Hp 3510 is printing horizontally from one computer and normally from the other

My printer HP 3510 has been printing horizontally from one computer and normally on another. Why does this happen and how can I correct the problem?

You try to print portrait, but it comes out landscape. When you checked that setting, was it at the document level or at the default level? The document setting overrides the default level setting.
If the document level setting is on Portrait and the document is coming out Landscape, I recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows. Does that help?

HELP!! WRT54G2 works for one computer, but not for the other

As your one computer is working fine then there is no problem with the router so far...
The computer which is not working...check the IP Address on that...
Click Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt...A black box will appear(Command Prompt)...In the Command Prompt window type ipconfig and press 'Enter'...Look for Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection IP Address , Subnet Mask and Default Gateway...
IP Address should be 192.168.1.x, Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1 (assuming your router is 192.168.1.1)...
If you get the above mentioned IP Address, Subnet and Gateway Address then you should ping the Gateway, type ping 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...If it gives you request timed out then disable any firewalls, security softwares on the computer...
If you get 4 replies then type ping 4.2.2.2 and press Enter, if you get request timed out, then you need to upgrade your router's firmware...If you get 4 replies then type ping yahoo.com and press Enter...If you get replies for Yahoo then you should get the Internet after adjusting the browser settings...
Adjusting Browser Settings : Open an IE, click Tools >> Internet Options, then delete all files, cookies, history, forms...Goto "Connections", make sure Never Dial a Connection is checked, click on LAN Settings and make sure all the options are unchecked...Once you are done click on O.k...Close the IE and re-open it...
If yahoo times out then provide static DNS on your LAN Connection...
Click on the Start button >>> Settings >>> Control Panel >>>Network Connections- Right click on the icon for Local Area Connection and go to properties- On the 'General' tab select 'Internet Protocol TCP/IP' and click on the Properties button- Select 'Use the Following DNS Settings' Preferred DNS 4.2.2.2 Alternate DNS - 192.168.1.1>>Click on Ok button to Save and Click on "Close" on main Properties window...You should be able to go online...

I've created two seperate itunes account (my bad) and I want to share the music between the two. My iphone has one list and my computer and cloud have the other.

How do I go about sharing between them?

Make sure both computers are set up to share their library on the local network.
iTune>Preferences>Sharing>Share my library on my local network.
Then, using the computer that you want to have the media on for yourself, go to the other computer's library, it should appear under Shared on the left, select everything you want to import and click "Import".
When it's done you can delete it all from the other computer, then you can just sign out of iTunes.
If you didn't do so previously, you'll want to authorize the computer that now has all the media on it with the older iTunes account.
Store>Authorize this computer.

USB/syncing problems on one computer, no problems on the other

So I've got major problems syncing/doing anything with my iPod on one computer, and 0 problems on the other.
Just a bit about the two PCs:
One is running Vista 64bit and iTunes 64bit client. It has 4 gigs of ram, an e4300 processor, abit QuadGT mobo, and a NVIDIA 8800GT
The second is a laptop by Toshiba, running Vista 32bit, with 1.5 gigs of RAM, and some generic Dual Core processor by Intel.
I use the exact same cable and the exact same iPod on both machines. However, on my desktop (the more powerful one), I have MAJOR MAJOR problems with any iPod connected to ANY USB port. My iPod classic would freeze my computer up, would take over an hour just to transfer a few albums over due to this mysterious stopping and starting bug while syncing (the iPod would sync maybe 20-30 songs, stop for 3-4 minutes, then restart; ad nauseum) My most recent problem was trying to reformat my iPod Touch and upgrade to 2.0. Every SINGLE time I tried to restore then upgrade, the restore process would fail and the iPod would be left useless. I have reformatted the desktop thinking it was a software issue, I have tried every single USB port on the machine thinking it was a hardware issue...nothing. I've even tried unplugging every USB device EXCEPT for the iPod...zip. The weird thing about it is the fact that all other USB devices on this machine run fine. I have 2 USB external HDDs, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse. All run with no problem.
Now, take the exact same cable and iPod classic and iPod Touch...0 problems on my laptop. Syncs just fine and extremely speedy. My restore/upgrade for my Touch went error free, and I was running 2.0 after maybe 20 minutes or so.
I'm pretty sure that the issue on my desktop is either a hardware issue, or a BIOS issue, since I've reformatted and uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes more times than I'd like to count. I just can't figure it out.
I will give uber props to anyone who can figure out this extremely frustrating problem for me!!

