HP 7520 Print Apps

Sorry...I know this has been discussed before, but I can't get by the first step of the solution. The screen that comes up for Wireless Status (....extra details) does not allow me to change the IP Address.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums.
I'm not sure what solution you are following and can't get by the first step, although I suspect that you are trying to set a manual ip address for your printer. Once your printer is on your wireless network, please follow the steps below to set a manual ip address:
Press the wireless icon on the front panel of your printer and take note of the ip address for the printer
Enter the ip address of the printer into the address bar of your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari). This will bring up the embedded web server for your printer.
Click on the 'Network' tab across the top
Click on 'Networking' on the left hand side menu
Click on 'Network Address (IP)' on the left hand side menu
Click 'Manual IP' radio button
Click on 'Suggest a Manual IP Address' button
Click 'Manual DNS Server' radio button
For the 'Manual Preferred DNS Server' please enter 8.8.8.8
For the 'Manual Alternate DNS Server' please enter 8.8.4.4
Click on 'Apply'. If prompted with any messages please choose 'OK'
Once you have followed the above steps please turn your printer off, wait at least 30 seconds, then turn your printer back on. You can always check the ip address of the printer by pressing the wireless icon on the front panel of the printer.
Please let me know if setting a manual ip address isn't what you were trying to accomplish.

Can't access or delete Print Apps on HP 7520 printer

When I try to access an app on my printer all I get is a message "Apps Updating" "The apps content is updating. You cannot access apps now. Please try later." When I go to HPConnected to try and remove apps, nothing shows up in My Printables. I really would like to get rid of them. I will never use them because I don't want my printer print out stuff on it's own. All they do is clutter up the screen and the buttons are so large you hit them by accident.
I really wish vendors would stop loading apps and things nobody wants aon their products. If I want it I,ll load it.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you would like to remove the Printables from your Photosmart 7520 printer.
If nothing is showing up in the My Printables in your HP Connected account are you trying to access them using a Safari browser? If so please try to access the printables from another browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome).
I have included the Remove ePrint and HP Printables in HP Connected document although it sounds like you are aware of the steps in it to remove the apps. Please note that removing the apps, will not change the layout of the screen, the space currently given to the apps will still remain dedicated to the apps.

Turn off Printer Apps on 7520

I cannot find a way to turn off the printer apps on a 7520. We have a special needs son, who at times just starts pushing the icons on the touch screen. Suddenly we have all kinds of coloring sheets, comics, crosswords, etc. printing out. Is there a way to turn these apps off until I might actually want to use one of them? Thanks.

To view and manage print apps for your printer, use the display on the printer itself. This website cannot manage print apps for your printer. In this case, you have to cancel from your printer.

If you have previously setup some scheduled print deliveries, you will need to cancel these from where they were originally setup.
They were most likely setup through your e-Print centre login so you should be able to cancel them there. Here's a link to some infomation on Managing Scheduled Delivery Print Apps:

Photosmart 7520 print photo from iphone to plain paper

I have a photosmart 7520 and I would like to print picture from iphone and bypass photo cartridge and print on standard paper. Thanks

I'm not sure that you'll be able to bypass the photo cartridge as the plain papaer print will use the same colours.
In order to get the printer to use plain paper instead of photo paper the best approach would be to use the HP e-Print app as the inbuilt Airprint has limited paper size/source options.

Photosmart 7520, no apps control panel

Hp photosmart 7520 printer, operating on windows 8, i was wondering where or what happened to the apps on the control panel, this is the second printer that i purchased of this kind and one has apps already on the control panel and the other one doesn't. How can i get the apps on the control panel. I dont want to schedule anything to print i just would like to print as needed from the printers control panel.

Removing printer apps

Purchased a new HP 7520 and ended up with a lot of apps because I thought they would be useful. The one app I really want isn't showing up but it shows up when I log into the app center. I have been trying to remove some of the apps (I know some of them you can't remove), but have had no luck in figuring out how. One place it tells me to go the the hpconnect, click on devices and remove that way. They don't even show up when I go there. Another place says I need to go to the eprint center and again, nothing. So I'm lost. Is there a way to remove them by using my computer or do I have to remove them right from the control panel - haven't figured out how to do either. I'm not computer saavy so if you have an answer, can you be detailed? Thanks so much for your help.

One simple method is to disable the Web Services from the printer screen by clicking the Web Services icon, selecting settings and then Disable Web Services. then re-enable it by clicking the Web Services icon once again and following the steps to register the service. any scheduled delivery print app will be canceled.. consider however that you will need to select a different ePrint mail address for your printer..
As well you may follow these steps to cancel or suspend a scheduled delivery print app:

Printer app (hp aio remote)

When I want to print from the app I choose photos
and the I get all my photos but I get the oldest ones
first and I have to scroll all the way to the bottom
to get the newest photos. I have ca 3000 photos
so it's boring to have to scoll down every time.
In the photo file on ipad/iphone you get
the newest photoes first.
Is it possible to get the newest photos first in
the Printer app (hp aio remote)?

Aio remote print app challenge

I am unable to use the Aio remote print app with either of hp printers which are e-print enabled to get the app to allow me to print more than 10 copies at a time and make the copies double sided.
Would someone please help?

