HP 6310 all in one, the Print Cartridge Door Hinges are broken.

I have 2 printers HP 6310 all in one with the same problem, the Print Cartridge Door Hinges are broken.
Were can I buy the parts? is it too difficult to change them?
Is it a HP repair services in my area?
Is it any "recall" for this problem? I know same peobles with the same trouble
I thank you for your help
geny

Hi geny,
I understand the cartridge door latch has broken.
I will be happy to help you.
This is a older model so you might not be able to get that part replaced.
I have provided the HP Parts Surfer. It doesn't look like a replaceable part.
If you can get it to connect and tape the door shut so the printer recognizes the door is closed, you might still be able to still use the printer.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.
Have a wonderful day!

  • HP officejet All in one 4110/ Printer Cartridge

Has this ever happened to anyone. I have changed printer cartridges on my printer so many times with no problems. This last time when I replaced them, I accidentally put the black where the color should go and visa versa, When I discovered this I started to remove them from the carriage, snap down but it wouldn't come out same with the other one, they would not release. I can't for the life of me get these out of the carriage. It's like their locked in for life.. Before I take it to a repair shop I just thought I asked first. Appreciate your feedbackMsNO

    Hi @salsan,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that you are having a problem with downloading the driver for your HP Officejet 4500 printer on Windows XP. I am happy to look into this issue for you!
When you finish the download, it should show how big the file size is. Does it show that the file is 224.69M after it is finished downloadng? Perhaps, it is stopping the download before it finishes. I would recommend trying another browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome.
What version of Windows XP are you are using? If you do not know the Operating System you are using, please visit this website. Whatsmyos. Is it 32-bit or 64-bit? Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
Thank you for posting, and hope to hear from you soon!

  • HP 5510 all in one reads "print cartridge error"

Printer will not reset after I installed  new HP black cartridge.  I cleaned cartidges and printer heads as per HP instructions,
but same error message remains.  Is there a way to reset the printer?

Hello @mainelym , and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are running into cartridge errors.  I would like to help.
I would recommend removing the ink cartridges, and performing a power reset on the printer.Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would then suggest this document on A 'Used or Counterfeit Cartridge Detected' or 'Counterfeit Cartridge Advisory' Message Displays on t...

  • My 6310 All in One will print a test page but will not print from Publisher, Notepad, etc. WTH?

My HP 6310 will print a test page fine, but will not print from Publisher, Notepad, etc. It goes thru the motions, but the image printed is almost not there. I have new ink cartridges in it. I have adjusted the print settings. STILL won't print properly. WTH???

Hm, okay, thanks for getting back to me again!
Try power cycling the network devices:
Turn off the printer and computer and unplug the router for 1 minute (do not press any buttons on the router).
Plug the router back in and wait another minute, next turn on the printer and computer and test print again.

  • HP copier/printer/scanner/fax all-in-one The print screen on machine is lit but blank.

HP laserjet 8600 All-in-one. My print screen on machine is lit but blank. Unable to access prompts to operate. At times it will display home, right and left arrows and ? when touching those prompts it shifts  from right to left but goes blank when touching other prompts
I am unable to print a copy because prompts don't appear on screen other than those mentioned.
I can print only from my computer

Hi there klf, welcome to the forums
I understand your display screen is blank on your printer. I would like for you to confirm which 8600 model you have and I will look into this for you.
In the meantime try a power reset:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Tip: Plug the printer in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

  • HP OfficeJet 6310 All-In-One printer won't print in color with new cartridge

HP OfficeJet 6310 All-In-One printer  on a iMAC  OSX version 10.9.5 system
    Hello,
As I don't print in color much but had need to I discovered my printer not printing in color.  I trouble shooted and even replaced with an new HP95 new from Office Depot ( I never buy refilled).  The printer still won't print color but it advances the paper as if it was printing - just no ink on paper.  I have cleaned thoroughly the ink jet heads, cartridge area, and run all the alignment and printer utilities.    The test page print does not show color either.   I have no error messages.  Don't know what else to do.
    thanks

    Hi there @dhengr!
Thanks for contacting the HP Forums!
I can see your having a print quality issue with your HP OfficeJet 6310.  I should be able to provide documentation that will help locate a resolution.  You mentioned you have already tried another  HP95 tri-color cartridge with no resolution.  I also noticed you said that the quality report from the printer also has no color ink.
If a stand alone test report is performed from the front of the printer such a printhead cleaning or print quality report and there is no color on the page then you are likely looking at a hardware issue within the printer.  I have provided a document regarding Missing, Faded, or Dull Colors on the HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer.  If you follow the document from start to finish and still have the same issue then I would recommend contacting our HP tech support via phone.  They deal with hardware warranty and replacement options.
Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html

  • Receiving a false paper jam error message for a 6310 all in one printer

I have an hp 6310 all in one printer.  It is showing a false paper jam error message with no paper in the printer.  I have tried all  of the fixes that have been suggested on the website as well as on you tube to no avail.  Nothing works, I have cleaned all of the parts that have been suggested to clean and reset the printer. I am still receiving the same paper jam message with no paper in the printer.  Does anyone have any suggestions to try to fix this printer.