If you are able to sync on one computer, but not another, you have isolated it down to a hardware or software problem on the computer that won't sync.
It could be a USB timing issue as a suggested before, or it could be an issue with drivers, malware, or even security software on the computer that isn't able to sync.

Need an editor that can show mark up in one mode, and render in the other

I would like to write an editor into which i can type text (strikes me as a good starting point), the text i enter will contain tags, which are intended to comply with a Wiki style, so for example (Assuming MediaWiki):
''italic'' would result in italic
'''bold''' would result in bold
'''''bold and italic''''' would be bold and italic*
The key being, that in editting mode the tags are shown, and in viewing mode the tags are hidden but the text is styled.
So, sort of exactly what >THIS< text pane does as well (though using other tags).
I'm guessing there are a few ways of doing that, i was thinking over ridding the HTMLEditorKit, but have no idea where to start, Then i considered Syntax highlighting (though that does not notionally get rid of tags in different modes, and in fact would be externally modeless). My latest idea runs along the lines of creating a Document of my own, and switching between plain and my custom document ... but i don't know where to start, and for some reason can not find any examples (and i'm sure i'd found some previously)...
Any idea where i could get some sample source code on how to do this?

Actually, i've been thinking, and i do want to be able to fall back to HTML:
I would say that the best scenario would be as follows:
1) I can write my entire document using the Wiki notation
2) the notation is contained in a Resource Bundle, to allow for modification to individual taste, possibly [if implemented]
3) the Document / EditorKit / EditorPane is an extension of one that handles HTML, so if things get dire, and i want to put in something complicated like a table.
Which assumes that having effectively two languages HTML, plus an alternate markup language based on potentially dynamic tags, can be unified simply and painlessly.
The other argument in favour of the HTML extension would be that since i want to have Wiki type functionality, i will want to implement links to other documents, possibly subsections of the same document, which would appear simplest if i relied on something that already does links (but which i can not work out how to use yet either).

If you are using ConfigMgr 2012, you can enable inventory of local printers with the Printer Device (Win32_Printer) which will give you make/model and capabilities information. I do not believe it reports the serial number, since this is going to be
handled differently by every printer manufacturer.
If you are using only HP, there are ways to script getting this information.

My 2nd gen ipod shuffle will charge on my old vitsta computer but not my new windows 8 computer. Does anyone know why that might be? The new computer recognizes the ipod and I can see everything on it, change settings, etc. it just won't charge. Is there a reason as to why this should be happening?

and iTunes on an iBook G3 600 mhz with the slower USB

The other problem is that it will not sync and

Can Vid Chat with one computer login, but not the other--HELP!!!

When I login to my computer using my account, I am unable to video chat. However, when I login using my daughter's login, I can video chat. What gives? As far as I can see the settings are all the same. I can get as far as sending an invitation to video chat with somebody, but then it just churns while waiting for the other person to accept the invitation. In other words, they accept, but the last connection step doesn't happen. It happens when I'm logged in under my daughter's computer login, but not mine. Also, when I get an invitation to video chat, the same thing happens. I accept and then it just sits and churns waiting for that last step. I have a .Mac account and she has an AIM account, but it doesn't help when I switch to my AIM account. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Go to Users/(your account)/Library/Preferences and delete com.apple.ichat.AIM.plist and restart iChat.

I want to install winXP to my iMAC running Lion OS. I will use BootCamp. My winXP uses 2 disks with XP on one CD and SP2 on the other. Bootcamp seems to say use a one disk version.   What can I do about this paradox?

