HP Business Inkjet 1000/1200 networked and Windows 7 64-bit

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help, I'm having an absolute nightmare getting our HP Business Inkjet 1000/1200 printers working on our laptops which have Windows 7 64-bit installed. There is no Windows 7 driver to download for this printer, I'm using the pre-installed one in Windows 7, I can get this to work perfectly with Windows 7 32-bit in our VMWare enviroment but on the laptops it just freezes programs when you go to print (mainly Office 2010). I have networked the printers on a Windows Server 2008 SP2 32-bit print server. I have added the print drivers to the server through print management console, from Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit. I can use the same print driver locally to the laptops and add the TCP/IP ports from there and it works perfectly but I really do not want to be manually adding the printers locally, I want users to be able to add from the print server directory.
Shot in the dark but has anyone else had a similar experience?
Regards,
Ross

  • HP Business Inkjet 1000/1100 Windows 7/Server 2003 Driver Issues

Hi, wondering if anyone can help.
We are having problems with Windows 7 32-bit printer drivers and our print server which is on Server 2003, the printers concerned are a HP Business Inkjet 1000 and 1100. We have VMWare installed on our clients running Windows 7, I can add the printers locally onto any vdi desktop using the driver pre-installed on Windows 7 and it can print perfectly with both of those printers. I installed the same driver onto our print server, tried two ways, first I connected to the server through Print Management and updated the driver from one of our Windows 7 clients (which is how I've been instructed to do) and I've also tried finding the local printer on my Windows 7 desktop while logged in Server 2003, both ways appear to installed the driver with no errors but when you go to print it just prints 3 blank sheets no matter what you print, it even does this for the test page, also the Printing Defaults under the Advanced tab keep resetting themselves, it's not applying any changes I make.
I'm failing to understand how the driver can appear to work when installed locally on the desktop but when it drags it from Server 2003 it's not printing correctly when in essence it is the exact same driver .... is Server 2003 not liking the fact it's a Windows 7 driver?
I am using the HP Business Inkjet 1000 driver in-box on Windows 7 Enterprise for both printers. The reason I'm using this driver is because the XP version of this driver which we had on our print server would print but would not print out certain graphics and symbols when printing from Windows 7.
    Anyone else had similar issues?
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Will MacBook Pro NOT work with my HP Business Inkjet 1000 printer??

HP Business Inkjet 1000 Printer driver not available  for MacBook Pro?    Somebody please help    Realtor Jo !

HI , Welcome to the HP Support forums!
I understand that you're having issues printing from one of your computers to your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer. I would be happy to look into this with you.
How is the printer connected this computer? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless) Please download and run the Print and Scan Doctor, it will likely diagnose and resolve the issue you are experiencing. What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
For wireless or wired connection issues, I would try the steps within this guide: An 'Unable to Find the Printer'.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you. Good Luck!

  • Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine, tried solutions from other threads with no luck, just thought i'd see if anyone else had any ideas, thanks.

Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine so the problem seems confined to Windows 7. I've tried solutions from other threads -
Making sure everything is allowed through firewall
    Rebooting phone/laptop/router
    Disabling ipv6
Disabling all networks except the one curently on
    Re-installing iTunes
    Restoring iPhone
No luck with any of those unfortunately so i just thought i'd see if anyone else is still without wifi sync after trying those as well and if you ever found a fix, thanks.

I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

  • Adobe Reader X 10.1 Install Failing on XP SP3 and Windows 7 (64 bit)

After using the Customization Wizard 10 to create an .mst and executing the install via SCCM 2007 which I have done many times before, I am getting the following error on both the XP SP3 and Windows 7 (64 bit) machines in the Application Event Log:
    Product: Adobe Reader X (10.1.0) -- Error 2229.Database: . Could not load table 'ServiceInstall' in SQL query: SELECT `Name`,`DisplayName`,`ServiceType`,`StartType`,`ErrorControl`,`LoadOrderGroup`,`Dependenc ies`,`StartName`,`Password`,`ComponentId`,`Directory_`,`FileName`,`Arguments`,`Description ` FROM `ServiceInstall`, `Component`, `File` WHERE `ServiceInstall`.`Component_` = `Component`.`Component` AND (`Component`.`KeyPath` = `File`.`File`) AND (`Action` = 1 OR `Action` = 2).
I used the following .msi to create the.mst:
    AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi
Does anyone know where to go from here?
    Thanks, Sandy

