HP all in one ms237 cant get wireless drivers to work

Hi i have a HP all in one PC, ive had this PC for a very long time, we upgraded to windows 8 and i dont remember how but i did manage to get wireless drivers on it at one point. the PC's hard drive went out and so i bought a new one and re-installed windows 8 (64 bit) onto it and now i cant get wireless drivers to get installed on it. I tried running the drivers with windows 7 compatability but no dice. I also tried different versions of the driver and still no luck, device manager will see the wireless card but says its not working properly (driver issue) the weird thing is that when i uninstall the drivers for it i can see the adapter in adpater settings, however when i install newer drivers and it goes back to being non existent lol. Any ideas?

I understand that you are having issues getting your wireless to work on your HP Pavilion All-in-One MS237 Desktop PC running Windows 8. As you probably have already figured out there are no Windows 8 drivers for your computer. I can see why you would have issues installing Windows 7 drivers on a Windows 8 computer. What you probably did initially was upgrade your Windows 7 to Windows 8 with the driver already installed. Unlike a new Windows 8 installation where you need to install the drivers an upgrade will already have drivers installed and the operating system is simply replacing what is needed without having to go through the installation process.
I would recommend that you either install your original Windows 7 and then upgrade to Windows 8 or you may want to look at replacing the 802.11 b/g/n PCI express wireless half-length mini card with one that is compatible with Windows 8.

    Personally, I would connect it to one of the LAN port on the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS).
    If you do succeed in connecting it wirelessly, it will drag down your wireless speeds.

    Well, have you tried leaving the monitor cable connected to the onboard VGA and tried booting up? Sometimes you need to disable it within BIOS.

    I have a HPa  3055 all in one attached to a wireless print server that works with one Dell laptop that I upgraded from XP. But I can't get a New Toshiba Win7 to work wireless, but only with cable.

    Do you have a wireless router?  How is the print server configured with that?

    I have an HP photosmart C7280 All in One and I get a message that says pump motor stalled.  I have done everything from resetting and turning it off.  I have checked to make sure that there is not any paper jam.  It makes a clicking sound after it has been reset and then the message "pump motor stalled" pops up.  Any suggestions or should I just toss and buy new???  It is only three years old but it is out of warranty.

    I would like to print via the USB connection instead of wireless (the wireless does work, and the scanner works via USB).
    I tried connecting the printer directly (via USB) to my MacBook Pro laptop and it worked just fine.
    How can I make this printer work on my iMac?
    I spent 4 hours on the phone with HP and we did every combination of installation of drivers ad nausum and their bottom line is that it is a Mac problem.
    Any help would be appreciated. Will be sending this printer back to Amazon if I can't make it work on the USB.
    I am open to questions or suggestions

    After 4 hours on the phone with HP and another hour with Apple (Mavericks support) no real solution other than check everything (removed everything from Login Items, removed all HP software anywhere in the system reboot, reinstall printer) then when nothing worked for the 4500, did an OS Reinstall (boot with CMD+R).
    The Mavericks support group did open an incident (# 542875311) and I will update it when I figure out how to find it on the system.
    My feel is that the base problem is that somewhere between the HP-Inkjet-SW-OSX-Mavericks_v12.34.49-2 package and the Apple HP Printer software in the Library (version 2.16.1) the app for printing via the USP Port just does not get installed for the mid 2007 20 inch iMac. The scanner is recognized on the USB Port and the Printer works fine on Wi-Fi. I have too many devices to burden my home network with anothe device. Also, every time I put any HP Printer on Wi-Fi, my router (Netgear N600 WNDR3400 running 12 to 20 devices depending on who is home) gets wonky (but that's anothe story...).
    Additionally, when I attach the HP Envy 4500 to my MacBook Pro (2010) it works perfect - print and scan via the USB prot and both functions show in the System Preferences - Printers and Scanners just as expected and just as the 3050 does.

    Here are my best suggestions for your camera problem:
    • If Apple's http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090
       suggestions do not help you, (the "reset" suggested there
       often restores normal function,) continue with the following.
    • Use your Mac's Disk Utility to repair permissions and then
       download and apply the latest Combo Update for your Mac OS.
       If you are using OS X 10.7 or later, reinstall OS X.
    • Repair permissions again immediately following the system restart
       that completes the Combo update or reinstall.
    Properly applying the Combo version of updates can sometimes correct software problems, but, if your trouble is caused by a hardware problem, there are no user serviceable parts of the camera.  For hardware help, contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.
    (Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD."  Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)
       Unless you have a current backup, make one now.
      Then use the final "Troubleshooting" suggestion:
    "... contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service."

  • Cant get my sound to work :(

    I recently had to format my computer because of a virus that wouldnt let me log into windows. I was running win xp pro upgrade and it was running fine. Now i run win 98se becuase it wont let me upgrade for some wierd reason. but i cant get my sound to work. i try to install the drivers but i get a screen after the install wizard to put win98se cd in, select drive and press ok. well i clicked just about every option there was. and it would either flash back to the my documents on the selection screen or ask me if i want to cancell the installation, i have no idea what to do. I dont even know if it is recognizing that i even am using my integrated sound card. i would go and get another sound card but i dont have any money right now. anyone else have this problem or can help with with this problem??? ;(

    Hi,
    You can tell whether the system has found your soundcard hardware by looking in "Device Manager" have you yellow question marks that show hardware (but no drivers)? My apologies if you've done this.
    If I remember correctly (but don't quote me) when Windows98 asks for your 98SE disc it's looking for a file within one of the .CAB files on the 98SE (Correct me If I'm wrong) disc. If not, exactly which file is it looking for? - the requester should give you a clue. When you know what the file is, do a search on your 98 CD to see if you can find it. Then point the drivers install to that location (the directory where the .CAB OR relevant file resides.)
    You say that after failing to find the file on the 98 CD that it reverts to "My Documents" this would suggest that you'd previously installed drivers (or other Win98SE software) from that location. For some reason Win 98 assumes (for some stupid reason) that it'll find any future files it needs at the same location as previously installed files.
    Try installing the drivers for your sound using "Device Manager" click on the yellow question mark next to your hardware (if they are available) and Windows should open the "There is a problem with this device" (or words to that effect) requester and follow the instructions (wizard) from there.
    I'm going to nip off now as I have 98 SE on a different partition (I very rarely use it). I'll have a look and get back to you later.

    I had the exact same issue but finally after much reading found that the Advanced Video FX utility must be activated first, then open the Web Cam Center.
    On the upper left side just above your image is a Device Selection box. You may not redily recognize it as such.. Click on the down arrow just to the left of the Format tab and select the "Creative WebCam(With Video Effects)". Now try the effects. This did the trick for me. Hope it works for you!

    I already fixed the issue, it seems trhat in dreamweaver the fonts ttf , otf, etc must be in a folder named webfonts, and then dreamweaver connects the fonts stylesheet to the main stylesheeet with @inport.I had to unisntall the fonts from my windows and download them again and add tehm with dreamweaver add web fonts feature.

    There is something wrong in your settings. As the settings for each email provider are different you need to check your email server's web site for instructions. Most now have specific instructions for the iPhone. Also see Apple's instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1385
