Hp 4630 officejet all in one printing

Hi all:
I am having a repeat printing problem. 
When I try to print to HPofficejet 4630, I get this error message: "the printer could not connect to the server. check the internet conection or the proxy settings."
I had this problem when I set up the printer 2 months ago. This problem initially stopped when I hard wired the printer. All worked fine for awhile but has stopped printing again. The only way to print now is to turn printer on & off every time.!@#$%
I reset 'Web Services' and everthing else, connectivity wise, checked out. Not sure how to check & see if I have latest firmware update or drivers or even if thats important!

    Windows 7 64bit system doesn't have any downloaded HP in Programs Files folder but it has some folders downloaded on the 64bit Program Files (x86) folder, none of these folders have the HP Solution Center download, I’ve found the complete folder download but it doesn’t download what I’m looking for.
    HP 7310xi officejet all in one printer, eventhough is as your technical support considers it as an old printer, my printer is not abused and has worked fine throughout the whole time, the HP Solution Center was installed before and since I lost the software disk and your website is totally incomplete by not providing this useful resourceful printer window. It really sucks what you've done by not allowing a customer to find what's needed in your website to have your product completely work. You should place a life term limit to your manufactured products if your website does not support them, then as a customer I'd look for another printer brand.
    I've followed: Provost as per windows xp explanation and HP installer is not installing the HP software in Windows Program Files neither in Windows Programs files (x86), yes there's an HP folder without the main software, I've tried also removing %temp% and also deleted files from: C:Users\(your name here)\AppData\Local\HP\Digital Imaging, I've also tryied installing the full EU and was unable due to software issue.

    Hi Bob_Headrick, there isn't a CD software for sale, HP is not selling it, I've also followed every posted solution to get the HP Solution Center important software icon and have installed:

  • I have a HP g55 OfficeJet all in one printer.

    I have a HP G55 Officejet All in One printer. 
    I'm told HP has stopped making drivers for the latest Apple operating systems.
    I was wondering if I installed Windows xp and the correct G55 HP drivers for windows xp could I use the printer
    under bootcamp or would I still need drivers for the Apple OS.
    Thanks for any help I trying to decide what which way to go to update my desktop. Go Apple or fight my way through Windows 7 or 8

    There is an alternate driver suite for Mac OS X known as Gutenprint. It lists your G55 as a supported model so this would let you print directly from 10.9.
    Note that the Gutenprint v5.2.9 installer is not digitally signed, so the Gatekeeper facility inside Mavericks will block its installation. To get past Gatekeeper, you can hold down the Control key and click on the Gutenprint installer. A pop-up window will appear. Select Open and you will then have the option to install the Gutenprint driver.

  • HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer Black Ink not Working

    My HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One does not print black ink but the color ink is working perfectly fine even though the ink status shows that there is black ink left. After I've changed a new black ink cartridge, it will start to work again but after one day it stop printing black ink again. I've only printed a page the previous day and the ink status shows that there's black ink left in it (close to full). So how can I solve this problem??

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums!  I see you are running into some print quality issues on your HP Officejet 4630, you are unable to print in black ink, even after replacing the cartridges.
    I see you have exhausted the steps listed here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, with no success.
    Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
    If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. I highly recommend you call our technical support at 800-474-6836, to see what options they have available for you. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region.

  • My hp officejet 4630 e-All-in-one printer won't connect to the internet

    My printer was working fine. I hadn't used it for a few days. Now, all of a sudden it says it's not connected to the internet. I don't know if it's because it's giving a hardware address for MAC or if it has the wrong IP address. I can't figure out any way to give it the new IP address.

    OK, that all looks good.  Is the firmware updated on the router?  Have you restarted the router (pull its power plug momentarily)?

    My scans are giant (each page is taking 2-4 minutes to print).  Perhaps it's super-super hi res?  How can I change the settings so the scan still looks good but the file size is smaller?

I am linking a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find which operating system you are using. Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit. With this information we can provide you with accurate information.