I have found another possible bug affecting network printing with 10.1.2 in Protected Mode on XP SP3 machines that has not been previously documented:
A number of users in one office were not able to print with 10.1.2 in Protected Mode (even with the printing hotfix/patch previously released) to their default printer; however they were able to print fine with 10.0.1 in Protected Mode OR by disabling Protected Mode in 10.1.2.  They could print to Microsoft XPS Document Writer, however.
The cause was determined to be an issue with capitilization of the printer name in the registry!  10.1.2 in Protected Mode seems to be sensitive to this for some strange reason, though other apps don't care.
Check the following keys and ensure the capitalization of any references to name of your printer (or UNC path of the printer share) is consistent:
    HKCU\Printers\Connections
    HKCU\Printers\Settings
    HKCU\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows\Device
In our case, the reference to the name of the default printer was in lowercase, while the printer path recorded under settings was in UPPERCASE.   Changing this to match immediately fixed the problem.

  • TS1717 iTunes 11 and Windows 7 (32 bit). iTunes crashes frequently (Windows message : "iTunes has stopped working and will be closed").

iTunes 11.0.1.12 and Windows 7 (32 bit, latest version). iTunes crashes frequently (Windows message : "iTunes has stopped working and will be closed"). I may be trying to search for an App. or book (or anything else), trying to access iTunes store, checking for updates to Apps., inputting my password, etc. etc. I have uninstalled iTunes several times, reinstalled several times, but the error persists. I tried the iTunes 10 suggested fix of running in safe mode, but iTunes again crashed when I was trying to create a new ID.
Any real help would be gratefully received. Thank you.

  • Missing *.inf driver for 2605dtn and windows 7 64 bit

missing *.inf driver for 2605dtn and windows 7 64 bit
I just piurchased a new HP laptop with windows 7 64 bit installed.  I do not have any windows 7 disks.
Where do I obtain the necessary drivers for this printer?

    HI RandyJohnson,
You do not need to download drivers for this product. Print drivers for your product are available within the Windows 7 operating system. Use Devices and Printers, formerly known as the Add Printer Wizard, to obtain the Windows 7 update. For more information,  go to Install the Printer Driver through the Windows 7 Operating System (c02536257) (in English).

  • Screen print imac with bootcamp and windows 7 64 bit

I have a new 27" Imac i7. I have boot camp installed and windows 7 64 bit. I have auto-cad installed for college. There are several assignments that require a screen print to turn in. I have not been able to figure this out. I have been using the snipping tool, but in certain instances i need a menu drop down included in the screen print. With the snipping tool the menu goes away. I have looked for some ways to do a screen print while in windows, and have been unsuccessful. I have a wireless apple keyboard, the shorter one. The F keys are enabled to be used as the real F keys without using the fn key on the windows side. So when i hit F10 for example it is the real F10 function. Does anyone have any ideas?

I can get those keys to work if i make the keyboard use the shortcut keys that are listed on the top. For example, if i want to use the f10-f12 keys to control the volume without having to hit the fn key. If i set the keyboard up that way that key combo will work. But if i set up the keyboard to use the f keys really be f keys without hitting the fn key, it will not work. Would you know how to get it like that? I have tried just leaving the fn key out of that combo and it will not work.

  • Wheel Mousr fix and Windows 7 64 bit

I am using Visual Basic 6 and Window 7 64 bit for my OS. I have the wheel mouse fix for XP, and it also works in Windows 7 32 bit, like the fix did for XP. The Wheel Mouse Fix works fine in Windows 7 32 bit, but doesn't using Windows 7 64 bit. It will
move sometimes, but not like in a 32 bit OS. How can I get the Wheel mouse fix to work using Windows 7 64 bit??? Is there some way to make it call the Program Files(x86) folder???
The command line for registering the DLL is:
Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 C:\VBMouse\VB6IDEMouseWheelAddin.dll, and then click OK.
Like I said it works fine for 32 bit, but not using 64 bit. Anyone out there have any ideas.
    Thanks,
    dabeartn

