I've recently purchased the Hp Pavilion x2 10-020nr about a week ago, and have used it moderately everyday since.
I have not over-charged it or downloaded any malicious apps/software (as far as I know) but today I tried to turn it on after charging and all I got was a black screen that says

  • 6750 How can I get a ''Low Battery Alert'' from my...

I have recently bought  a 6750. At one point I realized that my phone died without any warning. Went through the User Guide, nothing.
Went through the phone and only found one thing under: >Settings > Tones > Other Tones, ON or OFF. I set it to ON.
Is this going to solve my problem or is there something else that I need to set?
How can a mobile not come by default with a low battery alert?
Maybe the OVI Suite should have a GUI to help setup the phone with all the proper instructions?

the only way to find out if warning tones set to on will work is to let the battery run low again
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Program start on critical battery alert

    Hey,
in windows XP i had the possibility to start a program once the battery of my notebook reached the 0%mark (or in other words I could choose to start an application as an action on the "critical battery alert".) This feature was removed in Windows Vista :(
Will it be available in Windows 7 again? Is there anything I can do to catch this event with the task-scheduler? I searched the forum, no topics about it.
I did a google research - many people would like this feature.
I searched for the event-id of the critical battery alert in the event-log but didn't find anything.
has anyone any more information? Why has this feature been removed? How can i work around it without starting my application manually or leaving it running the whole time?
    thanks,
    alex

  • HP Mini 311 - HP Battery Alert - Primary (Internal) Battery (601) - Error Message at Startup

I have a HP Mini 311-1037NR (Product Number is VBM262UA#ABA).   My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.
When I start up my HP Mini 311 I receive the following message:
    HP Battery Alert
The system has detected the storage capacity of the battery stated below to be very low.  For optimal performance, this battery may need to be replaced.
    Primary (Internal) Battery (601)
    ENTER - Continue Startup
    Here's are my questions:
First of all, what exactly is the problem here?  From what I have googled, it would appear the problem is NOT my external battery, but my internal battery.  What battery is needing replacement?  Does it have a name?
Second, is there a user guide out there that would assist me with the replacement process that someone can provide a link to or at least send me the page that helps me?  Is there a YouTube video (even better)?
Third, what exactly is the part number of the battery that needs replacement and exactly where do I purchase it (How much $$ does it cost)?  This question is important as I may be able to find out how to replace the battery, but without a way to purchase the replacement battery I'm still dead in the water.
Fourth, my HP Mini 311 just dies when I unplug it.  Will a remedy for the above issue remedy this issue as well?  I really do enjoy using my little HP Mini, but would prefer to have the option to use it without a power cord.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

    Hi Tim,
No problem and it's certainly wise to verify an answer.
I'd say you posted your question on the correct board.  It's usually best just to post once on the relevant board.  I do agree that the term 'internal' does cause unnecessary confusion.
Here's a link to your Maintenance & Service Guide.
Yes, I'm certain that the 601 error code refers to your notebooks main battery ( 602 is a failure code for machines that have a secondary storage cell ).  Interestingly, there is no error code generated for a failing rtc battery - or any in built diagnostic test for it, just the usual symptom of the system clock re-setting after each shutdown.
There's also a HP document regarding start-up battery alerts on the following link.

  • Hp battery alert 601

Hello. So upon start up of my notebook I would see a Hp battery alert 601 flash. This has been going on for months. My computer shut down on me as I was using it. When I turned it back on I saw the hp battery alert once again, it went to a system recovery screen, when I hit start with system repair a blue screen flashed and it shut down. I replaced the internal battery but when I restart the same hp battery alert screen still flashes followed by the windows recovery screen. If I select the startup repair it says problem cannot be fixed, if I select start windows normally it goes to the starting windows screen, the screen goes black and goes back to the hp battery alert screen. At this point I don't know what to do. Any suggestions please?

The battery needs calibrated or replaced.
To resolve a Battery Alert message, you should perform the Battery Test in the System Diagnostics (F2) environment, and calibrate the battery for best performance.
To access the HP System Diagnostics Battery Test , turn on the computer and immediately press the ESC key to display the Startup Menu. Press the System Diagnostics F2 key, and then select the Battery Test option.

  • How do I turn off the low battery alert for my wireless keyboard?

The question is in the subject line. I find it kind of annoying to have to keep closing the alert window, and am still able to use the keyboard for a while past when the low battery alerts began. I tried system preferences for both alerts and for the keyboard but am not seeing how to adjust it there. Any help is appreciated! And yes I understand changing the batteries would probably help but I am comfortable using the full life of the batteries rather than changing them out right away.

Edit: Oh I found a possible, but drastic solution: disable the whole notification centre:
    http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/how-to-completely-disable-notification-center-in-mac -os-x/
I haven't tested this long enough to know if it helps yet, but it is easy to turn on again. I am so annoyed with not being able to disable these warnings that I am more than happy to disable the whole notification centre, if that is what Apple wants us to do to sort this annoyance.

