HP 7510 All-in-One Won't Wake Up

My networked HP 7510 goes into power saving mode as set in default settings, but will not wake up when a print job is sent from a networked PC - except randomly and for reasons that I can't explain. I can't correlate when it will wake up to any particular kind of device, print job or application. When it will NOT wake up, I have to manually perform a power cycle or (a trick) disconnect from my wireless network and reconnect - after which the spooled jobs print normally.
When the 7510 is asleep its shows as "offline" to Windows and it will not wake up when pinged using the HP Print Utility at its network address (standard 10.0.0.9 address).
Is there a workaround or setting that will help with this problem, or do I just end up wishing that HP had provided a Never option for entering energy saving mode?

This has been answered in the forum hundreds of times. Set a static IP in the printer outside the DHCP range of the router. Use a fixed channel like 1,6 or 11 never 'auto' for your wireless. Reboot both and now try.

Hp 7510 all-in one printer on a desktop using windows 7 will not print if McAfee firewall is active. "What settings need to be changed?

You need to go into McAfee Firewall and 'trust' all the HP printer fuctions so they will pass.

C3180 Photosmart All-in-one won't print. Gives message 'clear paper jam.' There is no paper jam. About a month ago there was a paper jam, but was removed. It worked fine since then until yesterday. I've tried all the HP trouble-shooting suggestions- unplug, take apart, manually move carriage, etc. and nothing has solved the problem. The paper does not advance...all that happens if I try to print is a lot of noise like carriage going back and forth and after a/b 1-2 minutes it will show the "red X" blinking on the printer and a message on the computer screen, "Clear paper jam." When the problem first started yesterday the message was that the printer was "Out of paper." I need to print a resume and this is just the wrong time for someone such as myself with little computer knowledge to try to figure it out. Thanks for any suggestions!

You may not need to remove/re-add. Try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:

It can fix a lot on its own (especially connectivity problems) and if not give a better idea of what is going on.

My 5250 all in one won't email with Windows 7

Since I installed windows 7 my 5250 all in one won't e-mail anything since I don't have WINDOWS MAIL ANYMORE, and it only gives you windows mail as the only option to email.
Anyone know how to correct this?

In the Start Menu, type 'Live Essentials', and open the option which says to go online to get Windows Live Essentials. This way, you can install Windows Mail.

6150 All-in-One won't print black

My HP Photosmart 6150 All-In-One won't print black. There is a new black cartridge and all the other inks are fine as well. I've cleaned the printhead 3 times and all that printed was yellow. I then ran an alignment. The alignment failed, but it wasn't because of a paper issue. The manual says it could be that the printhead assembly or the sensor is defective. Is it worth getting that fixed, or should I just get a new printer? I've had this one for 8 years and it's worked great until now.

According to this guide, Color Mix or Missing Colors on the Diagnostic Page, it states: Missing colors occur when the printhead nozzles dry out. My officejet j4580 all-in-one printer won't print anything I try to print off the internet, nor from microsoft word. I tried reinstalling, but it gets stuck at 94%, and it took almost 3 hours to get to that point. What can I do? My operating system is microsoft vista.

Here are a couple of things to try. I would first start with downloading and running the Print Diagnostic Utility. IF this doesn't clear it up, then try the document on Problems printing from the internet.

HP 7510 all in one printer driver problem

Trying to reload HPPhotosmart 7510 series all in one printer software. Have CD/downloaded newsest version from HP.com, have uninstalled all versions etc....have downloaded hppiw /hp prin and scan doctor when running HP doctor indicates two 7510 series (Net) and not net.....just the IP/MAC information as listed on the printer. However when trying to load the software it uses the non-net IP address...it can identifies the IP address for the printer, when using older printer software it works wireless and prints .,....however when trying to load software automatically get error message "unsuccessful network installaion" the prinert was unable to be installed over the network...tried with printer cable, it would not accept.....looking at the Device Manager, Other devices 5 listings of HP Photosmart 7510 series (1 has exclamation point 4 have question mark icon, within the properties of each inidcates that "the drivers dfor this device are not installed)...attempted to uninstall each to no avail..have 6 listings of Photosmart 7510 series all with the exclamation icon and same properties....not installed. same situtation tried to uninstall, to no avail.......have tried other suggestions which were listed on forum to no resolution....any suggestions greatly appreciated..thanks

I see you are having some install issues with the HP Photosmart 7510, it shows multiple printers in the installers and even more in the Device Manager. What version of Windows is installed on the computer?
Have you been able to add the printer from the Devices and Printers? This of coarse is not a fix for the issue but my allow you to get some printing done.
I will research the issue more and wait for your reply.

HP Photosmart Plus B210a all-in-one won't display any networks in the list.

