HP 500B MT motherboard has a special slot

Hello, I have a HP 500B MT desktop.
On the motherboard, I noticed that there is a certain slot where a card can be placed in a parallel direction to the motherboard.
Can I put a Wifi card in that? I have a Wifi card from a laptop that looks like it can fit.

What we DO NOT KNOW, is at what level the OEM mfg. has support for this slot (e.g. mSATA, USB 2.0). It would be very helpful to know (from HP/Compaq) the OEM motherboard or better stated specifications on this PCIe slot (as built).

That distinction (functionality wired by OEM motherboard mfg.) has been an issue with various laptop and desktop motherboard mfg. before Lynx Point (Intel codename of PCH in Intel 8 Series chipsets).

You are right, Adobe does not support CS5 because it is no longer sold.
Simply download the trial version of CS5 from this Adobe web site and input your serial number.

MacBook Air needs system reinstall but has no CD slot

I have a MacBook Air, laptop. OS 10.6.8. I can't give you the processor speed, memory and storage capacity because my computer won't restart. I get as far as the Apple and the gear spinning and nothing else happens. I then tried to restart in Safe Mode, but it does the same thing. I tried different options, just "Option," just "Option-Command R", just "Shift R" -- the various ways that I found in the Apple forum to get to Safe Mode. But I just get the Apple with the spinning gear.
I did get to the HARDDRIVE symbol when I just used the "Option" to restart the computer. But there were no other options -- just the image of the HD sitting there. I clicked on it but it just went to Apple and the spinning gear.
I read if I could reinstall the system, it would reinstall over any issues I may have, and at least leave all the data that exists on my computer; however, how would I reinstall the system if the MacBook Air has no CD slot?
I get these suggestions to use the disk utility or repair permissions, etc, but if one cannot even start their computer, there is no way to access anything on it to repair. I first have to be able to access the computer itself and/or reinstall the system.

Mine has four Seriously shauntana the splitter is easy, a simple click to changre feed and eventually you will damage the HDMI port or cable by taking it in and out. True you can only use one feed at a time nut you can only use one port on the telly at one time too. I used it on my old one port telly for PS3 and Sky and it worked a treat.

Hello,I bought a Thinkpad T450s just 3 days ago and found out it has a SIM Slot, but when i insert a SIM card inside the slot, it doesn't recognize my SIM card thus making me unable to connect to the internet via it and i need help on how i can connect to the internet through that means. I don't see the setting where i should connect to the WAN on my laptop. I am using Windows 7 Pro 64bit and i need help. Hope i get some answers and every answer will be appreciated thanks.

While some ThinkPads come with full WWAN support, many are shipped "WWAN upgradable" with a SIM slot and antennas, etc. but without the hardware card needed to connect to a WWAN. This allows the customer to add a WWAN card in the future. Are you sure your ThinkPad is the former?

In transaction code EA32, while changing something else in a rate step, i found this error. Whereas earlier it was maintained without any error. Why, at this time when i am making changes in the variant control, this error is appearing.
Error Log is given below:

Diagnosis
Subtransaction 0040 in combination with main transaction 0050 exists in table TFKTVO. These subtransactions have a special meaning (such as transfer postings in invoicing) and can therefore not be used in the rate steps.
Actually, earlier there was no error of such kind.....but suddenly now it is giving such an error message.
Kindly suggest.

Motherboard has mold on it, anyone else experiencing this?

My MacBook kept shutting down whenever it felt like it and the tech tells me that there is mold on the motherboard. Has anyone experienced this? Is it able to be cleaned and to use again or is it trashed?

How can I use the power LED on my case if the case has a 3-pin connector and the motherboard (MSI RS480M2) has a 2-pin connector?

If you carefully pry up the plastic that holds the metal pin in, you can slip it out of the third hole, and move it to the second. No need to cut or trim the three pin connector. Also, LEDs have polarity, so make sure you are moving the right pin. You can pull both wires out and carefully push them down onto the connector on the MOBO, making sure the two are not touching. Then power up your system and see if the LED is working. Swap if necessary.

I connected my gtx980 on my 2nd PCI x16 slot and GPU-Z reads as x8.However,when I connected it back to the 1st slot,it reads as x16.Would like to confirm if that's the supposed outcome or is there any BIOS configuration that I can change?

Yes the second x16 sized slot is only wired for x8 operation. the only way a board like that could have 2 full x16 slots is if it has PLX chips but they are very costly and only get used on stuff like a X-Power model board!
so its behaving normally on yours as that is how its setup!

How to eliminate the column data which just has a special character

I working on a query which will query the table and returns only the meaningful data. In the table, I have the data like this

When I select the data from this table, In the result set, I don't want to see '%' record, '-' record. If a SearchWord contains the special character along with other alpha numeric characters its fine. But if a record contains only special characters,
I wanted to eliminate them. How can I achieve this?

Which table in APO has the SPECIAL PROCUREMENT TYPE field?

Also Is there any table in APO containing the value of material type in ECC

When you have special procurment key settings in R/3 for a material such that location B gets stock from location A (A---> B) , when you CIF the material to APO , a transportation lane gets created with source location = A and destination location = B. This source - destination combination is stored in table /sapapo/TR . If you want to get all products that are available in a particular transportaion lane you have to query table /sapapo/trprod. Means of transport is stored in table /sapapo/trm.
Also i dont think material type is available in APO (not very sure ). Material group is available and it is stored in table /sapapo/matkey.

My MacBook motherboard has died. What to do with my brick?

My daughter dropped her MacBook Pro one too many times, and the motherboard shorted (this, according to the Apple repair guy). Rather than buy a new motherboard (which was risky to start with), we got a whole new computer (a MacBook Air this time). So now I am left with a brick ... is there any market for this? I looked on eBay and didn't see much .... any suggestions would be appreciated.

Having purchased a Canon PIXMA MG5300 wi-fi printer for my new iMac that has has no CD slot, how do I install the drivers?

As the title says, how do I get the two devices to cammunicate with each other?

Note the new iMac isn't PPC, it is Intel. I'm asking this thread be moved to the correct forum. Since the issue is likely to do with the operating system drivers, I'm having this moved to the 10.8 forum.
