You can also try doing a System Restore to an earlier date when the sound was working..If that fixes the problem then check if there are any windows updates listed..sometimes it may happen due to driver conflicts after updates. In that case you have to hide the conflicting update.
Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem

Yes, I've seen a true SB0220 too on a picture after writing that comment so there is true SB0220 model. But, are you sure your card is SB0220? Did you look the number from a sticker on card board w/ serial number lik MSB022xxxxxxxxxxx where the SB022x is the true model number for your card.
Why you didn't got drivers installed for your card is, because the installer doesn't support the model SB0220 (supported cards are listed in ctcomp.dat -> this is the file ctcomp.exe patches).
IIrc, those drivers are the latest ones for your card. If you like to, you can try soft-mod your card the way, you can use Audigy series drivers (which are a bit newer) -> http://www.tech-pc.co.uk/audigy-2.php (i.e. you just use ctcomp.exe utility to patch the installer for Audigy drivers (use these drivers st - http://www.station-drivers.com/telechargement/creative/%20audigy%205.2.0.042.exe) (newer installer maybe can't be patched w/ ctcomp).

Welcome to the Forums.
If the conexant audio drivers from the lenovo website doesn't detect the device, can you try to:
1. Open Device Manager (press Winkey+R > type devmgmt.msc)
2. On the device manager, open Sound, video, and game controllers and Other Devices then check the status (if there's a yellow exclamation mark, error codes, etc.)
3. As an alternative, try this conexant driver from station-drivers:
Conexant High Definition Smart Audio
Version 8.64.59.52 (Win8)

Load error.Could not find the referenced object

When I open my created .jws file and complie the project, it gives the error

It tried, could do the update but not why and suggested I check in with this URL: www.firefox.com. Now, that didn't work either and I think that it may have said .org rather than dot com since when I used it I went to the FireFox web site which is Mozilla not that of a Fire Fox news site which it said was not the Mozilla site for dealing with the browser. The pop up has not recurred. I opened another FF browser window and still no pop up. I was hoping to find a list of recent up offered up dates would be listed but could not find that either.

Could not find supported audio device in AA3
okay so i know its not a good idea to use AA3 with Vista...but other people are doing it so why can't I? I've seen the topic posted before but the threads are pretty much dead and I still have no helpful info. I've scoured this thing with no affective solution. I've installed AA3 on several systems in the past and never had this much trouble--if any. This problem has gone on for over 2 months now!
Since I installed AA3 on my new computer all i can get and all i have ever gotten is the "AA could not find a supported audio device. Please check device settings" dialog--
press okay (or x) and Audition closes---never getting past the loading window --during "initalizing required components"
I have 3 audio devices/ with up to date drivers which all my other audio programs recognize (Audition 1.5, Sonor, Cubase + more) with no problem whatsoever--
AA3
Windows Vista SP1 64 bit
Realtek HD Audio
+ Presonus FP10 digital firewire interface/preamp (kind of unrelated but aa3 still wont recognize it either apparently)
I have installed all updates including the 64-bit SP1 fix for AA3.
I've read the Realtek HD issue solutions and made sure my drivers are fine.
IM DESPERATE----PLEASE!!!
I'm having a recording studio built right now & AA3 is my main DAW so this is rather dire.---All the other DAW's i've tried suck compared to AA3 (with the exception of stability). hehe AA3 is always crashing on me and yet i still prefer it over other DAW's.I put the PreSonus StudiLive 16.4.2 plus Adobe Audition 3 setup instructions into a short write-up on my blog: Live Event Multitrack Audio Capture

Really Strange Problem with Laptop Audio
When I first bought my HP Envy laptop, it had a nreally annoying sound issue. It's hard to explain, but I'll just say the main two problems.
Firstly, it's as if the equalization of sound was screwed up, because in parts of song that should be soft in volume, they're actually quite loud like the rest of the song and this resulted in static being heard in the background during these soft pars.
The second mian issue I'd noticed was that lowering of the volume of specific sound-playing programs didn't do anything. After turning the volume of youtube all the way down to just above naught, the volume of youtube eventually crawled back up to full volume.
Overall, the sound of the laptop just didn't sound good.
I've only observed this with headphones on. I've listened to the laptop with different headphones and with different media-playing programs and I've concluded that it's the actual sound of the laptop that is screwed up.
The weirdest thing is that after I restarted my computer to update to Windows 8.1, the sound actually became normal. I couldn't hear any background noise in a song that I shouldn't have and the volume of programs never returned to normal after changing the volume.
Unfortunately, the sound of the laptop has returned to how it was when i first got it, after I restarted my computer to finish an iTunes update (which I did yesterday). Knowing that the sound was actually fine for while makes me sooooo angry that it's terrible again and I desperately need help to return it to how the sound should...sound!Hi K-leb