  • HP Officejet 4630 e-All-In-One Printer problem

    I have installed all the software and ran all the tests and all areas pass. Test printing comes out just fine. But when I try to send something to the printer, nothing happens, the printer just sits there. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

    I still don't believe this, but I took a chance and pulled the USB out, then plugged it back in. It worked.

    The date shown on faxes I send show dates in March, 2014; the time of day is correct.
    There was nothing in the setup process that referred to dates.

    That's the Date and Time on the device (that was set the first time the device is set up). You can update this info on the device using the control panel.

  • Hp officejet all in one printer 4500 G510n problem downloading software and driver

    When i download the software and drivers for the officejet 4500, G510n, and attemp to extract the file it will not open indicating that the file is corrupt.  I have tried it numerous times using both my AOL browser and Internet Explorer.  Any suggestions Thank You.

    I understand that you are having a problem with downloading the driver for your HP Officejet 4500 printer on Windows XP. I am happy to look into this issue for you!
    When you finish the download, it should show how big the file size is. Does it show that the file is 224.69M after it is finished downloadng? Perhaps, it is stopping the download before it finishes. I would recommend trying another browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome.
    What version of Windows XP are you are using? If you do not know the Operating System you are using, please visit this website. Whatsmyos. Is it 32-bit or 64-bit? Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

    Everting works it prints  but when I tried to add my printer to my hp account it said. Adding printer to your HP Connected Account failed. And the  printer says the printer could not connect to the server. check the internet conection or the proxy settings. The internet works and when I run a test on it it says everting passes.

    Thanks for the post.  With this one, we may have more of a WiFi Network issue.  When you first setup the printer you indicated that the problem stopped when you "hardwired" the printer.  Does this mean that you had to setup via USB first and then change your connectivity type to wireless?  Was the printer not able to communicate with your network initially?  How close is your printer to your WiFi modem?  Do other WiFi devices in your house connect to your network without issue?   Check the below link for a great document that will walk you through some t-shooting steps to help narrow it down.  There is a section at the bottom that will assist with updating the firmware on the printer (if needed) so you can complete that as well.  Let us know the results and Good Luck!

  • FAX button not working on HP Connect site for HP Officejet All-in-One 4630

    I can send a fax using the printer, but cannot send a fax from the computer using the HP Connect page. It was working before. I can use fax set up wizard, manage fax settings but not send a fax button. It stopped working all of a sudden. EHW

    Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I see you are able to send a fax from the front panel of your HP Officejet 4630, but when you attempt to use the HP Printer Assistant to send a fax the fax option is now greyed out.
    I would first like you to make sure the printer's Firmware is up to date, please click on the link below to get started:
    HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer series Firmware Update
    Once you have updated the Firmware, try and open up the HP Printer Assistant, are you now able to choose the Fax option?
    If not, continue here and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor- It was designed by HP to provide users with the troubleshooting and problem solving features needed to resolve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan products connected to Windows-based computers.
    Are you able to fax from the HP Printer Assistant, if you still have problems leave me with the following information:
    1. What is your current Operating system, Windows or Mac and which version?
    2. How is the printer connected, USB or Wireless?
    3. Have you made any changes or updates to the computer?

    I am in UK & want to buy a new HP Officejet all-in-one printer/scanner/copier (with or without fax facility).
    I already have a fair stock of HP 350/350XL & tri-colour 351XL ink cartridges & bearing in mind how much they cost, I think it would make economic & environmental sense to find a new HP all-in-one that will take these cartridges.  I know they fit the J5780 & J5785 but cannot find anywhere in UK currently stocking these models.
    Would be EXTREMELY grateful if anyone out there could please advise me on which current all-in-one HP models take these cartridges and/or where in UK I can find the J5780 or J5785 for sale.

    Mine does this too - regardless of whether the cartridges are actually present.  It seems to do with the mechanics which move the tray underneath the cartridge home position.  Any solutions?
