Hp 6500A plus wireless printer = hp eprint not working with pdf
I have a brand new HP 6500 A plus wireless printer.
I tried to print using hp eprint center by sending a pdf as attachement to printers email address.
But the printer doesn't like the pdf and prints a error page instead with below message.

Oh..Yes. It worked. !!
Thanks Jack for your inputs, that helped a lot.
The issue was not with the printer, but that the PDF document itself was a secured PDF document.
I tried copying the document from my pc to mac and tried to open the document and what i saw was exactly what got printed earlier in my first post. Tried attaching to my email and when downloaded, the document had just those text that got printed (also pasted below).
Finally got it working when directly printed from the pc over wireless(or wired). Looks good now .

AcroPDF ActiveX print functions are not working with Reader 9.2/9.3. Tried ActiveX print functions like printPages(), printAll(), printWithDialog(), none of them is working. Tried on platforms: XP 32 bit and Win7 32 bit. These print functions all work fine with Adobe Reader 9.1.0. or 8.2.0 or 8.1.0 on XP 32 bit or Win7 32 bit.
The way I have my setup: I have created a C/C++ project with AcroPDF MFC ActiveX classes. I have created an AcroPDF object in there, and then calling it's LoadFile() function passing a pdf file in the parameter. Then calling the printPages() or printAll() function. With Adobe Reader 9.1.0. or 8.2.0 or 8.1.0, printing is starting through the default printer without any problem. As soon as I update the reader version to 9.2 or more, the same code stops working.
Is anybody noticing any similar issue? Any info on this will be highly appreciated. Thank you!Unfortunately printWithDialog() is also not working. Actually none of the print functions like Print(), printWithDialog(), printPages(), printPagesFit(), printAll(), printAllFit() are working. All of them works fine though with older reader.
BTW, what security related changes are there for printPages() and printAll()? Can you please elaborate on that? Is there any workaround? -
Why does my printer HP 3080 not work with Mac OS X VERSION 10.7.5
Why does my printer HP 3080 not work with Mac OS X VERSION 10.7.5. Am I missing a driver? If so where do I go to download it? thanks
What's the full model number and name of the printer? I can't seem to find any HP printer with the numbers 3080 in the model number.
How are you connecting the printer to the Mac?

Wireless-Card doesn't not work with WPA/WPA2 but with WEP [Solved]
Hello I have a MacBook (late 2007) with a wireless-card from Broadcam, the card works with WEP and the classic configuration over rc.conf very well. But I can't get the card running with WPA and the net network-profiles.

Easy Print VI panel not working with 64-bit windows vista
We have a significantly sized application developed in Labview 8.2.1 that is designed to work on a standalone computer. This application uses "Easy Print VI Panel" to print report pages which are basically front panels of various VIs. The application also prints some report pages using the "Print Report" module. Typically we use the application builder and use the generated installer to install the application on a target computer. We also include the appropriate Run-Time engine and NI VISA 4.1. The applications works exactly as designed on all versions of 32-bit Windows (ME, XP, Vista). Now, when this application was installed on a machine running Windows Vista 64-bit, attempts to print reports resulted in a lot of blank pages. I noticed that the report pages that are based on the "Easy Print VI Panel" module were blank whereas the ones that are based on the "Print Report" module were not blank.
To further troubleshoot, I created a very small application. The only function of this application is to use the "Easy Print VI Panel" to print the front panel of another VI that I bundled inside the application. I observed the same behavior.
From what I can tell, either:
1. "Easy Print VI Panel" with Labview 8.2.1 is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit
2. The Labview Run-Time Engine 8.2.1 has some incompatibility with Windows Vista 64-bit (I have not tried to install the full development system on the 64-bit Vista computer)
Any insights as to what may be causing this? or does anyone know of a fix for this issue. I am attaching the latter simple test code to the post.
Thanks

test_print.vi 18 KBSorry Sam, I couldn't get my hands on a 64-bit Vista machine to tinker with your VI. I got a little obsessed with trying to get ahold of a computer to test it out on, that I overlooked actually taking the time to think about the problem. But, now that I'm thinking about it, which operating system did you build this application on? Sometimes an application that was built in another OS than it's running on will have problems caused by the differences in the OS. I'd like to try building the application in 64-bit Vista and deploying it to another 64-bit Vista machine, but unfortunately, I can't test this out myself. My gut feeling is that the application is acting up because it wasn't built in 64-bit Vista, not because the Easy Print VI or the 8.2.1 Run-Time Engine themselves are incompatible with 64-bit Vista. If you can, please test out that theory. That will definitely help determine if it's truly a bug or not.

