Hp 8600 Pro cannot print JPG format

hp Officejet Pro 8600 cannot print JPG photos from my hard drive. No problems printing any other formats.

Hi,
You are most welcome. As mentioned above, HP Photo Creations has many more options. I've played around with it but for just printing photos, like many people do, a simpler product is the way to go.
Regards.

Using SnowLeopaard on my iMac, I cannot print .jpg files created in PS or Corel Painter 11 on my Canon Pixma MP 500. No file is sent to the print que. My iMac prints well with Word, TextEdit, etc. AppleCare says the problem is with the printer even though there was no problem printing with previous Apple OSX.

Do You use the latest version of the Printer Driver?
And as You specifically mention jpg, I wonder: Are You able to print other file formats?
If all else fails You could try saving pdfs and printing from Acrobat.

  • Just reinstalled acrobat 9 extended pro. cannot print to attached printer. brings up window to chose printer. just won't print. actually locks up. have to bring up cntrol panel and shut down operations.

Somehow files in Acrobat were corrupted. had to have cmputer guy delete those before reinstall. reinstalled. I can create a pdf and email it but cannot print to printer.  what to do.

  • HP 8600 Pro Scanner/Printer

I have been reading the various posts re the troubles with printing exclusively in BW where one cannot print without ALL the colours being operable as well. This is really dumb and can only come from an engineering based management system that believes that they are the answer to all HP's business failures and that the sales & marketing dept. is a complete waste of time. Guess what--the people/person responsible for this disaster firstly need to be sterilised and secondly need to resign forthwith. If you have the arrogance and or stupidtiy to design something, whatever it may be, without firstly checking it's application from the perspective of the buyer you dont deserve to have that responsibility and honour/authority!!!!!! For me HP is done and i will be gradually phasing out all their products in my office and alerting all my friends and network of business contacts. Goodluck GJ777

    Rallis,
I admit to not owning this device and not knowing anything about it.
      Sigh.
Microsoft supports a program called "Microsoft Fax and Scan"  - if it is installed on your computer, you might make use of this program while someone helps sort out the real issue.
    I hope this helps.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Plus cannot print after OS 10.10 SW update

My Officejet Pro 8600 Plus was working just fine with OS 10.9.  I got an email from HP that there was updated software for OS 10.10, so I  dowloaded & installed it, and now I get gibberish when I try to print anything -- a web page, email, Word document -- similar results for all.
For example, for a Fitbit update email, the title "Weekly Stats" was printed, my name was printed, some images were partially printed, and all the remaining lines/descriptions were gibberish.  Maybe 20% of the characters were printed, the rest was blank space.  Looked more like Morse code than text.
I reinstalled 3 times with the same results.  I installed the update via the app store, same results.  I used Time Machine to reset to yesterday, no impact, same results.  I can scan just fine.  Have not tested faxing.
My HP Laserjet Pro M401dne was also updated and it still prints fine.
Can I get and reinstall the OS 10.9 SW?
Thanks in advancxe for any assistance.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium - Cannot Print Info Sheet in Order to Obtain Printer ID

I have been trying for a few hours now to get my hpeprintcenter account set up. It is asking for a Printer Code and says that you should be able to obtain it by printing the Info Sheet from the ePrint menu on the Printer.
The problem that I am having is that when I click on the Print Info Sheet Button, the printer freezes at Now Printing...and never does anything else.
I have tried on different internet connections, I have power cycled the printer, I have disabled Web apps and re-enabled, I have set the 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 DNS entries as mentioned in the other posts and none of these things will allow me to print my info sheet in order to get my account setup.
Everything else works fine. I am able to print from tablets and from my laptops over the wireless network and there doesn't seem to be any type of internet connection error on the printer.
Anyone have any ideas what I might be able to do to fix this. Getting to be at my wits end over this.

What's the name of the router you have?  Also, I would make sure that nothing was entered under proxy settings.

  • CS4 macbook pro, cannot print to pdf. Well, I can but it does nothing...

