HP B110a doesn't complete the scans

I'm not able anymore to scan using HP Scanning (in fact IrfanView+HP TWAIN that "triggers" the HP Scanning SW) . The scan starts but it "hangs" showing an "half-page" scanned. The only way to "conclude" the process is by "killing" the associated tasks via task manager. My PC is connected to the printer using an USB cable.
Surprisingly it scans without problems using the WebScan Option (which is much more limited than the desktop version).
Yesterday I've uninstalled and installed all the drivers and software but it didn't solve the problem.
Any tips will be  welcome

Hello,
Please try the below steps...
1) press WIN + R to display RUN box. Type in %TEMP% and hit OK .
Delete the content of the TEMP folder.
Restart the PC.
Now try scanning.
2) if issue still exist then download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from www.hp.com/go/tools

    This could well be the notorious Mac Defender - which is an annoying program that tricks you into thinking that your Mac is infected with a virus, when the only infection is Mac Defender itself.
    When surfing the web never EVER click on a link that says "Free anti-virus scan" or "Scan now" - they are nearly always scams which will end up infecting your computer.  Although Macs are resistant to viruses, they're not resistant to user stupidity.
    If you Google "Mac defender" then you'll find plenty of sites with instructions on how to remove this minor nuisance.  Take this as a warning that you need to be more careful in your surfing habits.

    Go to the HP site and look for drivers for your scanner. It apparently needs an updated driver to work with Mavericks.

  • Iweb publishing to...99% - but doesn't complete the task

    I've had no problems w/ iweb on my site, www.usgreenlist.com
    until now. The problems began after I deleted a very short blog page and added a snippet on another page to direct some one to a TV program in iTunes.
    Now iWeb loads 99% of the way, doesn't do the last update, and doesn't complete the publishing task. and sits...as if it were frozen.
    I've looked at iWeb help, I've published 'all' as instructed, instead of just the updates. I have the most updated iWeb.
    Any suggestions? Thank you.

    You can also try quitting iWeb, deleting the file Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist,
    restarting your Mac, running Disk Utility to repair permissions and then relaunching and try publishing again.

  • I just upgraded Firefox and it doesn't complete the installation before is give an error and stops running. What is wrong and how do I fix the problem?

    I have deleted the older version of Firefox and re-installed the latest version. I still get the same results.
    The error occurs when Firefox is putting up the home page. The Firefox home page is never completed. A message appears at the top which says, (Not Responding). The only thing I can do is close Firefox and start over again.
    I have turned off the firewall. Still no help.
    I am using McAfee.

    I have done it before.. but other than saying it worked there was no other indication.

    I decided to upgrade to the 8.0.2 via wi-fi. Suddenly, the Itunes and the usb cable symbols appeared on the screen, indicating that they should be connected. 
    Then the Itunes on my mac reported that an iphone in the recovery mode was detected and it would be necessary to recover it. I did it but it's still showing the symbols and doesn't turn on. Please help.

  • I have to restore my phone but it doesn't complete the restore process.

    I did something wrong and it's making me restore my Iphone in Itunes. It goes through the process but once it gets to the restore process it goes a little bit and then just stops. I let it run for a couple hours but it never moved. I tried numerous times and each time it stopped. Please help. =(

    Let your iPhone charge on the Wall Charger for 30 minutes and then try the Restore again. If still problems, and you are still under the 1 year Warranty or have AppleCare, then take iPhone to Apple for fix.

    Having a problem with what I believe is acpi. If I press the power button on my laptop or use the shutdown option in xfce, the screen instantly goes dark but the power button continues to glow. I've added a few flags onto the kernel load line in the grub menu file which didn't seem to solve anything.
    How can I proceed in getting a proper shutdown or where do I look to establish how to do it?

    40 seconds is quite long!
    there seems to be nothing wrong with your device, just the length of your ring tone.
    congrats on finding the limit!
    i would time the lenth of what it plays and splice the song to something smaller than that which would make more sense so it repeats itself better.

  • HT4913 Itunes match is not updating recently added songs. It doesn't seem to be able to complete the update when I start to match.

    I am experiencing difficulties adding new songs to icloud via itunes Match. Match just doesn't complete the update, keeps running and running, but never actually finishes. This make managing my music impossible as I can't make playlists until the songs have been loaded into the cloud. How can I fix or get around this? If this continues, I would like to remove Match entirely - how can I do this?

    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  It sounds like you should definitely be seeing a plus sign after tapping Edit, so I would try a couple relatively easy things (closing the Music app, resetting the iPhone):

    Sure it is, yet it's called HP LaserJet Professional M1210nf MFP Series *
    Today, I followed your other advice, and deleted the printer, deleted the /Library/Printer/hp folder, downloaded the entire set of driver, re-installed the printer twice, once with the driver, once with Bonjour.
    The Bonjour Printer has the scan option active, but it is doesn't work (refer to above.), it is called M1217nfw
    The Apple Driver Printer doesn't show the scan option at all, it is called M1217nf (as on the http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP list.) This model number doesn't exist, as far as I can tell. 
    Still, everything works perfectly in Snow Leopard, for a MF printer that has been manufactured years after Snow Leopard was released.
    Why going up in software version means going backwards in compatiblity for brand new product is really the question that puzzles me here.

    What Scanner and scanware are you using....?