Print function is not working with certain websites, specifically PNC bank
When trying to print on specific websites, all that is printed is a blank page, no content. This specifically happens on PNC website, but has occurred on others as well.
Hi vermontgolfer,
I am sorry to hear that the printing is not working for this website. If you go to about:permissions and look for the website name you can check to see if there are any saved preferences that may be causing this.
Since they are printing blank pages, please make sure that you have updated to version 29.0.1 as this was a bug in pdf.js that was fixed with this update. If you are not using pdf.js you can reset the printing settings with these references: [[Fix printing problems in Firefox]] -
Brother Printer HL-5250DN not working with my new MacBook Pro - HELP
Hello there, I just purchased a new MacBook Pro - I've had to use PC (yuck) for work and had an IBook which was great until the dog knocked it off the dresser ...... Anyway, so I've replaced it with the Pro and love it - of course. Except......
My problem is this Brother printer (HL 5250DN) which has been an absolute workhorse, but try as I might I can't get this Pro to print - unless I physically hook it to a USB port and print, which defeats the purpose of having a wireless network allowing me to print from anywhere.....
I have tried suggestions from previous posts (unzipping the gz files - resetting the printer) but still nothing works... Any other suggestions - I'm going nuts here and Brother help line can't seem to give me a solution that works... HELP..... I really want to get going (New Years Resolutions and such) on my new projects and am absolutely grounded with this thing....
MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.5.5)Check the Dell website for compatible printer drivers you can download and install.
Once the drivers are installed, open System Preferences > Print & Scan > Print
Then click + to add the printer.

after installing snow leopard on my macbook pro my airport express will not work...or will connect only for a minute at a time.
If you mean by "airport express" the square airport router you plug in and has a usb port then run the Airport Utility located in your Utilities folder to set it up again. If AU doesn't see it you may need to do a re-set of the AE.

Apple Wireless Keyboard - some keys not working with iPhone 5

All keys work except the following:

Tab
I can understand if iOS has no concept of Tab, but Space and Delete are essential.

My printer shows an error code 0x6101bed and when it tries to print the is a very loud clicking sound that lasts about 2-3 seconds before the paper jam error shows up. I've looked in the machine but I do not see any paper jammed anywhere. What could be the problem and how can I fix it.
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hi,
If you think it is coming from the "clicking noise", it could be cartridge carriage related. Especially, as the carriage moves side to side. Since your printer is only two weeks old, if it were me... I'd call the tech support center at 1-800-HPINVENT. They might have additional troubleshooting to try. Generally, the 0x error messages have to do with the cartridges and show up on the front panel during printing and resets typically take care of error message.

Canon MP620 print driver does not work with Snow Leopard
Bought a Macbook & bundled Canon MP620 printer in Dec 08. Two days ago upgraded to Snow Leopard, and I can no longer print (the printer is not recognized), it only sees "Bonjour scanner" (the printer is a multi-function printer, copier, fax, scanner). Spent more than two hours with two different Apple tech support people over the phone; talked to Apple personnel in store. My printer is connected via Ethernet cable to a wireless modem, and I connect to the wireless modem via Airport. The phone tech person insisted that this printer is supported by Snow Leopard, but we reloaded the print driver from the Snow Leopard installation disk with no results. Finally my last resort, which worked, is to go to Radio Shack and get a cable that has a USB-A (printer) to USB-B (Mac) attachment. I was able to print. It is unacceptable for Apple to have this problem, as I went into the store four different times to discuss whether I should upgrade to Snow Leopard, and was told on every occasion that Snow Leopard will make everything run faster, more smoothy, etc. NOT! I want Apple to post a notice on their web site to a) confirm their print driver problems with Snow Leopard and b) to confirm WHEN new print drivers will be released.
Have a look at my last posting re Canon network printing.

Digi@nwhere A/D Plus on Windows XP MCE (not working with Media Center)
I just recently bought a MSI Digi@nywhere A/D Plus from Newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815127008 to replace the WinTV by Hauppage that came with my HP Media Center m7640n, after installing the card and drivers, I am able to watch TV in the ArcSoft application that came on the CD, but using the Windows Media Software
I've applied every possible update/rollup for my Windows Media software, but it just says Quote
"At least one tuner that supports a standard (NTSC) TV signal must be installed to configure the TV signal. Please ensure that your tuner hardware is correctly installed, restart the computer, and try again."
What am I doing wrongly that Media Center is not finding the card? Since my software is the 2005 version, from what I've read supports ATSC, and was listed on the Newegg.com and MSI spec as supported.

Windows XP SP2 / MCE 2005 / Vista (when using MCE 2005 OS, an extra 3rd party DVD decoder must be installed) / Windows 7
Is the 3rd party DVD decoder required for device use or just for burning to disc?Quote from: Stu on 30-October-10, 17:38:44
Did you use the latest driver from here?
http://eu.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=132&prod_no=1948
Yeah, I've got the "Digi@nywhere A/D Plus BDA driver" installed on my PC
and my "device manager" shows that it's currently the 1.345.9.1009
I can view the TV in the ArcSoft TotalMedia software and everything works fine, but Media Center still fails to recognize the card. I'd really prefer Media Center because of it's enhance EPG & recording scheduling over TotalMedia
Is there something more to be done to/with Media Center? Registry edit or 3rd party add-on that I'm missing? -