I'm running CS4 on my macbook pro which is running OS X 10.2.6.
When I print my indesign or illustrator file to the PDF 9.0 option I get nothing, not even a dialog box asking me to save the pdf file.
I've checked and re-checked my distiller setting to make sure I've clicked "ask for PDF destination file"
However when I open the PDF 9.0 printer dialog box it says it has completed 21 jobs, but I've searched the computer and these pdf's do not exist.
So essentially it seems to be making a pdf from my files but I cannot find, save or open it.
This has been a problem for sometime and I'd really like to figure it out!
    Thanks!
    -Steve

Is it really 10.2.6 or is it 10.6.2. If the latter, then the PDF 9.0 does not work in Snow Leopard. See here http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/509/cpsid_50981.htm

  • How to copy a 5 x 7 photo using 8600 pro plus printer

How do I make copies of a 5X7 photo on 5 x 7 photo paper?  I did it once on the same printer some time ago and forgot the settings or procedure,

    Hi,
One way of doing it would be to scan the 5x7 photo and save the resulting image to your desktop or mobile device and then print the saved image on 5x7 photo paper - hope this helps.

  • Officejet pro 8600 will not print card stock

I just purchased the Officejet Pro 8600 and cannot print card stock.  I read another HP troubleshooting page and tried to run 100 copies of blank paper through to "calibrate" the printer as suggested by HP technical support.   There was a suggestion to disconnect the tray 2 paper tray but I also don't a tray 2.  Any suggestions?  I print card stock regularly.

  • Looking for OfficeJet 8600 pro plus replacement paper trays

Where can I purchase replacement paper trays for the OfficeJet 8600 Pro Plus printer?
I am NOT looking for the add-on paper tray unit, but a replacement for the primary tray. We shuffle various types of paper and envelopes in and out of the tray throughout the day, and we would instead like to keep several extra trays loaded with specialty paper to reduce wear on the primary tray.
    Suggestiosn?
    Thanks!

I searched in the online stores available by HP and was unable to find this part.  However, I was able to find that the part is available through HP Tech Support by calling in.
Click here to access the full list of HP Tech Support contact numbers.
The part number is CM749-60036 for the main tray assembly for the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.  This part is, currently, around $25 usd, but prices are subject to change.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can't print jpg files sent in emails - they're autosaved as HP MediaSmart photos

when someone sends me a .jpg file in an email, it comes thru as HP MediaSmart photo, and the only options are for "play". "rotate", edit or trash. There are no options for printing or saving. And you can't right click. So I can't accept any .jpg files sent to me.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that you cannot print jpg files sent in your emails. With your HP Officejet 9620, on Windows 7. I am happy to look into this issue for you!  I am assuming you have the HP Officejet 8620, as I cannot seem to find a HP Officejet 9620 online. If this is not your printer, please post your printer's Product/Model Number. To find your printer's Product/Model Number follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number. According to this guide, Using HP MediaSmart Software Photo Features, you should be able to print your photos by doing the following:  For home printing, just select the photos you’d like to print with HP MediaSmart Photo’s drag-and-drop print option. With one easy click or touch, you can add your print-ready photos to your printing queue. To print your photos from HP MediaSmart Photo, click Print Photos on the bottom of the MediaSmart Photo window. Click the album or slideshow from which you would like to print, and then click the add photo icon for each photo you would like to print. With the Print Picture controls, you can zoom in or out on the image, and move the image left-right or up-down to change the composition. If you change your mind about printing certain photos, click and drag the photo to the trash can or click Clear All to remove all the photos from printing. I would also recommend our HP Print and Scan Doctor, if you are unable to print from other programs as well.  Hope this is helpful, and thank you for posting!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

Hello Ermagherd, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are having issues with your print drivers.  I would like to help.
Are you connected USB or wireless?
I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates:  OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the HP Officejet Pro 8600 series Full Feature Software and Driver.

  • Office jet pro 8600 cannot print from tray 1

We have an officejet pro 8600 with a second tray installed. Plain paper in the second tray which is on default on actual printer. Headed paper in tray one which is locked on printer.
Cannot print letterhead. If I manually go into printer preferences and select tray 1 to print on letter head printer will only print from tray 2.
    Please help!
I know I can also go into printer on PC and make some settings under the installed device but no matter what I do printer will only print from tray 2 plain paper.
