Hi:
You need to install the amd chipset driver first and reboot.  You want the first file listed on the webpage.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows%207%20-%2064
Then install the graphics driver from your notebook's support page and reboot.

I would need to know what model wireless card your model uses in order to post the links to the wireless and bluetooth drivers for W7.

  • Help with importing video from digi camera

Hey guys, we made a short movie on the spur of the moment so we just used my digital camera and when I plugged it into the computer it would only show up in iPhoto obviously. But I imported the movies into iPhoto and then I was hoping to import them from there into iMovie but when I do it only zooms in on the first frame and doesnt play the clip. Is there any way to be able to get a video off of the digi camera and be able to edit it on iMovie, Thanks.

Another thing you can do, is put the video clip on your desktop from your digi camera. And then in iMovie, do File > Import and then open your video clip from your desktop.

  • Gettin videos from dig cam etc -- to iPod plus probs w/vids havin no sound

I have at my witz end. I will be so thankfull if anyone is able to help me. I have been on the phone everyday with Apple's cust. support # trying to get videos I have from my Sony DSC T-1 dig camera to my iPod video. I have downloaded quicktime pro witht eh 30 dollars upgrade off of apples website. I have been going to (in quicktime program) FILE ....EXPORT....(under export i selected movie to ipod 320 x 240) and then double click on the file I want. It then brings upt eh export bar...gets thru that perfectly and then the file will have a 2nd copy with the iTunes icon next to it instead of the icon of the program it orgionally came from. Then as I did to transfer it over to itunes I play the file. At this point problems arise. It doesnt show up int eh library. I was ablet o put all my videos under the VIDEOS section of iTunes but they can only be played on my comp they are not transfered to my ipod. After playing all files that were converted to the itunes format. only one file for some reason was able to transfer to my library and get to my ipod. I dont have a clue why that one worked and the others where all came from teh same place and i did the same thing have not worked. Also, the one file that worked has no sound. This is what weeks of work, hours ont eh phone with Apple associates has gotten me to. I beg anyone who knows how to fix this to help me and I will wish only the best things to happen to you. Thanks.

I know what you mean. Having an issue and not knowing where to begin to solve it, or knowing what the problem is just unable to remedy that problem *****!.
Be advised that all mpeg or mpg files are not created equal.
The files you are having issue with are most likey muxed files or files that have two seperate parts or tracks. To export you must have rights to both parts completely. Your Sofware, in this case Quicktime, is unable to export the Audio portion of your file.
Many files downloaded or streamed and copied to your hardrive over the web using thirdparty apps as LimeWire and others. Not always are you getting what you need in the format you need it in.
Wait out or get the file from someone or somewhere else.
This is NOT a quicktime issue and if so either quicktime will update at some point. Or the file's may not be relinked together if prepared incorrectly.
I have seen this issue but did not have time to mess with as the files were not important enough to require the attention and time.
Just my professional view once agaiin. But i will investigate soon and may reply with the answer you need.
    Peace

  • Can't Import Dig Photos from 2 Different Dig cameras

Frustrating problem with dig camera uploads to iphotos. I have new Nikon D40X. When I connect to Imac with Leopard 10.5, it sees the photos and brings them up as thumbnails. When I say 'import', however, the Imac says the files are ot recognized and lists all the photo files as JPEG. Same thing happened with a Casio did camera I have. I called for help as I have the APP, but tech said that the camera was not compatible. Yet, new Nikon is compatible. I think this is OS related. Any ideas please?

Not the cheapest solution, but did you try getting a memory card reader and uploading them that way?