I grasp that the sound on your Envy notebook is unsatisfactory. You did restart once after updating to Windows 8.1 and it was OK until you had to restart again, and it reverted back. Here is a link to a YouTube video on How to Fix audio on windows 8.1 after update.
You could also run the HP Support Assistant to help look for updates and resolving issues. Windows 8.1 also has a built in troubleshooter you can use.
Press the Windows key +C to open charms
Type troubleshoot sound in the search bar and press enter
Follow the on screen prompts.

No laptop audio from my DAP Jukbebox
After many years of portable use only with my fully loaded trusty DAP Jukebox 6G (worked perfectly every time) I wanted to install software/driver on a new laptop to be able to load it with new music.
I installed Creative Media Source 2.03.29 and JukeBoxDrivers.exe and upgraded firmware to 2.98 - all downloaded from Creative Achi'ves.
Jukebox is recognized in Media Source, library is available. Jukebox display shows "Host is in control"
BUT.... when I select a tune for playback there is no audio playback from laptop speakers. The play indicators move as if the tune is playing. Audio is playing in headphones connected to Jukebox, but not in headphones connected to laptop. If I insert a regular music CD in laptop I can control and playback using Media Cource.
Jukebox is only connected to laptop with USB-cable. Is this correct? Should there be audio playback through USB-cable? What can be wrong? Any advice appreciated!
GoranYou cannot playback music on the Jukebox and hear it from the PC. I think you could do this on the JB3 and later Zen models if you had a USB 2.0 connection but playing a song on the Jukebox from the PC always made it play through the JB's headphones, and I have tried it in the past with PlayCenter and MediaSource.
To work the PC would need to see the JB as if it was a hard dri've (which it doesn't) but all it is doing is sending commands to the Jukebox.

Laptop will not read any memory cards
Laptop Model: Satellite P500 (PSPE8C-026006)
I have tried several times to get this memory card reader to work. At first, I tried putting in a memory stick PRO Duo with the memory stick pro adapter (so that it could read it), and I was getting a "File I/O" error and that the stick had to be formatted. I tried again with several other different sticks and got the same error. I then tried to update the drivers for the device and still no luck. But now, the memory stick is not even being detected at all.
Could someone please give me a good link to the latest driver for this memory card reader + how and where the device will appear on the Device Manager list so I know it's properly installed.Satellite P500-026 (PSPE8C-026006)

RSPC Variant does not exist - Could not find or load print parameters
We are on BI 7.0 (support pack SAPKW70017). We recently freshed test system from production. After the refresh, we have problems opening all the process chains.
1. When I go to RSPC to open a process chain, I get many messages like this:
Variant &0000000067180 does not exist (there are different variant numbers)
Message no. DB612
Diagnosis
You selected variant &0000000067180 for program RSPROCESS.
This variant does not exist.
2. When I go to SM21 to check the system log, it displays many entries like below:
EJ F Could not find or load print parameters for step 1, job BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER/09134500
Documentation for system log message EJ F :
An error occurred during loading of the print parameters for a
background job step.
The print parameter record may have been deleted even though there was
a still a step that needed that data. This is an error as the
reorganization of the print parameters should prevent this from
happening.
To fix the problem, edit the step and save it, copy the job, or
schedule a new job. The print parameters will be regenerated in all
these cases.
3. I applied the OSS note 1169659 - Correction: Process variants not entered by BDLS. The Basis rerun BDLS. But it did not fix the problem.

1) Please verify if exist process types called 'unknown job'. If exist: delete process types called 'unknown job' in your process chain. To do that please remove the chain from scheduling (menu bar > process chain > remove from schedule), afterwards switch the detail view on (menu bar > view) > right mouse click on the process type "unknown job" > displaying scheduled jobs > delete that job. After deletion of the 'unknown jobs' activate and schedule your process chain again.
2) After the removal of the 'unknown jobs' please check if the error messages with the missing variants pop up when calling your process chain disappears. If not, please implement and execute the attached report Z_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT which deletes the jobs without variants.
I have already attached report as Report Z_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT, you can download and create the report accordingly.