     I want to install winXP on my iMac. It has OS 10.7.2 and uses a 27" display. I will use Bootcamp and create a separate partion for winXP. Bootcamp instructions call for a single disk winXP CD with Service Pack 2 on it. My version has winXP on one disk and Service pack 2 on another. Will this be a problem? If it is, is there a solution?

If you just bought an iMac a week ago new, it WILL NOT support XP unless XP is inside a virtual machine. End of story. You will need Windows 7 if you plan to run Windows natively on any Mac in 2011.
Used models will run XP, though--from the Intel inception in '06 through the middle part of 2010.
However, consider that Microsoft wants XP gone--and badly so--even as it is extending security hotfix support through April 2014. This gives you two years and four months before you have to throw down for whatever's current at that time.
Windows 7 will give you a much better experience (dare I say more Mac-like?) than XP, as it seems to be better organized. The Taskbar, for instance, has become more like the OS X Dock in that you can "pin" things to it in a straightforward manner, unlike XP's seldom-used Quick Launch traybar.
7's also built to take advantage of all the snazzy new hardware you now have.
But don't let me sell it to you. It's really your call.

Please help. I have an image that appears darker on one page and lighter on the other

The transparency blend space is cmyk on all and the image has no effects on it. But when I move it from the one page to the other it goes from darker and more contrasted to lighter and less contrasted. Copying and pasting as well as taking the original and replacing does the same thing.

Is the image cmyk? It sounds like the image is RGB and that one page has transparency and the other doesn't, so it's only being affected by the flattener on one page.

I am using a PCI6014 DAQ board with LAbview.I have to generate two square waveforms at my analogoutput channels. The first wave form has to be contionously generated. The second wave form has to be started on every event occurence and wait till the waveform is complete(AOWait).

If you want to generate two square waveforms, I recommend that you use the counter outputs of your PCI-6014 board. You can set up one counter to do continuous pulse train generation and setup the second counter to do triggered pulse train generation.
Do you need the signals to have different specs than 0 to 5V? The counter outputs use TTL logic level signals, so if your square wave amplitude needs to be something other than TTL, you will need to use the Analog Outputs. It is also good to know that the analog outputs share the same update clock, so getting the data to output on the AO that is started from the occurrence may be tricky. I recommend using the counter outputs if at all possible. Check the example programs that ship with LabVIEW. Foll

Reply to this post if you are certain you cannot use the counter outputs.

I have 2 ipad 2s. On the newer one I can log in and update to IOS 5 with no problem. On the older one I get the message "Your Apple ID has been disabled." Why does it work on one ipad and not on the other?

Well, I spoke too soon. Yes, I'm using the same account on both iPads, but I just changed my password for the umpteenth time and now I get the disabled message on both iPads. Just yesterday I was able to upgrade one to IOS 5 but got the error message on the other. I'm getting more confused by the minute.

Telling me the sync key is wrong, even though I have changed it twice on my main computer and brought it the other.

When I go to set up Sync on the second computer it keeps telling me the Sync key is wrong. I have canged it twice on the main computer and let it sync to the server, but when I bring the new key to the other computer it says "wrong Key"

Why did Mozilla block Personas after upgrading to 3.6.9 on one computer but none of the others? A warning box came up stating that Personas was causing instability or security problems and was being blocked and would be disabled when Firefox restarted.

I am not typing this on the computer on which I experienced the problem. Consequently, the list of plug-ins noted under the list of additional system details here is incorrect. I am running Firefox 3.6.9 on all three of my computers. The netbook on which this occurred is running Windows 7 Starter. Both other computers are running Windows 7 Home Premium.

It is not Personas that are being blocked, it is version 1.6 of the Personas Plus add-on that has been blocked as it was casuing many problems. You can still use Personas without that add-on. If you want the add-on, you can install version 1.6.1 which has fixed the bug in 1.6, available from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10900/