  • PSE 4.0 Fotos von Digi-Cam

    Hi Forum

    Matthias

  • Duplicate photos each time u connect dig camera

Hello, ... can anybody help me on this...?
If i download say 679 photos (in iphoto6) onto my mac , .... then i don't delete any photos from my dig camera (canon EOS 20D), .... but then i go outdoors and take more photos on my camera and then hook it up to my mac again, .... will it duplicate the photos onto my library and then in addition put on the new outdoor photos that i just took?.....
.....in other words, ... there are photos on my camera that i do not wish to delete but i wish to take more photos and then continue downloading onto my mac ....... will the mac simply continue on where i left off from the last photos that are on my camera?

where do i get 'image capture'...?
image capture comes with your mac and is in your applications folder
how about the app iphoto08, too?
Not legally - each software program is licensed for the computer it comes on only you need to purchase either an iLife '08 package ($79.00) for your older iMac or a family pack for it and up to four other computers in your household
And remember that iPhoto 6 and '08 use different, incompatible data base structures so you can not access the 6 data base form '08 or vica versa

  • IPhoto problems with digi cam

I have recently installed the OLYMPUS Master Digi Cam software. Whenever I plug in the digi cam iPhoto opens. I can easily close it but I still don't want it opening. I don't want to delete it either because one of these days I am going to want to use it.

  • Any Sony HX9V dig camera compatability problems with imac?

Hi Anyone aware of compatability problems between the new Sony HX9V dig camera and my Mac before I buy
    Cheers Vernon

    I don't see any problems.
    1. Images
When you connect the camera to your Mac you can copy the JPG images from one of the appearing  camera folders to your hard drive.
    2. Movies
There is a (little!) problem with best quality movies US format 1080/60p / EU format 1080/50p. These can't be imported directly. (I'm using FCP X.)
But you can use the free Media Converter (http://media-converter.sourceforge.net)* with the free Re-wrap AVCHD plugin (same website) to convert the available MTS files into QuickTime MOV files (1080/60p) which can be imported into FCP X. (Before I import my movies I trim them using QT X.)
(Note: I assume in iMovie you can only use them as 1080/30p (losing every other frame). I'm not 100% sure - I made a test some months ago.)
*) You can also use ClipWrap ($50) but I can't see a difference.

  • I Thought The Zen Micro Came With The AC Adapter

I bought a zen micro two days ago, and I was suprised that I didnt find an AC adapter after reading a couple of reviews saying that came with them. Does anyone have a link to one? I will only buy a creative product. I dont want aftermarket. Thanks in advance

Newer Zen Micros don't come with the AC adapter; mine didn't. (Creative took it out as a cost-cutting measure when they reduced its MSRP, though you might still be able to find units with the charger, especially at Wal-Mart if the reports here are correct.) You can charge it with your PC and the USB cable, or buy a charger; Creative's charger is sold at this site's shop for $29.99 plus $2.99 S&H (see the link from the guy who posted just ahead of me).
I see you only want the Creative charger, but just for reference, I understand aftermarket chargers for most Blackberrys, or Motorola MPx200 or RAZR V3 phones, will work with the Zen Micro; they all charge thru a USB mini-B port. (Of course, I'm not responsible if an aftermarket charger damages your player.)

  • Photo images from dig. cam [one is error and other won't open] questions

My wife inserted the sd card in the card reader and copied about 70 photo image files to the Mac. The camera that took all the 70 photos was a Panasonic DMC-LZ5 but I don't think the camera model matters much here.
For the first time, 2 of the many images seem to be corrupt. Mac X reports one photo image has an error while trying to open and reports the second image won't open.
My main concern is whether or not to just delete the two error/corrupt jpg images. My other main concern is that I don't want to keep the two images if it could affect or corrupt my hd or Mac system in some way.
I normally just trash corrupted files; however, in this case I went ahead and attempted to open both of the 2 troubled files myself later and they both opened up in Preview and didn't report any error or corruption. However, one of the jpg images defintely is corrupt when viewing it as the bottom of the image is definitely messed up. However, the other image now opens perfectly and looks fine to the eye as if nothing is wrong with it.
Here is a link to the one photo image that isn't quite right [note the obvious distortion at bottom of image]. Link is http://mysite.verizon.net/vzenvo78/question595.jpg
Further very relevant information: The SanDisk sd card that all the 70 images were on is a 1 gig card and the sd card seems to be a total loss. The sd card can't be initialized/formatted by disk utility and furthermore the sd card is no longer recognized by the Panasonic camera - the Panasonic camera won't even preview the images off the card or allow me to format the card even from the camera.