Hi, I recently purchased a HP Photosmart Plus all in one printer and I've been having trouble with it from day one.
First off, it won't connect wirelessly.
It won't display any networks in the list when searched for, it won't take my network details when I manually input them and it won't take any static IP address I've tried from other suggestions.
Secondly, the print quality is very bad. Streaks and fading are occuring and after using up 70% of my ink trying to sort it out through troubleshooting it's still bad.
It's extremely important for me to be able to have web access using the printer as all members of my household use it and it'll get fustrating having to car laptops and computers around to print.
Can anybody help at all?

Top line says "The wireless radio is not functioning. Contact HP support"
I take this as a very bad sign and needs replacing?
The tests I done produce streaks, fading and lines. I printed off two photos, one from a memory card and one from a scan. The memory card produced heavy blocked lines of color and the scan was just dull.
I'm using a Wanadoo Wireless Livebox and Windows 7 64 Bit
One other question... is this like a brilliant printer for photos mainly? I'm a Graphics design student and although my final prints are made from home I would like accurate and decent printouts for my portfolios. Should I keep this or go for another one with similar features and better print quality?

HP 7510 all-in-One Photo Printer

I have a All-in-One 7510 Photo Printer that the paper extender flip attheend broke off. I tried to glue but to no avail. This is a necessary coponent because if you print more than 1 page they will shoot out on the floor. Does anyone Know if a replacement part can be purchased? I have had no luck on the internet looking for this part.

From your description, it sounds like the output tray is broken. I suggest you go to Partsurfer.hp.com, choose your country or region in the upper right corner, and enter CQ724-60031 in the Quick Search.
Your search result will find the ASSY_Photo Tray. The output tray is the photo tray. If you have any difficulty, the alternate option is to call HP and have them order it for you. The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.

HP Photosmart C2780 All-in-one won't work with Image Capture

I want to use Image Capture as the scanning software but it won't connect to my scanner (HP Photosmart C2780 All-in-one). When I go to browse devices it shows the scanner but when i click on "Use Twain UI", nothing happens, and it is supposed to ask me if I want to connect. I believe that I have followed all of the instructions correctly but nothing is happening. Does the HP Photosmart C2780 even work with Image Capture? and if it does what am I doing wrong?

Install the HP Drivers from HP.
I installed V9.7.1 from the HP website:

This provides 'Hp Device Manager' which will scan images or do OCR on text pages....

TS3147 Lion - Canon all in one won't save scans

I recently upgrded to Lion but my Can MP600 all-in-one cannot now save a scan.
I have downloaded the latest drivers, deleted and reinstalled the device but it won't save a scan.
Any suggestions?

I normally click a desk top icon called MP Navigator 3 and then click 'One Click' and 'Save as PDF File'. The software then shows calibration, follwed by Screening and finally 1 document copied.
But when I press Exit (which used to comple the process allowing me to save the scan to my iMac) I get the following - Unable to save file. The system cannot find the path selected.
Not sure what to do now - any further thoughts would be helpful.

Canon MG2200 All-In One won't scan?

This is really frustrating me.
Originally, i had purchased a PIXMA MG2100 All-In One printer and it worked fine. One day, however, the scanner stops working. Next the printer won't connect at all, and after some e-mails with customer support they send me a PIXMA MG2200 to replace the other, which had some problem needing factory repair.
After uninstalling and re-installing the new one, everything seems fine until i see that the scanner still won't work. I've tried it on my desktop and laptop, but it gives me the same error that says it's warming up, stops, then there's a connection problem, the scanner might be off or busy, USB connection error, please turn off and try again and scanner will shut off...yadda yadda yadda.
I've tried re-intsalling the drivers, checking for error codes on the printer screen, buying a new USB cable, changing the nearly-empty ink cartriges to new ones -- nothing works. I'm tempted to just throw the thing away and getting a different brand. I really need the scanner for what i do.
Does anyone have any solutions to make the stupid thing work? I don't understand why it won't. My last hope is buying another USB because the first one i used ended up being bust. The second one worked but only for the printer. It's not old, i got it with the printer last time, but it failed to solve the connection problem.
I use Windows 7 x64 btw. Windows XP on the desktop.

I don't know if this will work for you adriftwaterbaby, but i bought a new cord and made it autoscan while it was doing that operation stuff right after turning it on.
I tried it with the old cord, and if i scan while it's doing its business, it works.
This is really stupid, and i'm afraid i'm going to have to change brands next time i buy a printer.

I am not sure which Diagnostic utlity you used previously. I have included the two which should assist with your printing issue. Try the Print Diagnostic utility first.

6310 all-in-one will not print--after reload of driver...driver is up to date---still won't print!!!

What operating system? Does the Officejet 6310 still make copies correctly?
