HP 3051A Bluescreening my ASUS U47A

Hi,
I am experiencing a lot of bluescreens recently with my HP 3051A printer and my ASUS U47A laptop running Windows 7 x64.
I try printing a document, usually a large word doc or pdf, it starts printing and prints like 2 pages and halfway through the third page, it bluescreens.

Hi,
The issue more likely happen due to incompatibility with the USB 3.0 port you are using.
Unplug the USB and plug it into the USB 2.0 port, those more likely can be identified by their color - a USB 3.0 port usually will be blue colored.. on your PC model the USB 2.0 port should be the single port on its right side, right next to the HDMI port..
After switching the USB port try printing and let me know of any change, I believe it should resolve the problem.

  • Windows 8.1 Pro Bluescreen on Asus K53SC I bought on Amazon for 3D Modeling.

I got this Asus K53SC with an Intel Core i5 and a dedicated GeForce 520MX with Optimus. New Hard Drive with Fresh Windows 8.1 Pro Install. The problem is that even with Windows 7 Professional it would give me a Blue screen. I downloaded a Blue screen Viewer
and got this info from the dmp. Any help since I don't want to mess around opening it just to make sure it is a hardware issue, Thanks in advance.

intelppm.sys is intel processor driver or chipset driver
I suggest go to intel site and autodetect if there is updated driver for your PC
but its seems odd, when I check at Asus site, there is no specific driver for Windows 8.1 for this model. I suggest you contact Asus as well regarding this Windows 8.1 installed in your PC
tips: don't use more than 1 antivirus, MSE good enough for Windows8.1
remove or disable temporary tools like deamon tools or any HDD virtualization

  • Warning: Z3c doesn't seem to work with many common bluetooth devices. No fix immenent?

Hello. I just bought the Z3c as a replacement for the far-too-large Samsung Galaxy S5.
However, unlike the Samsung phone, the Sony fails to detect almost all bluetooth devices I've tried. In particular it fails to connect with my Jaybird Bluebuds X sports headphones, and a Bose speaker dock, both of which use an older bluetooth implementation.
I believe this is a Bluetooth stack issue with Sony's 4.0 implementation, though please correct me if i'm wrong,
Sony, any plans to fix this? Please address this for new or would-be buyers, many of whom have existing bluetooth devices and quite reasonably expect to use them when buying your smartphones.

You might have a defective device or it needs a software repair because all I use for my music needs is Bluetooth and I regularly use the following without any issue:
    - Plantronics BackBeat Go2 (headphones)
    - Altec Lansing InMotion SoundBlade (portable speakers)
    - Bose SoundDock 10 (home speakers)
    - Sony XSP-N1BT (car stereo)
    - Sony MEX-BT2500 (car stereo)
Additionally I have paired and tested the following devices:
    - Logitech K810 Bluetooth Keyboard
    - ASUS U47A (notebook)
    - a chinese Monopod (selfie stick with bluetooth)
And the Z3C has been flawless so far regarding bluetooth connections... not even one dropout. My older Acro S used to have an issue that prevents the BT from turning on, and the switch inside settings would become grayed out until a reboot.

I've heard that some Asus mobo's and the newer Creative cards have issues, any way to fix? I'm using the latest drivers for both my mobo and my sound card.

The clincher, as I know it is the creative drivers is this:
    X64_0x50_VRF_ctoss2k+5dde
and I have also, prior to this removed the Creative soundcard, and disabled all the drivers, and ran it with onboard sound. Now it ran fine for month no crashes, but the onboard sound sucked, so I reinstalled the sound card and enabled the drivers again. Soon as I did, within hours it crashed. I uninstalled the drivers, and purged them from the registry. Redownloaded them and installed them again. Worked fine for day, and the blue screens began again. I must say the drivers that are being put out for the consumers are well below par. They need fixed.