    Hello,
I see what you are talking about. I just discovered this same exact problem on a friends G5 after he uploaded pics from his Leica.
This is what I did: I ran Disk Utility from the system restore disc to verify and repair the drive. DU reported Volume Bitmap problems. DU was able to repair the disc. Next, I created a new user account and tried uploading the images from the camera to the G5 and it worked just fine. The images loaded like they should.
I also reinstalled the drivers that came with the camera.
Delete any files that your Mac reports as a problem. It's just not worth leaving them on the drive.
So...... run Disk Utility from your system restore disc. If it reports errors, hopefully DU can repair them. If not, one option is to get DiskWarrior here:
    www.alsoft.com or TechToolPro4 here: www.micromat.com
One other idea is how old is the card?
Next idea is to create a new user acccount: System Prefs/Accounts. Try using that account to upload the same images. See if they upload as they should. If they do, then the issue isn't system wide, it's just in the other user account.
Remember to always back up your images/audio/data often as you never know when you might need to do either an Archive or Erase and Reinstall.

  • Photos in my from my iPhone have same numbering as photos from my dig camera.  They all go into iPhoto fine but when I backup to my ext hard drive it will only save one with the name IMG 1002 and I have two separate images both with that name.  Help?

Photos in my from my iPhone have the same numbering as photos from my digital camera.  They all go into iPhoto fine but when I backup to my ext hard drive it will only save one with the name IMG 1002 and I have two separate images both with that name.  How do I get them all to save on my ext hard drive and hope do I prevent this numbering overlap in the future?  I'm really hoping I don't have to go through and manually rename every single picture.  Thanks.

How are you backing up the photos?  The best way is to backup the library itself as that will preserve your organizational efforts as well as all metadata like keywords, titles, faces, places, books, etc.
You can use a backup application that does incremental backups.  Thus only the first backup is a full one and subsequent backups just copy those files that are new or changed. I use Synk Pro.  The lower cost version, Synk, will do the same job.  Other similar apps can be found at MacUpdate.com.
OR: upload your camera to a folder on the Desktop. There you can rename the files to something that is more informative than just the file name.  I use the date (international format) along with a brief desc: 2007-1-20-adian1stbday-001.jpg.  File renaming apps can also be found at MacUpdate.com.  Also you can give the folder an informatve name which will become the Event name when you import the folder of photos into iPhoto.

  • Loading video from digi camera onto eMac

I have a Casio Exilim digital camera. I plugged it into the USB and chose iPhote to run. So I imported all the pictures onto iPhoto but none of the video imported. How can I get the video from the camera onto my eMac? Thanks for the help!

If you want to import videos from your digital camera frequently it might be an idea to upgrade to iLife '06 as iPhoto 6 supports this.
    Hope this helps.

  • Hard drive shows up as dig camera card

One of my external hard drives, no matter what I do (re-mount, restart, reboot, etc) shows up as a digital camera card instead of the normal hard drive.
The hard drive functions as normal outside of 1.5 but within Aperture it's treated as a digital camera card and I can't access my folders.
Anybody got any idea how I can get 1.5 to recognize the drive as a DRIVE and not think it's a card?

My guess would be that your drive's folder layout matches, in some way, the design rules for camera file systems, i.e. it has a DCIM folder and all the rest that makes it look like it is a camera storage card.

  • Canon digi camera movies cause iPhoto to crash.

I have a Black Macbook running the latest updates of OSX, quicktime, and iPhoto 6 and I am unable to upload movies, that I make on my Canon Ixus65 (like an elph). I thought it may be my camera, but I get the same result with my father's camera which was purched about a month ago (so, I don't think it's a camera thing.
also, I have never had a problem on my titanium powerbook G4 uploading movies from the same camera.
Images are not a problem as long as there are no videos in the "roll" as well.
If I use image capture to import the movies, the successfully import, but quicktime crashes when trying to open them.
I would LOVE some help/advice on this. Thanks

    Stuart:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. First delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. Then, if necessary, reinstall the 10.4.10 COMBOupdater followed by a repair of disk permissions.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