  • No more "Low Battery" alert

    hi,
my macbook doesn't give me anymore the "low battery" alert...
    i can't understand why...
    anyone could help me?
    sorry for my english...

Have you ever calibrated your battery?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1490
Is your machine shutting down before your battery indicator gets very low... or is the display showing it has run out but just not giving a warning?
Reset your System Management Controller (SMC). This can sometimes help with power-related issues. Be sure to follow the instructions for your particular model as they vary from machine to machine:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411
I would suggest resetting the SMC first as it is quick and simple. Calibrating your battery at this point may be difficult if your machine is not shutting down properly when your battery is low.

  • Wireless Keyboard - Low Battery Alert - Way to turn off?

I have a wireless keyboard (macbook late 2008 model running Lion) and while I've come to terms with the speed the thing eats away at batteries, I am most annoyed by the alerts telling me how low the battery is.  I get alerts at around 15% and around 10% they pop up almost every 7-10 minutes, which is quite annoying if you're doing a bit of work. I would prefer to use my batteries until they run out or at least until they are 5% or less, yet the annoying alerts almost make me wish to throw them out now.  Clearly the easiest solution is to just always use new batteries or rechargables, but I would prefer to find a method to just get rid of the warning altogether. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    To my knowledge, no.

  • Need help creating full battery alert using visual basic script

    Hi,
I have been searching for resources, programs and code that will create an alert for me to unplug my charger when my laptop
battery is charged to full (or almost full).
The only problem with this code is that
Line 13: iRemaining (or RemainingCapacity called from BatteryStatus returns a 0 (might be a floating point which I can't figure out why). I even checked the microsoft documentation and its supposed to be a percentage.
I want to get either the current percentage of the battery or the total Fullchargedcapacity and the EstimatedRemainingCapacity to find the % of battery level.
Essentially what I am asking is how can I return the battery % using visual basic script.
    Help!
    The Code:
    1 set oLocator = CreateObject("WbemScripting.SWbemLocator")
    2 set oServices = oLocator.ConnectServer(".","root\wmi")
    3 set oResults = oServices.ExecQuery("select * from batteryfullchargedcapacity")
4 for each oResult in oResults iFull = oResult.FullChargedCapacity
    5 next
    6
    7 while (1)
    8 set oResults = oServices.ExecQuery("select * from batterystatus")
9 for each oResult in oResults
    10 iRemaining = oResult.RemainingCapacity
    12 bCharging = oResult.Charging
    12 next
    13 iPercent = ((iRemaining / iFull) * 100) mod 100
14 if bCharging and (iPercent > 95) Then msgbox "Battery is at " & iPercent "%",vbInformation,"Battery monitor"
    15 wscript.sleep 30000 ' (30 seconds)
    16 wend

14 if bCharging and (iPercent > 95) Then msgbox "Battery is at " & iPercent "%",vbInformation,"Battery monitor"
On my Windows 7 machine your script returns the desired percentage (after adding the missing "&" to the right of "iPercent" in Line 14).

  • LOW BATTERY ALERT!!!

HEY! I OWN A SATELLITE A305-S6858 AND WHEN THE BATTERY  GETS TO A LOW POINT I ONLY GET A QUICK ON SCREEN MESSAGE "10% BATTERY POWER REMAINING". I CAN NOT FIND AN AUDIO ALERT LOUD ENOUGH TO WARN ME RIGHT BEFORE IT SHUTS DOWN. I HAVE GONE TO CONTROL PANEL AND CHOSEN THE LOUDEST ALERT I COULD FIND BUT IT  IS BARELY LOUD ENOUGH TO TAKE NOTICE. I AM USE TO A MUCH LOUDER AND REPETITIVE WARNING SYSTEM ON MY LAST LAPTOP (ALSO A SATELLITE).
ANY SUGGESTIONS/ADVICE ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

According to Microsoft this is by design.. check this out  "Low" and "Critical" battery alarms do not sound on a Windows Vista based computer

  • Low battery alert tone iPhone 3GS

I was wondering if anyone can confirm if there is a way for to be notified when the battery reaches a low level by way of a tone, which is common place on all other mobile phones that I know of. After looking around I cannot get a definite answer.

    ShadyMac wrote:
iPhone does have an alert...however only when talking on it...it will alert at 20%, 10% and 5%...
if you mean while on standby...no...it only gives the screen pop up not an audible tone you can hear if not next to it
Thanks for the help ShadyMac its much appreciated.
I cannot believe Apple would have overlooked/left out a low battery tone for when the iPhone is in sleep mode. You would expect that this could be implemented easily in an update. This has surely got to be included ASAP in the next update.