Welcome to the HP Support forums.   I understand that you have encountered a difficultly when using the HP AiO Printer Remote app.
To better assist you would you please provide some clarifying information:
1)       What make/model/product numbers of HP printers do you have? Guide to finding your product number
2)      Are you trying to print 10 copies of a double-sided document that is stored on the device? Or are you trying to make 10 copies of a document that is on the printer?
3)      What is the size of the document that you are trying to print? I’m wondering if the size of the file might be the issue.

How do I add/remove print apps on my printer?

The way you add apps to your printer varies depending on the model.
I. On the following printers, use the "Get More" icon on the device to add additional print apps directly on the device: When you select the "Get More" icon on your printer front panel display, you will see a list of available apps for your pinter, and you can select and add apps to your printer from there:
HP Photosmart c309n-s
HP Photosmart Premium C310 series
HP Photosmart eAll-in-One Printer D410 series
To remove apps on these printers, select the "Get More" icon, and then select the "Manage Apps" button (at the top-left of the Touchsmart Web Apps" screen that appears). That will open the "Manage My Favorites" screen where you can remove apps by selecting the "X" on the app icons.
Any configuration required for print apps (e.g., entering Zip Code) on these devices will be prompted for when you run the print app.
II. On the HP eStation (with the removable tablet display).
Add apps: Select the tab (with the upwards arrow on it) at the bottom of the screen to open the app drawer. Then select the Add Apps option at the bottom of the screen to view available print apps.
Delete apps: Select the tab (with the upwards arrow on it) at the bottom of the screen to open the app drawer. Scroll down to display the Print Apps section. Select the Delete option and then select the app you wish to delete.
III. On other web-connected printers, if you select the "Get More" icon it will provide you the web site address for HP ePrintCenter - www.hpeprintcenter.com. You go there to add new apps, view apps on your printer, and setup/remove apps from your printer.
For those devices, to add more print apps:
Go to www.hpeprintcenter.com and log into your account. If you don't have an account yet, create an account and add your printer. Information on doing that can be found here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-Print-Apps-Mobile/Add-your-printer-to-your-HP-ePrintCenter-accou...
Select the "Get More Print Apps" link in the Print Apps section (below the ePrint section).
Select the icon of the print app you want to install, and then on the print app detail page select the "Add to Printer" button. If the print app requires setup, after adding it you will see a "Setup" button which you should select to configure the print app so it is ready to use.
To remove apps on these printers, select the "My Apps" link to display the apps installed on your device. Hold your mouse over the print app you would like to remove and a red X will appear, select the red X to remove the app.
As soon as you add or remove the print app from the HP ePrintCenter it will be removed/added on your printer...select the "Apps" icon to see all currently installed apps on your printer.
Note: Not all print apps are supported on all printers, and apps may be limited to cetain countries or languages. If you don't see a print app you are looking for when you access the "Get More Print Apps" link, that app is not currently available for your printer. We are regularly working on creating new apps and extend the printers on which existing apps are available, and you will see a star notification icons on the Get More icon on your printer when new apps are available.

If you wish to only have the print app as a 'print now' with no deliveries scheduled, you will see this message everytime you perform a print now.

HP Photosmart 7520 printer cannot detect yellow cartridge

My 3-month-old 7520 printer stopped accessing its yellow cartridge when printing color photos, even though the display showed the yellow cartridge was still 1/3 full.
I put a brand-new yellow cartridge in, and the printer display showed a full cartridge, but the printer status report showed it to be empty. Print Quality Diagnostic report showed an empty cartridge, also.
Pulled the yellow cartridge and checked to see that there was ink at the port by touching my finger to it, left a wet yellow ink spot on my fingertip, so ink was good. Cartridge date shows it does not expire until 9/10/15, so still current.
Why can't the printer access the (brand new) yellow cartridge to print anything??
This is my first HP printer after a frustrating series of Epson printers, so I was really hoping for better.

I understand you are having issues with your yellow ink. I would love to help!
I would recommend performing a hard reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest performing the steps listed in this document on Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues.

Print Apps won't print with C510a eStation. Prints thin line at top of page.

My C510a eStation printer will not print using the Print Apps. It just prints a thin line at top of page. Everything works fine until I print.
All other print functions work. It prints from computer via WiFi. It prints when I send an email to it. It copies via the Zeen. It just won't print using the Print Apps.
Does anyone else have this problem? What is the solution?
12/23/2010 3:00PM. I just got off the phone with an HP engineer. She said that the eStation is still in the TESTING phase and to call to report problems so they can improve the product. (I would have thought the product would have been fully tested before being released to the public!)
She had me reset the Zeen display by holding down the volume keys while powering up. This erased everything that had been done on the Zeen by me and resulted in no HOME screens, which will have to be set up by me. The only app at the bottom of the blank home page was Yahoo!. Even the printer app was missing. I had to move it from the app tray to the home page. Now, I have to spend hours, again, setting up the Zeen.
After the reset, the printer apps seem to work now. The Zeen will copy using the printer app. My computer still seems able to print and scan to/from the eStation.
The eStation C510a eStation printer and Zeen display are very exciting. However, they are not for someone not willing to spend the time to get it to work properly. If you have a cell phone, be prepared to use up a lot of minutes while on support.
The HP engineer said that it will soon have a new release of Android operating on the Zeen which will allow it to be faster.

I have decided to return this printer to the store as it just has too many problems. HP has essentially told me they will not issue updates to solve the problems. I hate this, as I really loved the product.