,Re: Enough is Enough. Bluescreen constantly+ Hello,
? I get the bluescreen whenever I load up a game. Sometimes it makes it to the menu, sometimes it doesn't. I have tried setting games to software sound, from hardware sound, but that did not improve it much. Unfortunately this is the only computer I have with PCI-E slots. So moving the card to another computer is impossible. And the slot it is in is the only PCI-Ex slot available. I wish I could help by moving it around to see if it is the card itself or not. As of right now, after 3 more bluescreens within 30 minutes, I disabled it via the device manager and am using onboard sound. I have not had problem since I did that. More evidence pointing to the card or drivers. If you have any advice on my being able to move it, let me know, I'll try it.

  • ASUS random reboots no BSOD, only a reset

First, Sorry if this is in the wrong place, second, sorry if it is a duplicate.
The last two weeks, My computer has done this once each week. I am half asleep at 6:30 AM and suddenly I notice my laptop just does a hard reset. I get no known BSOD, No windows recovery errors, no known error of any kind. I am seriously lost. I look and
see event log entries of this kind shortly after looking to see what just happened. Apparently this has happened 7 other times... I am at a loss, No solutions have been found or work for me, and I fear, if this keeps up I will eventually fry my system. I wish
I had more information to offer, but it either happens when I am asleep, or in some other location.
NEW Information: I also realize, that after installing my backup Operating system(Ubuntu Studio 14.04), is when this started. I am curious, Could this potentially cause a problem? If so, are there fixes available? Thanks in advanced.

Thanks again, I am not sure if Ubuntu is the cause. nor do I have any issues with water damage, I have not messed with the HDD or any other hardware. I have never dropped or bumped anything that would cause system damage, however I did somehow manage to
dent my casing around the screen, but it is nothing major. In other news, I may have solved the issue. I will keep you guys both posted if any other resets occur. Here's what I did at the end of yesterday:
I adjusted the page file to 12 GB (that was the recommended amount by windows) rather than 8
I noticed my Synaptics driver's helper process would consume 600 MB to 1 GB of RAM in a day or less. Perhaps running it for a week straight would cause it to use up all my memory causing an unreported BSOD? I rolled back the driver to one provided by MS.
I installed some ASUS PowerGear software.
Thanks to both of you for the replies. Hopefully this issue is fixed. Like I said, I will update you guys if anything happens.
UPDATE: Yesterday, around 2:55 pm, I was going to use the laptop in my class, and to my supprise I had a Bluescreen.... I hope this is a fluke, but Here is the dump file:
Crash dump and Sysdata.xml - Zip File (Hosted at my website)
Please let me know of any information. Thanks very much.

  • Issues with Arch, xorg and Asus eee 4G 701

Hello, this is my first post here
I installed Arch 2009.02 on my Asus eee 701(4G), the installation went well and the system was up and running within minutes. I configured the wireless card (Atheros) which arch supported out-of-the-box and updated the system with pacman -Syu. Then, I installed the intel driver for the vga of the eee and attempted to configure X.
The issues started at this point. "Xorg -configure" appeared to work, but when I did "X -config /root/xorg.conf.new" all I could see was the mouse cursor as an X and nothing more. The touchpad didn't respond and nothing worked.
Then, I tried using "xorgcfg" but even though the screen worked great (I could see the stuff displayed), the system couldn't receive any input from the touchpad and thus the result was just a little bit better than with "Xorg -configure". I tried to reboot and use a USB mouse to see if the cursor responded but to no avail...
As a last resort, I decided to use the xorg.conf found on the eee page of the archwiki. I downloaded it in my PC, saved it and used wget to move it from my ftp server to the eee. I moved it to /etc/X11/ as xorg.conf and attempted to run "X -config /etc/X11/xorg.conf" to see if it worked. Unfortunately, no result. xorg attempted to start and then quit with the error "Fatal server error:  no screens found".
That's pretty much it... I have no idea what to do next or why the xorg.conf found in the Arch wiki doesn't work... Any suggestions would be really appreciated...

I did what you suggested above, but it still fails. Then I studied the log and I found this:
Parse error on line 10 of section files in file /etc/X11/xorg.conf
"RgbPath" is not a valid keyboard in this section
Any suggestions on how to solve this?
EDIT: OK, the discussion page on the Archwiki helped. All I had to do was remove the  'RgbPath "/usr/share/X11/rgb"' line and xorg worked flawlessly

  • Cam I use Asus mini display to VGA adapter on mac with thunderbolt port

I don't have a apple mini display to vga adapter, but my friend have a Asus branded with similar design like apple, I have a presentation two days more, so I need answer quick!!!
My mac: 2012 mid 15 inch

I mean the Mini Display to VGA as in this website:
    http://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1002131/

  • Can anyone help me solve the problem of text displaying very rough on my new ASUS PA279Q display monitor running off my MacBook Pro?