    Hi,
I'm very pleased to say that I've just this minute figured this one out.
I'm assuming you've grabbed the download from here:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837910
    The solution is here:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282747
What I suggest you do is:
    1. Put VB6IDEMouseWheelAddin.dll somewhere where it can live forever more - I went for C:\Windows
    2. Open a command prompt (I opened mine as Admin, not sure if it's necessary but why not eh?)
    3. cd \windows\syswow64
    4. regsvr32 c:\Windows\VB6IDEMouseWheelAddin.dll
Then open VB6 as usual, under the Add-Ins menu click on Add-In Manager and you should see MouseWheel Fix at the very top. Just tick the Load Behavior boxes as you wish and that's it.
    Cheers,
    Nick

  • Apple wireless network and windows adapter

I have an apple extreme wireless network established in our complex and most of the users of the network are window users. They want to connect to this network with a good strong signal. What is the best wireless adapter they should consider to purchase to connect to this wireless network other than Airport Express? What would be best for desktops as well as laptops?

The Apple base stations create a standard 802.11b/g or 802.11n wireless network (depending on how you configure them).
Therefore any wireless adapter compatible with those standards and Windows should work. Of course with Windows you always encounter strange unpredictable compatibility problems.
I suggest that you visit discussion areas dedicated to Windows or the flavor of hardware you are using. You will probably find many recommendations.

  • Printing over internet from mobile network and windows

Hello. I have two kids living with their mother half of the time. They often needs to print things for their studies. How can I set up my print-server so they can print from their mothers computer. It's a win xp machine with mobile network. I have the printer shared with samba and I'm running an Apache server with a DynDNS IP-adress.

if everything (samba) is configured correctly, the printer should just show up on the network and can be added from the control panel->add printers wizard.  you will probably have to install the printer drivers on the client (your kids) computers, which if you don't have the disk are normally available from the manufacturers website.

  • How to install HP Color LaserJet 4600 Networked to Windows 7 (64 bits) ?

I am running windows 7 64 bit trying to connect to a HP color laser jet 4600. We have tried multiple times to get a Notebook to load the driver. Everything works and asks to print a test page. When you press print test page nothing happens and nothing will print.
This is a working printer. It is presently hooked to a network and it works from it. I am trying to make it work from my notebook. I am using a ethernet cable wired directly to the Jetdirict card.
Do I need to set up a network. I know the IP of the printer and can not access it from the Notebook.

This should work for you.  I've installed several printers using a Jet Direct this way:
Install the printer manually.  Go into Devices and Printers -> Click "Add a printer" then select "add a local printer" and select the option for "Create a new port - Standard TCP/IP Port" and click next.  Type the IP address of the printer into the Hostname/IP Address field then click "next" -  Choose Hewlett Packard Jet Direct from the Standard drop down menu then click next.  You will need to select your printer model/driver from the list and then click next.

  • Iphone and Windows 7 64 bit

I am using the RC of windows 7 64 bit and I have trouble connecting my iphone or ipod. I installed the 64 bit version of itunes and it works, but it doesnt install the mobile device services and drivers as it seems. my iphone gets detected as a camera, but i can't synch it with itunes. Is there any solution to this?

Okay, I'm throwing in the towel for now. I unplugged every USB device, turned off my Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, unplugged the wireless router and unplugged the cable, turned off wifi on the iPhone, and using a USB mouse I started iTunes. By the way, it seem to take an awful long time just to start up besides not seeing the iPhones.
Then I plugged in my iPhone and waited. Nothing at all. No error messages but no iPhone. I turned it off and on, left it hooked up while I restarted iTunes, did a hard reboot while it was plugged in. NO reaction whatsoever from iTunes.
Then I happened to notice that Skype was doing something in the system tray so I (for the heck of it) disabled it and immediately got the old error message that an iPhone has been detected but can't be identified.
This eco system is too fragile. Even if I got my iPhone identified once I could never be sure that I wouldn't breathe the wrong way and knock it out again. I'm going to live with my bizarro work-around of connecting to a spare XP tower (no keyboard, mouse or monitor) that can sit on my network at home and control the iTunes sync via GoToMyPC. This was the PC I was using before the Vista machine. I guess I'm using it as a iTunes 8.2 server.
This has to be an issue that Apple addresses in the not too distant future, one would hope. I'm going to try and wait it out.
