HP 8750 on Aperture - has anyone had satisfactory results?

Hi, Despite having had very successful results for more than a year on WinXP with Photoshop CS2 and the supplied HP 8750 profiles I am quite unable to get anything like satisfactory results on Aperture 2 or PSE4 on Leopard. The closest I get to a reasonable print is with the ICC profile turned off and using printer based colour management. I have tracked the previous threads on the HP 8750 and followed the recommendations carefully but I cannot eliminate a yellow cast which is clearly visible on the on screen proofing and the resulting print. Printer based colour management gives a flat print but without a cast.
As neither Aperture 2 or Photoshop Elements can produce an acceptable print on Leopard I believe that the profile provided with Leopard for the printer does not work. There is no alternative from HP directly so I am stuck.
My question is has anyone successfully used the HP8750 on a mac - and if so HOW?

Thanks Allen, Not what I hoped to hear but very useful just the same - at least I know I'm not alone. I may spend some time tweaking the Printer colour options but will probably just export my personal printing from Aperture to my WinXP system. I note on the HP site that there is a suggestion that there is a plan for another release of the mac driver. Fingers crossed that they solve the problems and release it as an 8750 issue and not another 5gb of all the HP drivers ever released which comes bundled with Leopard at present.

Has anyone had trouble manipulating Nikon D750 raw image (NEF) in Aperture (version 3.6 500021000000000.3, Digital Camera RAW 6.0 - Build 761.5, Digital Camera RAW support 6000 - Build 136.1)
I used to be able to manipuplate Nikon Raw (NEF) images from a Nikon D70 and D3200 using Aperture, until the 70 died and the 3200 was stolen about 18 months ago. Recently I did two things: (1) I upgraded OS X to Yosemite and (2) purchased a Nikon D750. I have successfully imported NEF files from the camera to Aperture, but the images do not render/ cannot be opened/ manipulated. Instead, I see a black thumbnail for each imported image with a cassette recorder play icon in the center of each image.
I can view the NEF image in Finder preview mode, either directly when viewing the images on the camera SD card or after exporting the previously imported NEF image from Aperture to my desktop or user folder. Previously imported NEF image seem unaffected.

The current Apple OSX 10.10 Yosemite and the current Aperture version 3.6 do not have support yet for importing Nikon d750 nef/raw files. It usually takes Apple six to eight weeks to release a new digital camera raw update file for new Nikon dslr models. Once that digital camera raw update file is finally released, update your current version of Aperture and that will allow you to import your d750 raw files. In the meantime, you have many workarounds. In my opinion, the easiest is to save images in duplicate nef/raw and jpeg image files to your SD cards.
And for now, just import the jpegs to Aperture 3.6 from your d750. Process your jpegs in Aperture - and hope your clients are happy with the jpegs and can wait for later nef/raw image processing. Be sure to save and do not erase your original SD cards that include the nef/raw and jpeg files - then when Aperture finally releases a new digital camera raw file update that includes the d750 - just insert your original camera SD cards into the computer platform and import the old d750 nef/raw files and edit/process them.
There are many other ways to proceed in the interim as well. You can always import your d750 nef/raw images into Lightroom (if it has been updated to convert the d750 nef files) and process them there. But for the time being, if you can afford to save and hold onto your original SD cards and wait for the inevitable Aperture digital camera raw update, this is a very easy and simple way to proceed.

I have been an ardent user of aperture for years now and got used to the great workflow. Ever since version 1 I have been enjoying working with aperture. It is the workflow that kept me from changing.
I got a new MacPro 12 GB ram, 4TB HDD my library mostly indexed files sits on a raided 2TB for maximum of comfort. I did this in an effort to keep me from writing the posts I writing lately. I do not have the time rally to do this but reality is something different.
Today I am working on a job I need to finish quickly and in aperture workflow manner. Did you try deleting the mail account, then adding it back? I've read a lot of times that is what needs to happen in order for it to work properly.

If you are having the same problem, i.e. a disk permission problem, open your favorite search engine and search on, "change disk permissions", and I think you'll find plenty of information on how to fix the problem. This is a Lightroom forum. Your problem is with your operating system. There is no sense in rewriting instructions that are already available if you do a simple search.

Suggest that you do a Google search for the "guts" of your model/generation iMac. See what the "guts" are made of and post back your findings.

I think a few have.
Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Since this first message, the "Other" space has increased exponentially. The first time, after the "restore", it increased to over 9 GB. Later, I tried a minor restore again, and now it's over 10 GB. I've seen someone suggest that text messages are to blame. If my text messages are suddenly taking up 4 GB of space, I think we've got bigger problems.

I had this problem. I held down the power switch to power down completely. Takes a few seconds. Then use the power switch to turn on. Might take a couple goes.

its fixed!! After posting my problem with the FROZEN ipod classic (2007) 80 gb a screen popped up with similar subjects that I did not find in my original search. 'Rich Fleming' in the community posted a suggestion to someone with a similar frozen issue and it WORKED when I tried it.
hold the 'menu' and the 'circle' buttons down at the same time, KEEP the pressed until the apple appears. and now it is working. Hope this helps others.