This is regarding a brand new ASUS PA 279Q, 2560 x 1440 IPS monitor. I'm connected via mini display port (into thunderbolt port on MacBook Pro) to display port on ASUS monitor; using cable ASUS included with the monitor. Mid 2012 MacBook Pro…full specs at bottom of this post.
I have resolution set at 2560 x 1440 which is the native resolution according to the ASUS spec. I tried the other resolutions available in my System Preferences and text displayed rough with those settings too. I've tried adjusting contrast, brightness and sharpness via the ASUS control panel and didn't solve the problem. Also tried calibrating via Mac's system preferences/display and that did not improve text display either. All the text on this monitor (no matter what software I launch, Finder, InDesign, Illustrator, MS Word, Excel, VMWare Windows XP, Windows versions of Word, Excel, Acrobat, etc, all are consistently rendering text the same way ---  ROUGH and with "HALOS" around each letter.
All point sizes of text and at various scales, display very rough on the screen. (My comparison is the retina display of my MBP and a Thunderbolt…so those two displays are my expectations.) I'm using the same MBP for both a Thunderbolt display (at work) and this ASUS at my home office.
On the ASUS it's not as noticeable when the text is on white backgrounds, but I'm a graphic designer and compose images with text all day everyday. Not to mention the specs on this ASUS PA279Q indicate it's built for the professional so I would expect better text rendering. I haven't even addressed color calibration and balance yet, because that won't matter to me if the text won't display any better than it is now.
I was so hopeful after researching all the specs on this monitor it would be a viable alternative to the glossy display of the Thunderbolt display. (Which, I do love the Thunderbolt display for it's clarity and how it displays crisp, clean text at all sizes. (This ASUS actually displays text decently if I increase the text so each letter is about 4" high. Which is pointless for practical purposes -- that'd be like doing page layout through a microscope!)
I kept holding off on getting a monitor for the home office thinking the Thunderbolt would be updated soon. I'd be sick if I dropped a grand on piece of 2011 technology only to learn a few days later an updated Thunderbolt display hit the market! Not to mention, I'm praying Apple comes out with a less reflective Thunderbolt display. The glare and reflection is the main reason I looked elsewhere for a large monitor; hence my asking for help. Hoping the ASUS text display issue can be worked out. My expectation is for it to display like the MBP retina and Thunderbolt display text. That possible?
Alternatively, I guess I could do the Apple Refurb Thunderbolt at $799. And see if there's a decent aftermarket anti-glare I could stick on it?
Thanks for reading my post. Hope someone can help; offer any suggestions? Words or wisdom?
Has anyone else had similar issues and figured out a resolution? Help!
    MacBook Pro
    Retina, Mid 2012, 2.3 Ghz Intel i7
    8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    OS X 10.8.5
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
    ASUS PA279Q

I uninstalled those two items. It still runs slow on start-up and when opening safari, firefox, iphoto, itunes, etc. It's not snappy like it used to be. Any other ideas? Thanks.

  • [solved] Xorg-1.8 + KDE on Asus 1201n : dupplicated Fn key event

    Hello,
after upgrading to Xorg 1.8 one week ago, I noticed that my Fn keys (sound up/down, mute) were dupplicated. For example, if I press Fn+F10 (=MUTE/Unmute), the sound get muted and immediately unmuted.

    Nothing ?
Switchng off hal deamon and cleaning ~/.kde* has no effect...
So, after searching on google again an again, still nothing found.... even among the Ubuntu specific issue where post are terminated
with "wait next version of the package", the windows-style answer.
I will continue my attempts to fix this... but my conclusion about this is that hal was more precise in his behavior than udev...

