HP 5500 Extra page printing?

Have am HP 5500 networked printer spitting out an extra page after print jobs, has been going on for about a month now. It does this about 3/5 print jobs. When a user sends a document whether multi paged or not, it will print the job then prints an extra page saying
JOB STORAGE STATUS PAGE
Error: Unable to store job at printer
Reason: Printer not configured to collate
Solution: Install an EIO hard disk.
There is already 176 Mb or RAM installed along with a 81 RAM disk.
Ive tried turning off job storage, with no luck and turning it back on. I already did a firmware update and its still printing extra page. The printer is set to spool from the server. Did RAM check with no errors.
Running out of ideas, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks .

If I go to www.allrecipes.com, select a recipe and click on the Print button, FF prints an extra blank page before and after the recipe. The recipe is short and easily fits on a single page. I've changed all the print settings so that even the Header & Footer info is set to "Blank".

I don't understand why blank pages are generated, but I can help you with a quick hack if you like. This will strip off everything but the actual recipe area so that you can streamline the printout.
After you load the page and select your options:
* Open Firefox web console using Ctrl+Shift+k
* Next to the caret (>) paste the following script then press Enter to run it:
var rectbl = document.querySelector(".pageback table.recipeprinttable"); document.body.insertBefore(rectbl, document.body.firstChild); while(document.body.children.length>1) document.body.removeChild(document.body.children[1]);

Obviously that's not very convenient if you print a lot of recipes from this site, so you could save the script as a bookmarklet. Here's how:

Next, if you are not displaying the Bookmarks Toolbar, you can display it using either:
* right-click a blank area of the tab bar > Bookmarks Toolbar
* tap the Alt key > View menu > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar
Right-click on the Bookmarks Toolbar and choose New Bookmark.
Paste the code into the Location box (the second box).
Then type a useful name in the Name box (e.g., AllRecipes) and click Add.
Now, when you want to hack the page, click the button to run the script.

Two extra pages print with every fax received

photosmart 7510. Eprint prints one efax sheet record and one blank sheet every time a fax is received via eprint. Efax says to get in touch with HP. Anyway to just get fax and no other papers?

To the best of my knowledge, if eFax cannot get the cover page to stop printing, there is no way to get it to stop. The blank page that is printing out may be caused by the original fax formatting, or by odd spacing formatting caused by the analog to digital exchange that occurs. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Extra page printing

I recently installed the PCL6 Driver (Windows 7) for my HP Color laser Jet 2605dn. With every print job I am getting an additional page. I cannot figure out how to change the settings to remove this page. The page reads (something like):
GET /DevMgmt/DiscoveryTree.xml HTTP/1.1
Host 127.0.0.6:7070
Any clues on how to resolve this waste of paper?

In the Print dialog screen, look for a pulldown menu showing the current program -
Click it, and select Cover Page from the menu presented -
In the new info displayed, set the "Print Cover Page" choice to "None".

Extra page printing on HP P4015x

On every printing job I get a page that shows my username and job name and number before my actual job prints. Any way I can disable this?

Okidata printer timeout prints extra page after each job

After updating to Yosemite, I get the following problem. When printing to my Okidata C331dn, everything seems fine, but about 25-30 seconds later, I get an extra page printed with the following:
ERROR: timeout
OFFENDING COMMAND: timeout
STACK:
This happens every time I print. I am using the Mavericks drivers via USB (Oki has not updated their drivers, yet).
Any ideas on how to stop this? I am wasting a lot of paper!

I have had the same problem with an Oki MC560 color NETWORK printer, after upgrading my Macbook to Yosemite.
Now it seem solved after changing the printer network setting "IEEE802.1X" from "NO" to "YES"
(I don't know why !).
Now, after each printing, the printer remain "active" for some minutes, with "Data" led blinking as it should print something else,
and then it goes in standby (without printing the extra page with timeout error).

