hi i need further help please,i have a windows 7 laptop no cd rom,im trying everything to connect printer wiressley,i have a bt home hub with wps,on the printer the wireless light is flashing,can someone tell me in lamens terms how to connect it,do i use the usb cable during proccess?i pressed set up pressed wireless hold till count 10 then pres wps,sometimes when i press the wireless button it goes straight to 2 min count down,do you advise i just get bt to do it for me at a charge,please help,thankyou very much

Was the printer purchased on one country but you are in another? If so you will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work. HP's web page on the subject is here.
You can find the correct cartridges for your area from the HP SureSupply site.

We have difficulty in using the printer for "photocopy" purposes. This is because our printer doesn't have "specific options" for paper sizes. When copying, the only option default in our printer was : A4 plain, A4 photo & 4 x 6.. Our question is, how can we have the "specific options" for paper sizes ( legal, letter, or A4 size )? Do we need to "restore to defaults" our printer? Can you give us a step-by-step instructions to deal with our problem? Thanks.

I cant find the printer code on my HP deskjet 3050 J610 all-in-one printer

I have disconnected wireless and turned off printer and turned on and re connected. I have changed DNS to 8888 and secondary to 8844. I have printed out 5 Network configuration pages and 4 Printer status reports and NOTHING has the printer code on it. How can I get one? Thanx, Anna

Hi Anna,
I afraid the Deskjet 3050 (J610) does not support any web service as ePrint or Print Apps.
Only the Deskjet 3050A (J611) support ePrint as you may find listed below:

Disconnected printer for a week. When reconnected printing very slow and laboured. Cleaned print head, and paper feed. Restored default and set up from scratch. In order to set the wireless connection, you should use the Software from your PC.
You will be prompted to temporary connect a USB in order to configure the printer.
If the sofware is not yet installed on your PC, follow the instructions below:

All printing with colors screwed up. no error messages. print and scan doctor says all ok. Cannot open software, check ink levels, alignment - nothing, yet it prints (black), scans and copies just fine.

HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer series - J6? what a load 0f rubbish,only one place for this the bin!
Purchased less than a year ago countless problems with wireless reinstaled more times than I can think and now paper jams so off to the bin, never to buy HP products again, being disabled is hard enough but having to going shopping for a new printer this I could do without. thank you HP.

I am sorry to hear that you are having that issue with the printer. If the printer is under a year old from the date of purchase, please call into HP Total care. The printer comes with a factory warranty that gives the owner free tech support on the product. Paper jams are a hardware issue. If all troubleshooting steps are done on the phone with the agent and the product is still not working. That agent who is assisting you will be able to give further options on what can be done. The number for US and Canada customers is 800-474-6836. Customers in other countries can find contact information here. I hope that this helps.

Unplug the USB cable. Now go to Start > All Programs > Hewlett-Packard > Deskjet 3050 > Add a Device. Run the program and choose Wireless as the installation type.
Follow the directions. It will ask you to connect a USB cable temporarily. Do not connect until it asks and remove it when it tells you.
Finally, when you are done, go to Control Panel > Devices & Printers and delete the USB instance of the printer so you don't get confused when printing.

HP Deskjet F2120 all in one printer driver not installing after upgrading to Windows 7

I have a HP Deskjet F2120 all in one printer. I was working fine in Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit.
Once I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit the driver is failing to install.
I have tried all the solutions provided on the HP website but none of them worked.
I also wrote a mail to HP support but they replied that its out of warranty hence they will not be able to help.
If some genius can help me I will pray for him/her that all his/her wishes come true.

I just got my HP Deskjet F2120 working in Windows 7. Here's how:
Insert the setup disk in your CD/DVD drive. Choose to view the files in Explorer. Scroll down to the file "Setup," which is identified as an application.
Right-click the file and select "Properties." Click the "Compatibility" tab at the top of the resulting window.
Check off "Run this program in compatability mode for:" and choose "Windows Vista" from the pop-up menu.
ALSO check "Run this program as administrator" at the bottom of the window.
Press "Apply," then "OK."
Now you can double-click the "Setup" file and run the software installer.
It will 100% work inshallah...

HP Deskjet 3520 e-All in one printer trouble with scanning network, connection and very slow print

Dear all
I bought two days ago HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in one printer serie, but i have some really bad issues with the scanner! I have searched on the internet and i couldn’t find anything to solve the problem.
I have installed the printer according to the book of the printer, so everything did go well(i think), except that i can’t connect the scan to my computer, a Mac OS X (i am connected with the printer). I get directed to the website where i can connect the scanner, but every time i try to connect it with wi-fi, i get two notification, one from my computer (from HP Itility (Dutch) program) that the connection is off and second from the website that i have to make sure that i’m connected with internet (which i am) and to check the IP address if it is the same with my computer (which is the same).
Obesely something did go wrong, but i can’t find the problem.
Beside when its copy or prints a document (no matter how many pages) it’s very slow. It takes 10 -15 minutes till the printer starts. Has it something to do with the problem i’ve got with the scanner or is the printer always so slow? Because the very first time, when i installed the printer, it printed very fast.
By the way i also print the test-results to check if there is a problem, but according to test-results there are no problems at all.
I hope that someone recognize this problem and can help me to solve it.

Deskjet 2540 all in one printer - does the scanning work with Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.1 ?

I was trying to scan a document using this new printer and my Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.1 and I cannot even find the page that allows me to scan since now it is all through the computer. Is this printer compatible with this operating system? and if so, what can I do to see the page where the file actually shows up to scan?

I recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks, but now my HP Deskjet F4580 All in one printer will not scan any documents either as PDF or as JPG, how can we fix this?

I have simialr problems, after i scanned the ducuments or pictures, i can save it for only once, but the file is just black pictures with many lines through them. When i try to save it again, then it says ''An error has occurred saving the file because it could not be written to. Check the properties for the file to make sure it is not read-only.', which then doesn't allow me to do anything of saving the file or even just to print it out.

I have a HP Deskjet 3040A All-in-one printer J611, I have had this printer for about 2years and everything worked perfect then I bought an Apple still all was alright but when I updated my software I got Mavericks and ever since then everything went wrong....I have updated my computer and have AirPrint now and also HP ePrint(currently). How ever the printer was not working or connecting.
Problem 1:
When I tried to fix the problem I uninstalled all HP drivers to reinstall - found that you have to install the apple app Done!(Airprint)
The printer was picked up by the computer and I can scan but I can not print, I'm using the USB cable, and when I print the computer shows it is printing and the printers lights come on but nothing happens(no messages display on the printer) then the computer shows the print is done - but the printer didn't print. Scan is working fine.
Problem 2:
Because of constant problems with the wireless connection I wanted to reconnect it to the router - Restore default.
But now because I don't have the HP drivers, I have no idea how to connect it and I tried both connection ways WPS is not working when I press it on the route...nothing happens and the PIN, where are you suppose to enter the pin, nothing comes up on my computer (USB connected)
I have read the installation pages over and over but can't figure out what is wrong, any advice would be appreciated.

I can certainly help you get the printer on the network and working again.
Follow the steps in this thread to put the printer on the network without using the software or the WPS button. I believe we have success doing it this way.