Seems like /dev/dvb/adapter0 is created and removed, not even a /dev/dvb/adapter0 folder remains. Strange enough, on of the systems has a PCI DVB-S card and there the DVB-S adaptor0 is created but creation of adapter1 (for the U3100) there also fails in the same way.
Does anyone have a clue on how to search  for a solution?

  • Adobe Download Assistant not working after bluescreen

I like to get the trial for Photoshop Elements 10 but the ADA is broken:
Under Windows 7 I already used the ADA to download and install Adobe Premiere 10 successfully a week ago.
Then I tried to get Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 but my system crashed with a bluescreen. The computer is fine again but ADA is not working anymore:
    - after startup it doesn't list any (!!!) product to download. The list is just empty
    - I can enter my username and password and click login. Then the buttons are greyed out and nothing else happens. I have to kill the application with the task manager then.
    - I can apply for a new user account but it greys out and gets stuck like as the login.
    - The help buttons lead to empty Pages in the web browser.
I tried to uninstall ADA and reinstall it (two times) but the behaviour stays the same.
I tried to find direct download links (the FAQs told me that there should be some) but every download page will use the ADA. I'd be fine with a plain ftp page for the trials. :-)
I'm an IT professional but I've no idea how to get ADA working, wiped from disk to get it reinstalled or to download the trials on another way. Please help.

I will try to install at a different location this afternoon.
The other thread handles a different situation: "... the Adobe Download Assistant launches, asks me to sign in ... I get a nice "Welcome, Steve" message ... and a list of related products below with links to download their trials ... The Help link takes me to an Adobe Download Assistant FAQ page ..."
    - I cannot sign in and don't get a welcome message.
    - I don't see a list of products.
    - The help link takes me to an empty page.
BUT: where does the ADA get the list of products from? Is it online or local? If everything is online where I am blocked (sign in, list, help), I'll check the firewall. Perhaps the bluescreen crash changed something.

  • Ipad 2 not detected in recovery mode on my ASUS Windows 7 laptop

I have had this issue on all my idevices since I got this laptop, so this isn't directly associated with the new update.
I can sync my idevices with itunes on my laptop without any issues, but every time I try to install an iOS update, when it get to the stage where it is "preparing to restore your device" or some such, the laptop installs a new device driver and then itunes just spins awhile until it finally spits out error 1601 and then the device is stuck on the screen where it prompts you to connect to itunes.
At this point itunes on my laptop will not detect the device.  I can see it listed in my device manager and it claims the usb driver is working correctly, however it no longer makes the beeping sound when I plug or unplug the cable, though it does disappear and reappear in device manager, which indicates it recognizes ipad plugged in, but not in the same way.
I have tried all the advice on the apple website re: unintalling reinstalling itunes an all it's components, disabling antivrus, firewall and non essential services, removing usb devices etc to no avail.
If I take my device over to my parents 32 bit vista desktop it recognizes it, installs the driver and itunes recognizes an ipad in recovery mode and I was able to restore the software and update to the new iOS on that desktop, then had to bring it back to my laptop to restore the software from my last backup.
My first question is....when the new ios is being installed is it putting the device into recovery mode as part of the process or is it going into recovery mode because the process errors out?  If it's the former, then my assumption is that the whole issue is that for some reason something on my laptop is stopping itunes from being able to recognize my ipad while in recovery mode.  If the later, then ?
My second question is....is the problem the driver, the usb port or something else unique to the laptop?  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, but if i let winows detect it after uninstalling it can't find a driver and i get the exclamation point.  If i try to manually install per the apple instructions, it tells me that the driver file is not compatiable with my device.  So either windows is somehow installing the wrong driver while device is in recovery or the comp isn't detecting what type of device it is properly or ?
I'm hoping maybe i can get the next os update over the cloud and this will become a non-issue, but having to go borrow a pc to update this thing gets really old as the laptop is my only computer, so any ideas would be appreciated.
Laptop is an ASUS ROG - not sure the exact model running 64 bit Windows 7  It has two usb ports and i have the same issue on either one.
The PC i successfully updated my device on is an older Dell running a 32 bit version of Vista

Hopefully this will help you.  Try placing your iPad in recovery mode again.  You may have to try this a few times.