Invoice print extra page w/o any data in repetitive area or end of report

I did not use Page Footer and reduced those "hidden fielded" height to 26 with checkmark for Adjust Area Height, but the invoice will print extra page with blank repetitive area and page footer, Report Header and Repetitive Header showed.
How to remove the extra page?
I have another one that do not print the extra page but each page has same Invoice Total, Frt, Tax with Remittance Address that should only show in the last page. I know this is because I put Invoice Total in Page Footer. When I remove Page Footer to End of Report area then I got extra page with no data in repetitive area or end of report.

i think problem be create in Repetetive Area.
Do this in your PLD,
->> Open your PLD and save as a duplicate PLD (Just testing PLD).
->> Right Click in PLD and Choose the Display Hidden Fields in PLD.
->> Reduce the Height of all fields in Repetetive Area, Page Header and End of Reports.
for example,
->> Select all fields including Hidden fields in Repetetive Area & Repetetive Area Footer and
Reduce the Height in General tab on Properties Widnow.
put the Height -> 15 and Font Size -> 10
->> Reduce the Repetetive Area Height and put the Tick mark in Area Height Adjustment in Format Tab.
Try to remove all fieds(including Hidden fields) in Page Footer and Reduce the Height.
ex. Page Footer Height -> 0

Print at Bottom of Page option causing extra page at end of report

I'm using the option 'Print at Bottom of Page" in Section Expert for some invoices I'm creating. For some reason it's causing me to have an extra page at the end of the report. If I unselect this option, the extra page goes away. I need to be able to have this group footer print at the bottom at the page but not have the extra at the end of the report. This is the first time I've used this option so maybe I've missed something. All other sections after the group footer I want printed are suppressed. Any ideas?

I guess I didn't have the report footer suppress, I just had it minimized in size. I suppressed it and it seems to be fine.

This can happen when Firefox has misread the paper size from the information supplied by Windows. Clearing it can involve finding some obscure settings, but here goes:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''print''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) For each setting for the problem printer, right-click and Reset it. The fastest way is to right-click with the mouse and then press the r key on the keyboard with your other hand.
Note: In a couple other threads involving Brother printers, the preference '''printer_printer_name.print_paper_data''' was set to 256 and when the user edited it to 1 that fixed the paper size problem. If you see a 256 there, you can edit the value by doubling-clicking it or using right-click>Modify.

Cheque printing form always prints an extra page...

I have a custom form the cheque printing program RFFOUS_C. Now, my problem is that it
always prints an extra page even though the MAIN page doesnt have any line items. So instead of
expecting only 1 page it always shows 2 pages. And the worst thing here is that they I cannot customize
the standard program since it is the client's rule.
Any of you have encountered this problem before?

in your Form there is only One Page created?
just check if there exists any other page and in the Standard attributes of the page in "Next Page", the other page is set.
Ideally there should not be any page as the Next Page.

Pld printing extra pages

hi
i seem to have a problem with print layout designer. it seems to be printing extra pages for my clients AR invoice. it does not happen every time though. the client works with data brought into sap through a add on. we also feel that the problem could be due to the invoice not having to print all the child items and just the parent items alone.
the extra pages are basically blank with all the header and footer information. any idea what this could be? or what i should be looking at to rectify this issue?

It all depends on how your template is setup. Is you template set up as a Multi Page Invoice template.
As you have said it could be because of how the data is for the Invoices imported through the Add On.
What do you exactly mean by "invoice not having to print all the child items and just the parent items alone."

We have installed a new HP printer (devise type HPLJ5SI) . When we print the work order or anything related, at the end of the printing, there are 2 extra pages are coming. If we use any other printer, it works fine. Can anyboty help, to resolve this issue? Is this related to printer settings or something else? Really appreaciate your valuable suggestions.

This is a issue which occurs of a missing parameter in printer settings in SAP. Ask your Basis person to check for that missing parameter.
I also faced the same issue but I have lost the parameter name and value.

thanks for your prompt responses...added to the question, in the extra page i'm getting spool information.actually the program is set in background.once the invoice is issued the form is sent to printer.and in the spool it is displaying the actual pages only.its not showing the extra pages.but once it is out from the printer,i'm getting the extra pages with the spool information

Lion address book prints extra page

For years I had no trouble printing envelopes straight from Address book. But since I upgraded to Lion, when I print an envelope, it prints (1) the envelope just fine, but then also (2) a blank 8.5"x11" page. How do I get it to stop printing the extra page?

HP printers for years have had a problem printing an extra envelope from the Apple Addressbook Application with the # 10 envelope.
Solution: Select a #9 envelop. This prints about the same size and does not have an extra envelope.
How to: From Address book, select print, Style: Envelopes, Layout: Layout pulldown Official 9 then print
Interestingly the two smaller and two larger sizes only print one envelope. You can test this by clicking pdf and open pdf in preview.
On System 7.4 I cannot find a way to change the orientation to verticle as described above.
I have told Apple.
