HP 4340s Battery does not get charged.

Hello everybody
I own a Hp probook 4340s. The battery was just fine, like holding up to 5/6hours charge. One fine (!) morning the battery stopped getting charged. I thought it was battery fault and I purchaged a new one and that also doesnot charge.
If I take out the battery the laptop works fine with the AC adapter. But if I put the battery in and plug the AC adapter the computer does not work, the indicator blinks 8 times in white color (generally, color of indicator is orange when it gets charged) and then stop.
I dont know where the issue is.. from the little I understand the battery is fine the charger is fine but for some reason the circuit inside the computer cannot charge the battery?!
Can anybody help please?
Thank you for listening me and highly appreciate if I get the right solusion.

I am part of a family sharing setup.  Can I have my own payment method so the organizer does not get charged for my purchases?  If so, how do I set this up?

Yes.  Just redeem gift cards so that your own account always has a sufficient credit balance.  Here is how it works:
    Family purchases and payments
After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer's card.

I upgraded to iOS 5 on my iphone 3gs now phone service (AT&T) constanly goes in and out and battery does not hold charge. Can someone help me?

It appears to be a bug in iOS5.  I have the same problem on the 3Gs and my new 4S.
    I eagerly await a patch......

To show the battery percentage used go to settings
from there click general scroll to usage and select
scroll to bottom of page for battery usage select on.
This will show the icon battery and the percent numbers on the top right.
When phone is connected to an outlet sometimes it does not always show complete charge. I do not understand why but it is what it is.
FYI I sent reply to you not to deggie. You can have your own satisfaction to reply direct.

  • Whlile connecting iPad to computer, battery is not getting charged

What settings to be made so that when I will connect my iPad to computer, my Pad's battery should get recharge. While connecting iPhone, it is getting recharged but not the Pad.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

  • My new Iphone's battery does not hold charge for long; do you have the same problem?

Greetings, I had a new iphone 4S -  bought March 2013, died suddenly September 2013. Iphone replaced by a new one, which seemed to work fine. Suddenly, noticed three days ago that the battery does not hold, even for one day, even with very little use. Charged battery yesterday morning, as it was dead, used phone a few times during the day, still had half batery full at bed time; this morning there was no battery at all - had discharged completely overnight doing nothing. Has anyone had this problem?
It means that I will have to travel a long way to the nearest store to have it looked at. Had already done this last September to replace a dead phone. One would have expected better quality and reliability from a Company like Apple.

Sounds like the battery needs replacing.  Bring the phone to Apple for battery diagnostics.

  • C6 does not getting charged

Hello, I recently bought a nokia c6.Charging does not complete while it is switched on. I waited more than 6 hours but it was not completed and battry drains after 8-10hours. but it get fully charged if i switched off and charge. what should i do?

It may be that something is using up battery in the background that uses it up faster than you can charge it. For example, leaving Joikuspot on has the same effect. As for 8-10hrs of battery life, it depends on how you set it up, as personally, after I set up a phone to my personal settings, that how long mine will last.

  • New Battery does NOT hold Charge

I just received my new battery from the Battery Exchange Program - the battery is actually worse than my original, it is still HOT, and holds a charge for about 20 minutes - maybe 30 at the most - ?
What do I do? Does anyone else have this problem??
    thanks, Mark

My replacement battery did not even last one calibration cycle, as it never held a charge again at all.

Both of ours were replaced for a very similar issue, so it may be worth a try to give AppleCare a call.
If you already sent the recalled battery back, get a case I.D. from AppleCare for the defective replacement battery. If possible, ask someone at your local Apple store if they have any in stock instead of waiting for Apple to expidite one to you. Apple retail staff are able to expidite the exchage at the store level, but you must have a case I.D., since it is not the recalled battery they are replacing. I only suggest this route, because there is an estimated four to six week wait for replacement replacement batteries; however, it only took a little over three weeks for mine to ship.
I hope this reply helps provide some direction!

  • TS3274 After few minutes of charging my ipad 2 it's coming on and i can see the Apple logo but it's not going passed that and the battery is not getting charged

Need help with my Ipad 2, after few minutes of charging the ipad comes on, i can see the apple logo and stops there and the battery doesn't get full charge

Have you tried rebooting the iPad?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If the iPad will still not turn on completely, then you should probably restore the iOS software.

  • Battery 2 not getting charged in HP Split x2

Hi All, Not sure if this a hardware issue as I just bought HP split x2 but after the battery 1 gets charged fully (100%), battery 2 says 0% available (plugged in, not charging). Is this battery issue or am I missing something? Thanks.

Same problem here: I have the following
    HP Split 13t-m000 x2 PC
Product number: E1N75AVOS Windows 8.1 No hardware has been installed or changed since I purchased the Split in October And I have had the "plugged in not charging" issue a number of times, and I am currently experiencing it again. Is there a permanent fix for this issue?thanks, I have run a "System Extensive Test" and the Primary and Secondary batteries both received OK(0)  Also ran Battery test from Diagnostics page again no errors but problem still ocurring To fix the problem prior I had to patch the BIOS on the machine, I do not like that I have keep patching the BIOS every month to fix this issue.

  • Blackberry torch does not get charged with a car adapter?

Blackberry torch 9800 gets charged from laptop and wall mount.
When I tried using thru car adapter it would not work.
I have checked the adapter, it charges the other non blackberry mobile.
My Question, do we need to have a special car adapter for blackberry touch OR
do we need to make some changes in the setup

That would be unlikely for a couple of reasons:
    1. The handset is only 4 days old.
    2. It charges flawlessly using the same cables on every other source - AC wall charger, laptop, PC, BB charging cradle, aan also an AC wall charger plugged into a cigarette lighter inverter! It always works in these scenarios.
The only time it fails (and quite consistently) to charge is when the charging source is a car cigarette lighter USB adapter. And it fails whether you use it in a car or with an AC wall cigarette lighter converter.
Please take a look at my other post from last night - I described all the things I tried.
If u still feel it is my handset, I would appreciate a referral to at&t. Minimally, I would like to try a new handset before replacing this one. It takes a long time to get it configured the way I want it.
    Thanks,
    Ashoke.
