistent and accurate.
4. Use OpenDNS by connecting to this link:

OpenDNS is a simple way of making your online experience faster and easier.
If these steps were successful, take the time to post here; others will profit from your experience. If you still don't have the answer, post...and we'll find the solution! -
I can not get the iPad to connect to the internet thru the router it shows the modum but will not connect it keeps saying choose a netwokand the IP Address it automaticaly puts in is wrong?
Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.
If none of the above suggestions work, look at this link.

New Mac connection to Linksys 802.11g network
Help...I bought my daughter a 20inch MAC for Christmas and I still haven't been able to connect it to my Wireless network, a Linksys 802.11g basestation. I have even tried to remove all security from the Linksys, but trying to configure the MAC, it always asks for a password to access the wireless network. I don't even know what password is.
Any help to guide me thru this??Hi there,
Almost all home based wireless services will require both an EESID and WEP KEY. It's a way to have a relatively secure connection to the internet using wireless. The EESID is sometmes known as the Serial Number of the Wireless Router. In fact, your can find the EESID and WEP KEY (aka Password) right on the router itself. Look on your router for these 2 items. You might also have to configure router through the internet to work with your current modem. You Should have gotten insturctions.
Your iMac will require, in most instances, both the EESID and WEB KEY. If you find the WEB KEY try using that for the password. The password can also be referring to your ISP account password...
Good luck, Rick

want to connect hp oj 6800 thru wifi to my laptop with out a wifi router. is it possible?
This question was solved.
View Solution.Just to add,
The specific model (HP Officejet Pro 8600, assuming I did understood your intention as you did mentioned an Officejet model) only support infrastructure mode using a router. will help to know the exact model as there is no such a model named as Officejet 6800.
The Wireless Setup Wizard will not detect any ad hoc network - you may establish the connection from the computer by selecting the printer SSID but the connection will drop after 60 minutes due the HP Auto Wireless feature included for this model.

My Ipad 2 cant find my HP3050A j661b airprint printer although the printer is connected to the same wireless network and software updates are current on all and my other laptops also work properly with this printer.further more it used to work with my IPAD2 before when I used the old wireless router but now I changed it to HAUWEI HG231f but I set everything in the same way it was. Thanks in advance.
When you change to the new router, did you re-run the CD to re-set the new SSID and password to the printer.
Otherwise your iPad will not be able "talk" to your printer. -
How to Connect My Printer to The Network
My printer is LaserJet M1212nf. According to the brief introduction I should connect the printer to the network first in order to enable its e-printing function. I'm working at home. I don't share information with other computers. Does "network" mean my home internet? Do I need to use either a cable or a USB to connect it to the home internet? Or is there another way? Once it is connected, how can I get an email address from HP for my printer?
Hi,
Your printer can be connected to your network to print but it's not an ePrint printer:
http://www.shopping.hp.com/shopping/pdf/ce841a.pdf
It has a LAN card, you can connect it to your network and print wirelessly (note: print wirelessly and ePrint are two different things).

I upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.2 and now my phone will not auto-connect to the home wifi network. Each time I leave and return to within range of the network I have to remember to manually connect, otherwise it continues to use 4G for data. The credentials are saved (all I have to do is tap it to connect) but just won't happen automatically any more.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?Tried the reset multiple times. No go. Before the IOS 7.0,2 update my devices were connecting to home WIFI eventually.

I currently have a WPN824 v3 Netgear router and I’m trying to set up my Apple TV. I am able to connect it to my wireless network but my airplay feature is currently not working. The icon does not appear on any of my devices. My ipad and ipones all are currently up to date and are all joined to the same network. Is it the way that my router is configured. Please help let me know what I need to change in my router settings or does my router not work with Airplay. Or is there a simple fix.
you don't mention which products you use
only ipad2 and up support mirror
and only iphone4s and up support mirror
other devices only use airplay for apps which support tvout options -
Can printer connect to more than one network?
Hello.
I just bought the wireless HP deskjet 3050 printer. I've connected it to the internet (network) and it's working perfectly. Is it possible to connect to more than one network? We have more than one internet line in the house so I was wondering if I can set it up for both lines. I understand that I can print with multiple computers on the same network (and I am able to do so), but how about on different networks?
Thanks. No, it only has one network connection device so can only connect to one at time, sorry.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

Can't connect a Bootcamp Volume to networked Macs
The question: When adding a Network Place in WindowsXP so that I can connect it to a home networked Mac, what is the correct address statement I should provide for the Add Network Place Wizard? And what should I do on the Mac to enable access? All Mac's use Leopard 10.5.1.
I am trying to access home networked Macs from a Bootcamp volume on another Mac. (The Bootcamp volume has MacDrive6 installed so that WindowsXP can read MacOSX drives.)
I have run out of ideas trying to get WindowsXP to access the contents of Macs on the network.
The Sharing Prefs pane on the Mac tells me to browse for the Mac's computer name, or use computername.local. This prefs pane also advises using afp://IPaddress instead of browsing for computername. Both styles are rejected by Windows so I assume that this advice is only suited to accessing from the MacOS.
The joy of all this is that Windows DOES see computername when browsing the network but offers no further moves. ie., there is no chance for me to state that this is where I want to go.
If I use Window's suggested connection language, eg., //computername/share, Windows DOES see the Mac but claims my foldername is invalid. We do get to the point of inserting the admin username and password as required for the Mac. Then I am told, invalid folder. I have tried various versions of the name, long and short, but always the folder is invalid.
Leopard File Sharing Help says I should enable the SMB protocol. I did. Whatever I try as the SMB address in WindowsXP, it's denied by Windows as an invalid foldername.
In the File Sharing prefs pane I have also set up, as shared folders, the network Mac's HDD names, home folders, &c. Nothing works.
Since I used to have no problems with this business, has Leopard somehow messed up?*"If I use Window's suggested connection language, eg., //computername/share..."*
Your slashes are backwards. try \\servername\sharename -