Do you here any clicks or other sounds when the 6310 first starts up?
I'm trying to fix false paper jam error on Sharp Fax/copier,F0-4450.
When researching the problem, found suggestion that a bad solenoid could cause that error.
After completely disassembling the copier found that wasn't the problem.
I here 2 clicks during start up that sounds like gear slipping a tooth, as if something is preventing a shaft from turning.
    Back to the drawing board.
UPDATE!!! Took fuser out, turned gears with screwdriver til 81/2x11 paper went thru, lubricated ends of fuser roller with powdered graphite lube.
    3 page fax came thru.

  • Problem setting up HP 6310 all-in-one printer/scanner

I have just installed archlinux for the first time, and so far everything is working great except for a HP 6310 all-in-one printer/scanner. This printer is connected by wire to a router, and the computer communicates with the router over a wireless connection. I have managed to install the printer through cups and print a test page. The problem is getting hplip and sane set up. I belive that if I get hplip set up correctly that that will take care of the sane problem.

I have a feeling that the problem is here:
warning: Printer is not HPLIP installed. Printers must use the hp: or hpfax: CUPS backend to function in HPLIP.
Something about the backend isn't right, but I'm out of my depth here. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
One other point. It works with no problem in Ubuntu with both hplip and sane, so I know it is possible. I just haven't figured out the trick yet.

Well, it's fixed now, but I'm not sure why. I hooked up a HP 3970 usb scanner to my computer and when I started xsane it not only found it, but also found the 3610 all-in-one on the network. I checked hp-tools, and the 3610 was there also.So everything is working now, but I'm still curious as to why the 3610 wouldn't work with sane and hp-setup until I plugged in the 3970 to the computer.

  • Hp 6310 all in one printer keeps automatically uninstalling

    HP 6310 All-in-one printer purchased in 2008.
The printer keeps automatically uninstalling itself.
    1.  I have tried everything including downloading drivers.
    2.  I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled from disc.  It still keeps happening.
    3.  I have tried leaving the computer and printer on over night so that the setup does not change.  No it still happens.
    4.  Even when I do get it printing.  It can print of some pages.  The after some pages it decides that it and the printer has again uninstalled.
    5.  It can take hours to get the printer to work.  Installing, switching the printer on and off.  Even when the printer is set up and states its all ok.  The printer won't work.  Well sometimes it might but mostly not.
    HELP.

  • What to do with 6310 all in one printer when done with it?

Want to sell, donate, or recycle (in that order) my HP 6310 All-in-one printer.  The door no longer shuts and an eror message frequently appears saying "carraige jam".  We simply push "OK" and it works.   Instead of trying to fix it -- we bought a new printer.  So, what do we do with our old printer?
PS - I suspect an HP tech could fix this printer in 2 minutes and a handy computer type could fix it 15 minutes.

Hi @6310endgame, thanks for reaching out to the HP Forums!
    If you are still wondering what do do with the 6310 printer I can help. In order;
Sell: You could try on online site and note that is is currently non functional, or maybe post it for parts
Donate: You could take it to a local mom and pop shop, perhaps they should use it for parts to repair another model, or they could repair yours.
Recycle:  Take a look at the following link; Product return and recycling.
I apologize for the delay, but I hope this resolves your inquiry!

    To answer your question, no the Officejet 2620 is not a wireless printer;
     - Source: Printer specifications
As for the USB cable, personally, I believe the intention is to bring down the cost of the printer by selling the USB cable separately. Many people already have printer USB cables kicking around the house, so instead of paying more for the printer and having an extra cable I believe the theory is reduce the cost and sell the USB separately for those who need to purchase one.
I hope this answers your inquiry.

  • 6310 All In One - Crashes IE7 when printing, (hpzui054.dll?)

I am calling on all you HP experts out there to assist me with a problem I’ve been experiencing with an HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One printer.  What happens is the employee will be printing web based reports from Internet Explorer.  She will click Print from the file menu and make some preference settings (draft mode, BW printing, fast printing).  The print dialogue box appears fine and she can make those preference changes, however, it is when she presses the print button that she witnesses the error.  What happens is, IE7 will crash (IE has experienced an error and must close…).  Her IE windows will close and the printer will not print the page.  She commented that she “knows” when the crash is about to occur because after pressing the print button, nothing happens for a few seconds, then IE crashes.  This is not every time she tries to print.  She may print (the exact same website) 5 or 6 times in succession and it will print fine.  Then, out of the blue, it crashes.  In one instance, she received an IE crash when she clicked the “Preferences” button in the print dialogue box.
Printing in Word and Excel has not appeared to cause this problem.
    System Specs:
The laptop experiencing the problem is a Dell E6400 32bit system running Windows XP SP3 with 2GB of ram and an 80gb hard drive and Internet Explorer 7.0.  It has all critical updates as of the week of the 23rd (Februrary).  .Net frameworks include: 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 2.0 SP2, 3.0 and 3.5.  The laptop is a fresh install, and the employee commented that this problem happened on her original laptop before it was recently upgraded.
Driver version is the latest (7.0.1), right from HP’s support website.  Connection method is USB.
What I have tried so far:
Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer using the included factory driver CD.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer using the FULL driver package from HP’s website
Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer using JUST THE DRIVER from HP’s website.
Attempted to print without selecting advanced preferences (Fast draft, BW printing, etc)
Errors details obtained during the times the crash occurred:
    AppName: iexplore.exe        AppVer: 7.0.6000.16791       ModName: ntdll.dll
    ModVer: 5.1.2600.5512         Offset: 000429fa
I hit properties, then features, and error came before I could select fast draft.

    ModName: ntdll.dll      ModVer: 5.1.2600.5512      ModStamp:4802a12cf

Our corporate issued laptops contain a “core” base group of programs (Office 2003, Adobe Reader, Vipre Antivirus, Sun Java, Google Toolbar).  We try to keep them clean of any unnecessary programs that may conflict.
*Mention*, I have “Data Execution Prevention” on for Explorer.exe file.  I understand there was a bug a while ago that caused certain HP printers to print blank pages if this was enabled.  Not sure if it’s the same here.
Hopefully the information I provided helps lead towards a fix for this rather annoying bug.  Reinstalling the operating system and/or reverting back to IE 6.0 is not an option.  The employee was reporting this problem with an older corporate laptop she was issued and I wanted to wait and see if the problem carried over onto the new laptop, which it did.  Let me know if you need any additional information from me and I thank you in advance.

I have had no luck in troubleshooting the problem with the HP 6310 driver.  After doing some reading on the forums, I was pointed in the direction of using an alternative driver.  The forum poster recommended using the HP DeskJet 990c or HP DeskJet 5940 driver.  I tested both of these alternate drivers out and they sent print jobs just fine.  Below are instructions on how to setup an alternate print driver (using the 990c driver).  Those wanting to use the 5940 driver must download and install that driver first, then follow the steps.  The 5940 driver offers some advance features (such as "Fast Draft"), that the 990c driver does not.
Step 1:  Install an alternate printer driver
To install an alternate printer driver for a HP DeskJet 990C printer, follow these steps:
    1.  Click Start, Printer and Faxes.
    2.  Double-click the Add Printer icon.  Click Next.
    3.  When prompted, choose Local, and then click Next.
    4.  In the Manufacturers list, choose HP.
    5.  In the Printer list, choose the HP DeskJet 990C printer, and then click Next.
    6.  Choose LPT1 as the port, and then click Next.
    7.  The printer name should be listed as HP DeskJet 990C Printer.
    8.  Click No when the "Do you want your Windows based programs to use this printer as your default printer?" message appears.  Then click Next.
    9.  Click No when the "Would you like to print a test page (recommended)" message appears.  Then, click Finish.
Step 2:  Configure the alternate printer driver
      1.  In the Printers Window, right-click the icon for HP DeskJet 990C printer.
      2.  Click Properties.
      3.  Click the Ports tab.
      4.  Click the down-arrow where it says "Print to the Following Port." Select DOT4_00x port that the all-in-one software created.  The all-in-one's model number should appear as part of the port destination.
      5.  Leave the HP DeskJet 990C printer identified as using the following driver, and click Apply.
      6.  Close the Printer Properties window.
It is still too early to tell if this drive will be a suitable substitute.  However the tests so far have appeared promising.

  • 6310 all-in-one won't print!!!!

    6310 all-in-one will not print--after reload of driver...driver is up to date---still won't print!!!

What operating system? Does the Officejet 6310 still make copies correctly?

I'm betting that the contacts inside the printer or on the ink cartridge are dirty. This happens over time. The document below will walk you through cleaning the contacts. Let me know what happens.
